I used to like the ability to just click the extension and I could have the entire page of videos checked as not interested. Having to do it one at a time is painful. Please add the ability to not interested on the entire page. This is a huge downgrade.
I love how quickly I can mark videos! Every work around I've been using has just added the button to the video thumbnail, which while great, is usually very small and takes time to line the cursor up with. I still like using a button as hot-keys are a bit counter intuitive for me, but the added speed and precision is worth it. I'm not able to use the "tell us why" option for some reason, which I like to use for videos I've already seen; so that could be improved among other things people have mentioned.
Another feature I can see massively improving recommendations is being able to hide content from verified channels, this would give you the option to hide content from mainstream news channels that plague search results with repetitive cookie cutter content. If you try to search for any trending news story or major event, independent channels/journalists have no chance of being seen, their videos are always the last to appear regardless of popularity. Raw footage is usually unobtainable, and your news always comes with a grain of bias. No surprise that YouTube scrapped their "broadcast yourself" motto. Simple and brilliant extension, 40-60% of YouTube's recommendations these days seem to be irrelevant/featured content from "trending", topics you show no interest in, videos you've already watched or short lazy meme content to compete with TickTock. The "Not interested" button only hides the video from your home page, it doesn't make any changes to the algorithm and will continue to bombard you will similar content so being able to rapidly hide them with a hotkey is brilliant.
