very misleading considering you show a picture here of being able to scan for malware and even having instructions for it on your tutorials on multiple webpages. And yet there is no way to do this. Already canceled

dont install this chrome extension they bombard you with free trial popups and barley do any action to harmful sites.

garbage, way too expesnive "free" trial just takes all of the money off of your credit card. DONT DOWNLOAD IT it removes every single antivirus before you can do anything.

I know that Guardio is focused on protection and safeguarding users from harmful sites but the 4 and 5 reviews and paid sponsorship in youtube videos doesn't exactly sit well with I installed it. There is no mention that only installing this addon is free, rest is paid and the gimmick of 7 days trial is just not possible without giving your credit card or paypal details. At first, I thought it would be install it and use it but it showed me constant blank popups and unless and until I didn't went into addon settings, I was able to see how it works. In short, you need to allow the permissions of Guardio addon to read your browsing history, checks sites you visit and some java changes control, create an account and then allow 7 days thing with credit card then you can use it otherwise it is useless. The info it gets and shows is just facebook but not from Mark. Plus the company is from Israel which is not considered good for privacy. Anyways, it is 2 days and I haven't seen anything spectacular happening with Guardio. I will wait for your dev response and ask why there is no shadow behind the functionality of addon if it is said free and simple. I don't see simple things getting complicated.

i have Guardio on my google chrome laptop & ive only had the free version and it already has warned me every-time if i am trying to go to a website that they dont reccommend & they even give their reasons & facts on why that website isnt safe. I will definitely be buying the premium version! 5 STARS forsure! I do hope you can come out with an Apple&IOS version in Guardio!! Ps. i love the crews that recommended you in their scammer payback videos on youtube!Awesome job! (thats how i found Guardio!)

Besides needing a credit card for the "free trial" and similar complaints I've read in the reviews, I was curious about Guardio (yeah, maybe I'm following so many Youtubers promoting the thing). Besides bogus "harmful sites" (that I haven't visited and most of them with very similar dates), "leaks" in places I don't even remember clicking once in my life, as soon as I uninstalled the extension, the very next day I started receiving a truckload of spam mail. I went from receiving 2 or 3 junk emails per month to receiving at least 10 per day: surveys, insurance companies, you name it. NEVER, in 20+ years of surfing the web I've ever received so much junk mail in one of my accounts. I didn't subscribe to anything new; I didn't do anything else online besides downloading the Guardio extension. I'm not implying anything, just stating that my results in Guardio were not what I expected and that after uninstalling the thing I started receiving a lot of spam mail. The more I unsubscribe from those craps, the more I receive. Great way to waste time every day!

To start off, this Guardio extension is only available on Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (e.g., Edge, Brave, Opera) and at least one WebKit-based browser (Orion) that allows for Chrome extensions. So no option for Safari or Firefox. Also, there doesn’t appear to be any mobile version of Guardio. As for the effectiveness of this extension, I found it to be far superior to Web-of-Trust in catching newer phishing sites. It even caught a few sites that Chrome’s built-in security feature didn’t readily catch. As such, I give it a four-star thumbs up but not five due to the lack of availability on Firefox or Safari and the high subscription price There is a discount for an annual subscription which made it a bit easier to swallow.

It's okay but a there should be a site protection setting part. You should be able to adjust 3 things. Let the site read and design info from other sites of malicious info should be a security setting. Report site and import info. Ratings from other extensions like W.O.T. This extension is really good though.

Guardio is a great anxiety reliever!

I found out about this application thru doing some normal antivirus research and such so I thought I try it out but when I went to sign up and create an account it gives me an error something went wrong please try again later and it wont let me create an account. I've tried multiple times and still the same error, I uninstalled and it recommended I try the free version but it still asks me to create an account and it still wont let me, I even tried signing up with my Google Account and the webpage just sits at "Processing" for the last 15-20min

I have been pleased with Guardio since the day I downloaded it. There were two or three notifications of malicious websites that were immediately taken care of. The peace of mind in knowing that I'm protected made subscribing a no-brainer for me. I would recommend Guardio without reservation.

Clearly did not fix my browser hijacker issue. My chrome still switches to microsoft bing and the extension unlike what it's claimed can't even detect the hijacking let along fixing it. I am not satisfied with it.

app.guardio.io refuses to load and is stuck on a loading image, I have tried multiple browsers and devices. I was unable to cancel my membership as I was not using it and have now been charged for another month that I did not want.

Not gonna lie, If you want a free protection app Guardio is NOT the one! Each time I click something, BOOM! "Would you like premium"? Also, for some reason, there is NO "No thank you" button?! Not using this app. I would love it if they didn't make every single option premium. I do understand the developers need money to improve the app, but GEEZ! At least but in the description "Do not download unless you have money"!

This has saved me so much time and hard work. Until Guardio , I fell for numerous promises to redeem prizes, etc. Now I feel safe. Saved me lots of money.

Heard about your software/extension from a commendation by John Hammond over at YT, the vfact that he voucdhed for your services+ uses them, put my mind at ease about any security problems. I've just signed up for the trial today, and if your tool is as good as people say it is, i will be continiung my subscription. I couldn't help but read a large number of reviews complaining abt the fact that you have a premium subscription, which i cannot fathom the problem with. If a cmpany doesn't make money via subscriptions, they will from data mining and ads. I hav't sen an ad yet, and look foreward to exploring more of guardio

its good at protecting you but i feel it does not do much other then warn you if your not paying them money. It also keeps sending annoying messages if you go on it trying to make you buy the exclusive version however what i disliked like the most was how they put things in red and ! even on its picture and putting it in gray if you dont have the exclusive version and when you check to see if somethings wrong it just says that you didnt buy the exclusive version.

At first I became irritated that I could not enter a site until I remembered that is what it is all about!!

read an article bc i was worried, and it told me to install this extension. so i did! and of course, they have to make money somehow, but not even telling me that this program will shove a paywall in my face directly after the free scan is honestly so disappointing. it wouldve been fine if i was told about the paywall, but i was not and i assumed that this service had a subscription elsewhere, not at the very start. most likely a good service but i simply cant afford it, wish i was told that it wouldve costed money beforehand.

I have only had this service for a couple of months, I am really impressed so far. They have stopped multiple websites visits when I am looking for this or that and happen head onto a bad website. I appreciate the heads up with all the scammers that are operating as openly as they do.

Guardio seems to be protecting my computer, but McAfee keeps popping up and claiming that I have a virus and only they can fix it. Is there some way you can get McAfee to back off? I'd really appreciate it.

I am very pleased with Guardio. I forget I even have it until I select a link that it not safe. Guardio lets me know it is suspicious and gives me a chance to go back before getting infected. Well worth the price.

It puts "Start Free Trial" in your face all the time and the free trial requires credit card information so they can charge you after.

I had an experience with a site that sold shoes. I never thought the sight would contain malware but Guardio caught multiple sites and blocked them. It is well worth the money in my opinion and feel safer knowing I have it.

I thought what I was going to view was going to be informative and the second I clicked on the link instantly Gaurdio blocked the site. How do I delete my account

It has done what its suppose too and kept me out of danger websites. I'm happy with the service and the price is just right.

I put this on my 10 year old son's laptop because I've been looking for an affordable program that was, of course affordable but actually did what it advertised. So far, Gaurdio has been awesome, keeping my son safe from downloading the wrong thing and keeping him out of malicious sites by automatically blocking these sites. So far, Gaurdio combined with our normal child safety settings has been great!!!! Definately a 10 out of 10! Please remember that while these are great defenses for our childrens safety, it is in no way a replacement for a parents best judgement. There is NO BETTER DEFENSE then an active parent. Always watch your children online and physically check what they are doing online. Gaurdio and parental settings are a great help for when you're not there because, let's be honest, we can't be everywhere at once and no one is perfect so when you can't be there, you can count on Gaurdio to be there. THANKS GAURDIO!!!

This extension is so good. It protects me from spam notifications, bad websites, bad extensions, browser/search hijackers, and data breaches. Today it blocked me from accessing a tech support scam! Highly recommended.

Im still scratching my head with questions. 2 actually.......1. You say its free but it brings me directly to payment section when it shouldnt want my card until the last day on the 7th and then we should decide if We the consumer decides wants it , NOT when you do! You wrote in another review its because of fraud and a few other reasons. Fraud? why if its free for 7 days. i think after the 7th day we would khow if we like guardio or not and thats when we use our cc .In my opinion I just think that you know a lot of other consumers forget to cancel the seventh day and our credit cards are on there so you can charge it! We shouldnt Have to put our credit cards in until the 7th day I feel. Number 2 I went on the websit And before you ask for The payment we could try it for a minute . Well you said I have two threats . I have two threats from the past that I already knew about and also one more threat that just happened And you didnt tell me that and its a big one that happened also. Social Security was found on the dark web But when I use your service briefly to check out your company it only brought up a pass from 2020 and 2019 not just happened 2022 Went to Social Security so you didn't catch that I guess that's not part of the free service for the 7 days . So where I see it nothing is free on this website because after the seventh day we're getting charged anyway . Good luck with your company though

I absolutely "LOVE" Guardio ~!!!! It works so fast and seamlessly through whatever I am attempting to do online. I get more than several notifications at one time. This program has urgency built in and you have time to identify and stop the threat once Guardio has announced it. I see it even becoming more advanced to deal with the threats of those who make a living, unfortunately to break the freedom of speech and connections among a diverse group of people. I really get the sense that Guardio is helping to prevent stolen passwords, theft of identity, and possible financial theft.

I don't trust this thing. Why does it need to manage my settings, change my bookmarks, and lots more? I don't trust this with my browser. It even said one of my most trusted security extensions were dangerous. It's too controlling, suspiciously ad inducing, and I'm suspicious of it in general. So, like I said, I don't trust it. Uninstalled.

It would be nice, if you know you didn't have to pay. It's bad enough to freak out over the virus, but it's ridiculous to make you pay for an antivirus protection app. By the time you get the money for it, your computer could be SOL. I mean come on now

it is awesome not the best for opera gx but for chrome it is great i have premium and as soon as i clicked a link to fix an amazon order i didnt even make gaurdio blocked that website keeping me safe and the price for premium is very affordable with a 7 day free trial 100% recommend to anyone looking for safety online

It has been surprisingly simple and often surprises me on things I thought were legit! Now, if only you could stop Ad Block from constant pop up ads! Even when I delete them, they immediately return!

has blocked several problems glad i have it

Bad business practices... Tells me it found risks all the goddamn time, "2 High risk information leaks" (which you can check yourself btw on haveibeenpwned.com), and keeps asking me to start trial to get full protection. Also sends popup in Chrome to "Get started with Gardio for $0 due today". And today, while I was away from my computer, it started performing a 'checkup,' which again brought the "2 High risk information leaks" into focus. Man, I have AdGuard, which works silently in the background, unless a threat is detected. This extension is ridiculous, uninstalled. Nothing free about it, just a non-stop annoyance. The positive reviews are just from paying customers, obviously.

You have to PAY to do anything. I went onto Twitter and it said it was a harmful site?? I dislike this because it's basically trying to get me to pay by scaring me. Its very useless and unless you pay it's not gonna do anything.

I have used computer protective services in the past, but Guardio goes way beyond any of the others. Guardio has stopped harmful sites on numerous occasions, warning me that proceeding my be harmful. I feel confident using the web again.

Guardio has gotten better over the several years I've had it installed on my Chromebook. When I first installed it, it would stop me from visiting completely legit sites: newspapers and legitimate retailers, mostly. It no longer seems to do this, but still flags suspicious sites. Guardio does periodic updates, so I feel secure knowing its threat database is kept up to date.
