I've used this extension a lot while doing data-entry job and it's really sleek and simple, zero distraction and complexity. This is the good example of UX is more important than UI.

I love this. The functionality and simplicity is great. The only thing I would suggest is a way to make this extension the new tab page. It seems like this is supposed to be possible, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how.

Simple and exactly what I needed

Hey mate, this extension works flawlessly! I have one question though: when brainstorming, I like to use an outliner structure. I've seen that My Notes supports bullet lists, but when I press the tab key to indent, I'm not able to create a nested bullet. Let me explain with an example If I press the tab key I get: * Topic 1 * Topic 2 Instead I need: * Topic 1 * Topic 2 Thanks!

Most useful chrome extension I have ever used. It has simplified everything for me.

This extension is absolutely amazing! It is blazing fast, and has all the functionality and formatting capabilities i have been looking for. I've tried apps like: Notion, Obsidian, OneNote etc.. all of them are clunky. I just have two questions though, when trying to enable Auto Sync to Google drive, it is greyed out. How can i fix this? The other thing was, does it have a folder structure to create sub folders? for example, if i create a folder called: programming notes, can i create a sub folders to that folder called: classes, variables, etc?

It would be so great if the extension has a popup version besides the new tab one, but still the best note-taking extensions Ive ever used. Keep up the good work!!!

Hi Pavel, I really like My notes! I use it everyday at work. The only thing in my opinion that it is missing is a way to search through the entire notes. A search bar would be really helpful to find things I have written and that I have difficulty finding. Is it on your To Do list by any chance? The extension would then be perfect! Been using this for a while now, and I'm very impressed. It's a shame that the Chrome Web Store tends to make it difficult for newer extensions to gain traction, because this truly is quality and it has more functionality than you'd think a chrome extension would be capable of. I know that this is not meant to be a replacement for a bookmark/link organizer, but it's so good that I find myself wanting to organize links in it – would it be possible to, let's say, right-click a link and have it saved to a note? Also, some type of folder structure for notes would be great, but I understand that's likely outside the scope of your goals here; I'm just finding myself with tons of notes that it's getting hard to keep track! It's a testament to the quality of your extension that I want to do everything in it, so thanks so much for your hard work, and I'm looking forward to more features!

Living in the browser house that we all/most live in, I like to transcribe videos as a "note-taking" memory tool. It's tiring to have to switch between a browser and a hugemongous office suit simply for notes. This app is amazing to me as it is made "exactly to order". Thank you Pavel. You are genius. If more people only knew about this super-fast, immediately available extension....

This is the only Chrome extension for taking notes that works for me. It syncs across my various computers, allows pasting without formatting, is easily accessible, and is fast and easy to use. Love it!

I liked it very much and had three or four separate lists of items such as Today, Medical etc. But when I was editing the medical list, everything vanished and only a blank page comes on with the title medical. Please help me to get back all my notes. Thanks and regards _ Justice Rangarajan

Love it, so easy and elegant

I have been using this extension for the past few months now and have loved it. It is very handy and easy to use. But a few days ago, it started misbehaving and is not properly syncing with Google Drive. It reverts back my changes many a times which is really bad because I have to redo all the work again. My internet connection is working perfectly and that is not the problem. So, unfortunately, I have to stop using it. Will try it again if and when the developer resolves this problem.

Very nice. 4 stars as I think I have 3 things that would make it totally perfect for me. 1 - having multiple notes is great, but it would be really nice to be able to re-order them in the left hand bar, to group similar ones together. I can't see how to do that. 2 - having an option for it to pop up on the current tab to allow me to select a note to copy to the clipboard would be invaluable, rather than clicking between tabs. 3 - being able to double click on the note name to copy that entire note to clipboard would be nice. Yeah I know I'm lazy :-) that said, it's installed on my account and it's staying. All good.

[ISSUE] Google sync is not working on MS Edge. Can you please help! This is an awesome extension!

Fantastic extension!! Instant access & clean, distraction-free design, but with a surprising amount of functionality & formatting capability (e.g. links, tables & even images) for such a small footprint. And Google Drive sync means I don't have to worry that my notes will be misplaced or lost; even though many/most will be temporary, I still want the security of a backup if I'm in the middle of something complicated or lengthy.

I'm impressed by all of the features it is providing me.

This extension's simplicity is what does it for me. A few clicks in settings and you can set it to open every new tab so you can take notes almost immediately without going through too many menus or key strokes. I also like how you can change the shortcut keys for everything and there is a dark mode. This extension was very well thought out and is great for keeping on top of my school work. The only thing I wish is that there were two separate buttons for "Sync to" and "Sync from" instead of just "Sync". Or maybe there is and I don't know how to use the Drive sync properly. All in all, it is a great productivity school for a single computer but (For me at least) using multiple machines with Google Drive can be iffy.

Nearly brilliant! You can cut and paste colours tables, images! and your own font sizes and colours straight into it. I'm not entirely sure where cut and pasted images are being kept (they aren't embedded in the Drive-sync docs - and no I don't mean url linked-images I mean embedded). But the deal-breaker is the 5MB limit. It needs to 100 times that. Fingers crossed - 5 stars waiting! I don't mind losing 'new tab' functionality as there are 'tab redirect extensions' you can use for that.

Love this extension, it's super simple and allows me to create quick notes. One of the only things I have an issue with is that the shortcut key to sync the notes does not work. I am on a Mac and have tried CMD + Shift + S but nothing happens when I do it. I have to show sidebar and manually click on the sync icon to sync it. The reason I would love that to be fixed is because I use some scripts to automatically update some of the notes I take and need to sync the notes multiple times. The shortcut not working means I have to keep using the mouse to sync the notes. Hopefully that's fix in a future update.

I like the fact that you can change the font to anything you like included in Google Fonts :-) Keep up the good work, developer!

Why just four stars? I've been looking to see what the file format is for My Notes and can't find anything except for some reference that HTML can be used. Indeed, Chrome will open and display My Notes when synced to my Android based phone but Chrome doesn't allow editing. Question: what is the file format? Pseudo HTML? or plain text (ASCII or ISO?) Also waiting for a solution to be able to edit the My Notes on my Android phone and sync any changes back to Chrome on my Computers. /ch

Great browser extension and encourage you to continue the development. I review and feature software, etc... on my tech site "Tech News For You (technewsforyou.com)" and recently featured "My Notes". I am hoping that the syncing feature can be optimized so that you can use it with the other Chromium based browsers (such as Vivaldi, Edge, Brave, etc...). Otherwise, this extension is a winner...

really cool extension, but for some reason, it's not showing on the context menu (right click on a chrome tab). should it automatically go there or do I have to change some setting? I looked all over the place for a option that says "add to context menu" but I couldn't find anything. this means I can't really "send to clipboard". overall, excellent extension though!

Love the elegant simplicity. As an Edge (Chromium) user though, the lack of Google Drive Sync is keeping me from fully embracing it.

Works great under Chrome on my Windows 10 machine. However, I'm switching over to Microsoft Edge. This extension installs OK in Edge, but the Google Drive Sync doesn't work. Would love it if you could put this on your fix list! Cheers

Is this extension capable of running on a mobile platform? Would like to sync notes between mobile and desktop.

It is a very useful extension and very well done, as it is working fine just after instalation. Unfortunately I don't know which is the problem, but when I close the browser and open it again the right click option to save the slecrted content STOP WORKING and it does not appear anymore. So the clipboard collection stop working at all. I can still open open a new tab with this extension and paste content on it, but the automatic pasting in the clipboard by right clicking it is no possible anymbore. I try everuthing....Remove it and reinstall it again, remove other extension for a possible conflict, even rebooting the computer and reinstaling agian. Nothing seems to work. Ecah time I tried, work perfectly as soon I installed it, until I close the broser and open it up again... Really a pitty , because otherwise it is a wonderful extension !!!!! , and unfortunatelly I could find another one with similar characteristics yet !!!

Perfect. I was using keep. But this is definitely right there for you. Also when using different computers. Sweet extension. no more sticky notes or keep!

Awesome extension - I love it! Been using it since the "early days" and seen how it progress over the months. Whenever I go to a new tab, I love seeing my notes instead of the normal new tab. I guess, it really fits on my workflow/style. The Google Drive Sync feature is awesome as well! I once lost my notes and was sad about it, but now I know my notes are safe and will never get lost again!

I would love this on my phone. Any chance of doing Android app?

The reason why i loved this app because it was very useful and you can save your writings and it was much very big so i give that a good rating also it had titles so yes i enjoy using this app.

Awesome extension. UPD: Unfortunately, after several updates, extension don't sync anymore between different machines, therefore 4 starts.

I absolutely love the simplicity of this extension. Something broke recently though - new tabs are not auto-opening as My Notes. Still have the icon to open but really love the option of the auto-open.

Awesome extension to quickly have everything on the mind to notes. I manage multiple projects, it helps me quickly note down things and that too their specific pages (1,2,3 option). Only thing which I feel could make it even greater is to have todo list with check off option. Rest brilliant extension with really simple design (No distraction).

Brilliant! I work on two PCs side by side, one for writing the other for video editing etc. When I want to include text for a video title that I have on my Office PC I've always made a notepad cut and paste, saved it, copied over the network to the Edit PC root folder. Now this is very nice, when I opened Chrome on the Edit PC it popped up the extension without having to install, with a message saying do you want to keep this behaviour? Of course I said! Thanks.

Simple and elegant solution.

Very useful and fast--I like just opening it with Ctrl+N, Tab into the notes page, jot stuff down and Ctrl+W to close. Using it as a quick todo list reminds me what's next when I open a tab instead of distracting me with my most used websites(!)

Really useful for sudden thoughts that need to go down on the screen. Love the simplicity of the appearance. I wish I could have multiple notes going on at once, but not enough to turn me away.

Looks pretty useful so far! It would be nice if I could toggle between the normal "New Tab" screen and the Notes screen.
