You can disable Flash, but you cannot disable the HTML5 native <video>... Until today! This is only Chrome extension on the Chrome Store which will block the <video> tag in your browser. It was very annoying for me when I browsed the web and suddenly some video started to play music or showing an advertisement and I've had to kill the browser's tab or lower the speakers' volume. That's why I've created this extension. Now any video won't start playing until I click the red agreement button. Chrome is about to block the Flash Player so the Flash ads won't be a problem in a few weeks. But the ads companies will move their ads to the native HTML5 and will use the <video> tag which can be blocked only by this plugin. The youtube.com and vimeo.com domains are on the whitelist so videos work normally there.
You could download the latest version crx file or older version files and install it.

It works, but it also stops videos playing that I want to play, e.g. Wikipedia videos.
useless
It works, except on pages with multiple videos. once you start the first videos and you scroll down/up, all other videos on that page will autoplay. i haven't checked whether that's true only for that page or for the entire domain, as the extension is broken and therefore undesirable.
