This bitly extension used to be my favorite, but now it won't work at all. I've used bitly over 10 years, but the extension quit working last week. Tried removing, clearing browser cache, logging out of browser (and back in), closing browser, reinstalled. NOTHING. It prompts me to log in but does nothing when I click on the Log In button. :(
EDITED 14.Nov.2022: They fix one thing and break another. Now you CAN exit the plugin with an outside click and with Esc, however the auto-copy function does not work, even though there is a setting for it. Overall, very useful plugin, I use it about 20 times a day even with the problems it has. It was nearly perfect a few months ago :'(
When I attempt to sign in with my Google Account the screen pops up that asks me to sign in even though I'm already signed into my Google account. This is suspicious phishing behavior. The screen provides no visibly on the URL I'm in. It could simply be a fake screen.
