perfect, works fine on the distance learning site I use which uses iframes and obscure the screen estate with unnecessarily large headers and footers. Context menu is on the right mouse button. it would be a nice feature if the extension was able to highlight frames in the document so that you knew where to right click.
The screenshot is insanely outdated, kind of threw me off, but I gave it a try anyway. It doesn't look as bad as in the screenshot, quite good actually! The icon is nicer too.
Appears to have no effect whatsoever on Chrome. Ubuntu Focal.
Installed it. It worked. Thanks a bundle.
Doesn't work for embedded pdf in iframe. As this is the sole use case for me it's pretty useless. Firefox does this by default so I guess I just use that.
It works. The option is there.
Life saving extension, works perfectly! Whatever troubles people were having on 2018 and before are gone, cuz it's working as indented for me.
It works so nice! e.g. https://mixch.tv/live/event/5012 In this page under the date (12.12 Sat - 12.30 Wed), there are 3 columns. The 3rd colume has an inside frame which is too small in size. I can use this extension to right click to open it in 4 different ways. All works perfectly.
As of 2021 worked for me immediately (no reboot needed). Am on 91.0.4472.124 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Works for me as of July 1, 2021. I can see the context menu.
This does not add in Chrome Context menu I just cannot see it
doesnt work whatsoever! tried restarting browser and everything
Doesn't work
Works great!
I like that this extension works for frames and iframes. Despite other reviews claiming that this extension no longer works with recent versions of Chrome, I was just able to use it with no problem. It's now 2019-12-11 at 11:14, using Chrome Version 79.0.3945.79 (Official Build) (64-bit). I've had this extension installed for a couple of years.
Pleased to find that this extension still works (Edge Beta 79). Useful for a rare occasion.
Love it! Allows me to select elements with uBlock Origin inside frames
Does not work. No context menu, even after browser restart.
Works just like the features built into Firefox. After installing the plugin did not work on already opened tabs but if I closed them and then tried in a new tab it worked perfectly. I think this is normal behavior for just about all Chrome extensions though.
I wish more things on the internet used iframes, because this extension is only as useful as iframes is used :(
This just saved my career. I'll be sending a fruit basket in the mail.
Please consider adding keyboard shortcuts to context menu as I would like to be able to right click, then 'h' then 's' or something similar to show this frame only as part of replacing firefox for myself.
missing function that had by Firefox. this fix this issue for Chrome users perfectly. Thank you very much!
It works like a charm! Thank you!
Works great!
Does not work. No context menu link.
Brilliant. Life-saving extension if you're lucky enough to have a high resolution monitor but unlucky enough to have to use Netsuite. However, as of today (20th September 2018) it has disappeared. Right click on the frame and it's no longer there in the menu. Help!
I hated switching frames with the dropdown menu with a passion. Works perfectly and saved me a lot of time
Does exactly as promised. Insanely useful plugin, very recommended!
Key point needed on the Web Store page: Does the browser need to be rebooted in order for the extension to work? Or is this extension dead?
this extension doesn't work
Do not waste your time on this in 2018. The extension does not work, there's nothing in the context menu.
works
Not working anymore, unfortunately.
Great plugin. I use it daily at my job, as most of our web apps use frames. Breaking out of the frames really helps.
Cannot get it to show at all, just a grayed out extension.
Appears to be broken in recent versions of Chrome. Last update was 2014.
Doesn't work. There is no open frame context menu item.
Does not work! I cannot see the open frame item in my context menu.
^^ nice
I couldn't get it to work
It works for many cases, but not all. For example, it has a problem with JSFiddle. If it's asked to open the results frame, instead of using the proper URL of that frame, which is something like: http://fiddle.jshell.net/username/fiddle_id/show/ Instead it opens: http://fiddle.jshell.net/_display/ Which means this extension is making some assumptions about the URL of the frame based on when it was loaded rather than actually inspecting the current page and frame contents to get the correct URL.
Looks like this addon no longer works. I do not see the context link in the menu anymore.
I`m created site for users input web links and watch in slider web sites. Now user can open watched site for add to bookmarks or other. This plugin GOLD for me.
Did exactly what I needed it to, simple and easy.
After some time (after browser restart?) it stops working, need to disable/enable the extension again, useless
Idea is sound. It just no longer works with current Chrome browser.
What i really need is "Reload Frame" not open it in this Tabs or New Tabs. If you add this i give 5 Stars!
Very useful
does not work at all.
This is great for sites like jist.news where the content loads in a stupidly small iframe.
It does not work where needed!
Finally :)))
Love it, adds a very useful feature
Have been using this for a while now. Exactly what I needed to replace functionality that Chrome removed: simple right click context menu to open a frame in a new window or tab.
Does not consistently work.
Works well!
Does exactly what it is supposed to do.
Great. This also has Copy URL!
Just what I needed!!
As advertised works as needed for those site stile using (i)frames.
Works for me!
doesn't work
Works once, then never again.
Fantastic! Could you change the "In a new tab" menu item's behavior to open the new tab next to the current tab? That would be super! Thank you!
broken
Works great! Thanks
Works Great
Great! Very useful
restarted chrome, not sure what i'm doing wrong but can't get the context menu to show
Works precisely as intended.
This app keeps me from having to switch to IE or Firefox when I deal with printing frames. (Which is daily) Major time saver!
Just steal the icon from khagclindddokccfbmfmckaflngbmpon - I want icons on my "installed extensions" page for anything better than a user script... ;-)
