What’s new in version 0.1.3?
Video Popout is an extension that lets you easily detach the active video in a tab and load it in a small and floating popup outside of the current window.
The floating window remains active even if you change the active tab. Please note that if you close the tab that contains the video, the floating popup window will be closed as well. This addon uses the new JavaScript API called "picture-in-picture". It currently works in all modern browsers. It is important to note that, the floating window will stay on top of other windows.
Note: please play the video first and then click on the toolbar button to make it pop-out. A paused or stopped video element, will not respond to the pop-out request.

What's the point of this plugin? The people that like this extension seem to be unaware that there's ALREADY one currently built into chrome that offers some extras. This one requires me to click play before it will even do the popout/PIP and it's worse than chrome/googles. You can at least juggle through video selection in googles/chrome by clicking the extension and you're not required to be on the particular tab you're wanting to view the video/PIP with. Offers zero video control(volume/forward/backward/ETC) outside of play/pause/close/back to tab. Even the sizing is the exact same as chrome. Don't bother. Granted I'm using this on youtube. So it may have more functionality elsewhere, but it's pointless to me.

Just click play on a video, click the extension, and just like that, you're watching YouTube, 123Movies, or ANY VIDEO which opens up in a resizable pinned window. I NEVER review plugins but... This is AWESOME! -Great for students who can't afford a multi-monitor display; great for studying. -Great for employee productivity. (Watch relaxing videos to encourage happy thoughts without getting distracted) -Great for gamers! (Watch a movie while you play a calm video game)
