[v3.4] 9/4/21: Updated setup instructions to be more explicit and clear
2) I had to remove the default key due to security concerns. You now have to create a key to use the application.
1) Sorry for the inconvenience but YouTube has removed the category label in video descriptions so the extension does not work anymore automatically.
I have updated the application to get the category another way but you will have to set up your own data key in google. It should only take 5-10 minutes to create your own key from the instructions.

If you want something that hides non wanted videos and lets you choose which video categories to not show then the YouTube Focus Mode extension is for you: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/youtube-focus-mode/jedeklblgiihonnldgldeagmbkhlblek This extension doesn't block videos the way I would like it to. If you click a video that is entertainment it redirects you to the youtube home page. I would like it to hide the entertainment videos or gray them out. It is still pretty cool so I will will continue to use it.

The link in the description leads to a wrong site, one needs to search for "google coloud platform" to get to the right one (Also I didn't need to create a new account, somehow I already did that once or it just runs on my google account).
Are you serious? In order to use this garbage extension, I have to create an account that requires a credit card? Removed and reported.
