Slack Blocker is finally here! Slack Blocker is a simple tool that will block and hide those unwanted messages in Slack to help you be more productive. All you have to do is enter the unique Slack Member ID -- using comma for multiple users -- save the changes and enjoy the quiet. How to use it: • After you have successfully installed it, you will see the icon of Slack Blocker next to the URL bar. If you click on it, a popup window will appear. Please, see the screenshots. • In the popup window, you will see a text bar. Here is where you enter the Slack Member IDs. Slack Member IDs are in the form of C0K6F928Y, DFU7LHB8A. NOT HANDLES like @mcorey You can get the User ID by following these steps: 1)Click on the user's/bot's name/photo from any channel 2) Select View Profile 3)The user/bot's profile will open on the right-hand side. 4) Click on the three dots for more actions. 5) Select Copy Member ID (See screenshots) You can also get the Slack Member IDs from the URL. See the screenshots. • After you have entered all the Slack Member IDs that you wish to block, you will need to choose whether you want to Block Direct Messages/Channels or Delete Messages. If you choose the Block Direct Messages/Channels option, the DM/Channel will be hidden. If you choose the Delete Messages option, you will not see the blocked users’ messages anywhere. • Lastly, click Save to save your preferences and all the slack tabs will refresh, in order to have the new preferences taking place. Release v0.9.1 BETA • Hides unwanted DM/Channels. • Deletes messages everywhere.
