Amazing.
DO NOT EVER CLICK ON THIS SITES: https://foodlicenceonline.com/ It is a fraud website that cheats on the bases of false services. It will not provide any services just make money from people and do as much fraud as they can do. There is no control over them every time they call, will ask for money also communicate abusively. It is a bunch of cheaters making fool to people and minting money. be safe from such cheaters
I saw a lot of comments fighting because the extension doesn't block immediately the website. The purpose is just to report a site that YOU SELF consider it's phishing. If you don't know What is a Phishing maybe this extension is not useful for you.
Worlds most pointless app, I can see this information without the need for this, literally just double click the hot bar and you see the protocol, use CMD prompt and a website for the IP (internal and external), simply use an antivirus with decent rapport for web shielding and decent firewall for most tasks, F12 works for most browsers and lets you see the HTML, java script, CSS, and often even has said referrer chain (the way you got to the sight via redirect or otherwise) and even if none of that existed, There are at least 3 apps that does this apps job and more.
DO NOT EVER CLICK ON ANY OF THESE SITES: benaughty.com - steals your credit card information and shares it with the ones below, also shares your personal information and if you contact them to stop doing it they continue to charge you through other new sites. ulla.com flirt.com [email protected] askonadate.com fndway.com
It's crazy! Constantly wrong detection our PCP site! Nobody can make appointment!
Only got this extension so I can see the protocol in the address bar. Could care less about it but this is the only way to do this now.
I have reported several phishing sites with the extension and its a complete waste of time. Google never flags any of the sites I report. Google simply does not care about security anymore.
Does not have contextual menu to work with links resulted from google search.
okay everyone has no idea how this extension is supposed to work lmao 1. 'not in the top 5k'? that's just a note. it tells you that the site that you are reporting isn't in the top 5k of sites. which leads into 2. do you really think that this is supposed to _tell_ you if a site is suspicious? that's for you to figure out. the whole purpose of this extension is to tell google that a site is suspicious so they can take action. it's not an antivirus or smth. it's a crowd-sourced tool to determine the legitimacy of websites. 3. always show full urls bs. that's just to help you see the site. http vs https, subdomains, etc. it's available through normal chrome too
No point reporting as nobody reviews the site!
everyone should download this extension and report everything for every reason, because if enough of us get on board the AI might get confused :) tell your friends!
I'don't even have a firm opinion, I installed it, could't make it visible and thus it is useless, read reviews, and just decided to get rid of it until it is more useful (reporting reasons/degrees of why/ or just that a legitimate site has been hacked) and that it has more options for how it can be placed on-screen/in-toolbars.
" ?= . "Reported ezgif?com for false information and phishing adds and still remains up... would be good if they followed up with reports on the sites that are paying them... if google is making money it seems to look away like the site is free to do as it wants..
Not working
So google adds an extension that tracks suspicious sites? I wonder if I report google if it will thank me for the 16 tracking adds that i have just by visiting the review page? Stick to Brave Browser and Duck Duck Go.
you should just use Ghostery lol
Fun fact: I took down a phishing site with this!
Identify theft and harmful app
This extension just helps you report the website, but chrome already have site reporter and it is also 100000x better then this. This also glitches my chrome I wish I never downloaded this extension. After all this extension is actually useless. It doesn't report this site, it just copy and paste the URL into the extension and doesn't do anything after that. This is a useless extension. If this extension is really just here to take up some space for your computer well then "Nice Job".
had to install the extension 'cause Chrome team has decided to hide the schema http/http from the URL bar and it became a pain in the (_!_) to copy paste or reuse urls when I do need a part of url. Moreover they had even removed the corresponding flag to opt out of this schitty change.
resource hungry
After installing, and even restarting, the flag icon did not appear in the toolbar to allow me to report a site.
I have no need for this extension. What I do need, is http/https and www showing in my address bar.
good extension? Really loved it
You don't need this extension to unhide full URLs any more. You can go to chrome://flags and enable "Context menu show full URLs", restart Chrome. Then, right-click on the address bar and choose "Always Show Full URLs".
This tool needs a way to report false positives! When chrome says a download is malicious but it isn't!
why do we now require this extension to be able to see the url prefix, which is in your own words one of the best ways to prevent phishing attacks
I use this extention only to show "https://www"
This is a great tool to report phishing websites to Google so they can get a warning in Chrome and prevent people from becoming victims.
Why doesn't it allow the user to copy the Referrer Chain? Why is the only option to send it to Google?
Does what it says -- Helps you report sites that you think are suspicious.
I have to download this extension just to unhide full URL https://www WHY? We should have options to unhide/hide full URL in setting. this nonsense is so infuriating.
Why the hell do I need an extension to show the URL scheme? I need to see them for my job!
Currently, this is literally your ONLY option for re-introducing "https://" and "www" back into your URL's in the Chrome browser (a.k.a. www and protocol elision). See https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=883038
I used this extension to unhide http/https in the URL but it no longer does that.
明明可以显示完整网址,非要加个扩展来实行。
Could do with a little UI overhaul and some more options such as reasoning for when filing a report, a rating for how malicious a site may be when filing a report—and by extension the type of malicious site that it is—and the addition of some options, such as one to disable the 'Site isn't within the top 5,000 of visited sites [globally].' warning; something which would alleviate some of the bad reputation that the extension has garnered.
Instead of offering a setting, a flag or an extension API, the chrome developers decided that it was best to hard-code the id of this extension into Chrome as the only option to display the full URL in the omnibox. This sentence would be very funny, if it wasn't so sad. Laziness is the only reason left not to jump ship to other, actually usable browsers.
Having to install an extension (made by Google) to fix a bug in Chrome that has existed since around 2018 that Google won't fix? You'd think someone was pulling your leg if they told you
It is ridiculous that I need to install this just to see a developer friendly URL in Chrome. Google, fix this.
Extremely, extremely displeased that I must install a program that I will never use to regain "www." and "https://" in my URL bar. Plus, this is called "suspicious site reporter" - surely I should be able to report suspicious sites to Google by default, instead of installing an extension. Very very unhappy. The program itself seems to be fine, though. I will never use it, but it seems to work and be simple to understand.
This is nonesense having to install an extension to Unelide the full URL. Chrome has taken some backward steps in recent months.
Installing an extension just to get the information that should be there by default in every browser (I'm talking about the full URL with http, https, www). Sometimes Google simply goes too far. As for the extension's "real" purpose... where is it? You report that the site is suspicious. That's it? Why is it suspicious, shouldn't it ask at least that much??
Why should I have to install an extension simply to see the subdomain and protocol?
Causes constant micro-stuttering when enabled (every few seconds the tab or window would freeze for a maybe 1/0th of a second) and disabling it completely alleviated the issue. This extension is fundamentally broken.
It uses extra 54 MB of ram on my computer just to unelide the URL that google was trying to hide. It does not work in incognito, and it serves as just another user tracking mechanism being baked into chrome.
It's really dumb that I have to download an extension to unhide the subdomain and http and that there is no chrome flag to do this. It's also really dumb that there was an outcry last time Google hid the subdomain and http, and the change got reverted.... and yet they went through with this change again anyway. This also comes after Google reverted another dumb change no one asked for and no one wanted: removing the "close other tabs" button from the tab right click menu. Seems like Google just wants to kill their browser by making their users angry lol. Unlike other Google products, there ARE actually alternatives to Chrome that are the same or better quality. Honestly the only reason I haven't moved to Firefox is because it would be a pain to sort through my bookmarks and export them.
Only installed this to get the full URL in Omnibox back. Extremely stupid move, Google.
Why do I have to download this extension just to get https://www. back? It makes no sense, just don't remove the flags! Anyway, you can report sites. Cool I guess?
I've been reporting a phishing site hosted by google forms for days, hopefully this will help but I think Google as a company is just really sucking at everything so I'll assume they are to busy to care about crimes being carried out with their services.
Pretty much useless. You can't actually add a reason, you can't lend your weight to how 'suspicious' this is - e.g. appears to be offering dubious vitamin pills all the way up to phishing for bank details / supplying assasination services. Site not in top 5k sites.... erm... what? Ironically that would also include a whole tonne of google properties. Really not fit for purpose sadly. Good idea, great intern project, not a real product though.
only installed so i could get https://www back
Good common-sense reporting tool, but from the ratings here, people obviously don't grok the 5k top sites heuristic and the colored flag (this is a bad UI in my opinion). Chrome already has a built-in detection for sites that are malicious, called Google Safe Browsing, but it's not perfect. This plugin tries to fix the cases where Chrome doesn't detect a site that you know (or suspect) is malicious, and you can report it efficiently in to their system so it will be added. If you look at this extension from the use case of "I landed on a suspicious site and I would like to let Google know about it," then its design makes sense. If you are thinking to report a site that's not in the Top 5k visited sites, it says clearly: Report site to Google What should be considered about this site Site not in top 5k sites To me, I understand this as "Before you report this site, be aware..." If you look at this extension as a diagnostic tool to tell you if a site is safe or not, then yes, it makes no sense to flag anything as orange if it's not in the top 5k. However, as I said before, the tool is a reporting tool, to be used once you already suspect a site that Google didn't already warn you about. It's anecdotal, but I reported a Phishing site using this plugin and it was almost immediately detected by Google Safe Browsing (when I tried to reload the page) and the site itself was down within 15 minutes. It could be a coincidence, since probably others reported it, too.
Like everyone has said. What's the point to just point out the site isn't in the top 5K. They need checkboxes: Phishing, malware, ... I was referred to this plugin from Google after reporting a phishing site...well why isn't that one of the options???????
Install this to unhide/show in url "https://www" in address bar.
I only installed this extension to get the protocol and www/m back...
Continually crashing. Top 5k sites algorithm makes zero sense either. Poor implementation IMHO.
Good start - I wonder is there any future scope to "retrospectively" alert users that a site they have previously been to (and possibly entered credentials into) has since been reported as malicious? Although it is worth noting that with all of banks I use *none* of their Official websites are in the top 5K - Even HSBC one of the World's largest. So this may make it difficult for other users to tell the difference between an Official site and a Phishing site.
We shouldn't have to install something just to view the proper URL in the address bar.
I shouldn't have to install an extension to view the whole address in my address bar. Absolutely ridiculous Google.
Browsers should include features like this by default. Note: In Chrome 76, the browser will hide "https://www." at the front of URLs UNLESS this extension is installed. If this extension is installed, the full URL is always shown. The extension used to show an orange flag for sites not in the top 5k. In the current version, it now renders in grey if that's the only identified issue. It might be nice to have thresholds-- e.g. "Site not in top 5K" vs. "Site not in top 15k" vs. "Site not in top 50k".
When I first downloaded the extension it said the Chrome Web Store was suspicious. Doesn't that seem off? And doesn't the icon on the left end of the search bar do this for you? But also, I wish it would be more reliable and not have the AI say it's suspicious since I didn't visit it in three months or in top 5K websites out of millions that exist. It's disappointing that this would have been so helpful but it's so useless.
Good tool. But cannot undo the Send Report details.
greatly affects the speed of the browser for the worse, so far turned off.
This app is decent - it simplifies reporting sites to Google, capturing the referrer chain is a plus, and it seems light-weight - but it's pointless to pester users about sites that are not in the top 5K of 1.5B existing sites. Adding 3 more zeros should be about right; but popularity is often gamed by the very people we want to avoid, so it isn't much of a trust indicator.
Checking for dodgy URLs is a great idea, as is crowdsourcing. But. Marking a site orange because it's not in the top 5,000 or because I haven't visited recently is utter stupidity. For example, this extension marks ICO (a reputable UK government organisation) orange for both reasons. This is lunacy. I'm uninstalling this extension, because it gives me a false positive for more than 50% of my internet browsing. The idea is fantastic, but the implementation is downright silly.
stars for review access: orange flag does not go away!
Hi, thanks for make it!
I was hoping that we'd be able to comment on activity on the site in question... For example, the one I just cited took me for 450 dollars for a web site that they never built. I think that Comments like that would seriously warn potential viewers and users better than "not in top 5000 sites."
Please remove localhost and url marked with localhost. It is annoying to review phpmyadmin and project site. Make this avalible by default. As well as in mobile phones.
The issue is you have to be on the malicious website to submit it, which mean that your computer have to be exposed to the malicious site to submit it... Being able to to submit a URL without exposing the computer to the malicious website is a must. Being able to submit more then one URL at the time would be great also.
Is it to train the AI ? Might as well add it to Crowdsource
Marking a site as suspicious, just because it is not one of the 5000 top websites is ridiculous, until this is taken out, or until it's possible to disable this as a check, I will be removing this extension
Internet isn't just 5K website. Even big sites like FB can't be safety. So size of website doesn't matter.
Good start. Should be options to configure what is considered suspicious.
If a website not in top 5k it is suspicious? Or haven't visited in the last 3 months it is also suspicious? What can I say - one star rating, because this extension misleading people.
Gives websites a flag based on their "Top 5k sites" rank... If a website is not within the 5k popular websites, it'll be marked orange. What a nonsense.
too simplistic. should probably approach it more like Web of Trust used to do. have evaluations on more than just "this is a malicious site". I realize though we're probably just training Google's AI with this tool.
a good first step in keeping the web safe. Please add some level up features like in games to encourage more reports
Google SafeBrowsing out performs many of the tools I have tested in popular products. It's highly effective and the lead time to classifying sites is fast. Toolbar is v1 released today so it's going to grow with the capabilities. I look for the positives in tools instead of resorting to negativity or being a human 'flaw finder'. Googles effort with these tools will help keep millions of people safe.
