This might help other using their own web server (e.g. Apache) - make sure you have "image/cpi cpc cpi" in your MIME types config, otherwise the extension won't be triggered. Had me stumped for a while, where the online Cartesian example was working, but my local server refused to play ball! Also, similar issue with local files, even if you've enabled this option in the extension - your system needs to know about the mime type. I resolved this my installing the 'lite' plugin which alters the registry for you. (Writing all this here because I know help is limited online for what is quite a niche product)
