Please keep the extension up to date on Microsoft Edge addons store. there is currently a version mismatch between Edge addons store and Chrome store. on Edge addons store: Version 3.0.5 Updated October 30, 2020 on Chrome store: Version 3.0.6 Updated June 1, 2021
This extension causes repeated "failure to load" errors on google platform services including google docs, google slides, and gmail. Incredibly annoying if you use any of these services.
Great app ! What else can I say ?
Please enable an option to spoof webgl to a fixed value
Badass extension but it will be cool if it will be free
It fails when detecting display resolution and operative system in test https://coveryourtracks.eff.org (detects anyway) It also blocks youtube videos when using audio fingerprint protection. slows down some pages font fingerprint protectios is also marginal.
next level privacy here, touches almost all the fingerprint issues in 1 extension!
Please add domain by options like umatrix or script safe for protection because solo configuration sometimes broke webpages
I have to say, while I'm not the biggest fan of the UI (it's quite a bit better when changed to the top layout with premium though), this extension is insanely powerful, and by far the best option among privacy possum, and privacy badger, it takes time to setup properly so it abides by captcha guidelines and doesn't break pages, but once it's setup properly it's fantastic and ridiculously efficient. It negates the need for some extensions I used to use like ping blocker. If I had to give some critiques, I'll have to say that the canvas protection on chrome is not good and there are far better alternatives (it works a lot better on Firefox, seems to function differently), and that the rel=noopener feature literally doesn't work (on both FF and Chrome), despite the criticisms, it's a 10/10 in my book, I hope that it gets long term support.
i like it it let me know that someone was trying to finger p me it works good
Pros: - client rect, webgl, canvas, and other randomizations protections work - unlike CyDec, the random output is clean and reasonable (no meaningless gibberish) - the developer provides clear settings description and excellent learning resources - the code is open sourc eon github - there are a lot of options Cons: - the github repo is not yet open to contributors - some randomizations renew on every request (looks suspicious): an option to randomize only on new session would be great - audio buffer copyFromChannel does not appear to work and audio buffer getDataChannel is not protected - like many other fingerprint extensions, the code itself can be fingerprinted and there are no protections in place. Enter this in the console to view the code fingerprint: HTMLCanvasElement.prototype.toDataURL.toString() CanvasRenderingContext2D.prototype.getImageData.toString() Reference https://adtechmadness.wordpress.com/2019/03/23/javascript-tampering-detection-and-stealth/
Love it. Some sites have issues with the plugin. For example, *docs.google.com* - must have getClientRects Protection disabled or the sheets will return "Something Went Wrong - Refresh. Unable to Load File: try to load it again or send an error report" error. Disabling getClientRects Protection for this will fix the issue.
I was setting up a new chromium based browser that would not stop leaking all my devices (tested on www.deviceinfo.me), this extension was the only one that managed to stop it on that particular browser.
Everyone should have it
good
doesn`t work in chrome, edge dev and firefox as well.
Mouais Bof...un de plus..;qui fait comme les autres...et qui vous trace aussi !
Really great work, both on the extension itself, and the way the developer is so responsive to comments. I've installed it on both Chrome and Firefox. Congratulations!
Really good extension - works well. If there any issues, they are resolved quickly.
Great potential!
You did a great job! It's working like a charm
It did not work for me. Even though I set the strength as high as possible, when I tested in Panopticlick it said: Is your browser blocking tracking ads? PARTIAL Is your browser blocking invisible trackers? PARTIAL
I use default setting on Chrome and Firefox when I went to google scholar or some site using google recaptha v3 I experienced terrible repeat and repeat validation for almost 10 times.
Given it five stars. However I have uninstalled and reinstalled it three times as I accidentally blocked something and couldn't unblock it, start again.
The main features (which is Canvas protector) seem working well, at least they're to the point. The rest of it would be too cryptic for casual users. Man, I need more than 5 minutes to realize Web Request Controller was a minimalist ads/trackers/crypto blocker. As per version 6.0.2, the Premium version seem only for that Web Request Controller list, I say that's still acceptable. Author, put your https://github.com/jake-cryptic/AbsoluteDoubleTrace link everywhere, the ranter already show up :p
not opened source. It has a premium feature that you have to pay £3 for to get additional payed features. sorry but i'll stick with privacy possum
How tf can one person manage something like this. Both feature and interface are excellent. I tried to access coinhive to see if this blocks crypto mining and it works perfectly.
As soon as you buy and enter your premium code the extension, it slows down to a crawl because of the "premium" block list. Nothing is gained by getting "premium" at the moment. Also the app fails to hide the things it blocks leaving you with large white blocks on websites...
An unobtrusive but feature packed extension, frequent updates and huge block list make this a useful tool for prevent tracking and in a lot of case speeds up browsing too.
Not had any issues with this extension and it does exactly what it says on the tin!
This is very nice. I wish the source were published, though. I didn't see it listed on github with your other projects.
A feature rich extension for the privacy conscious that is proactively updated to mitigate the latest privacy intrusion techniques. *responsible disclosure: No external party had any form of editorial control over this review but I do know the developer*
