UPDATE: After the latest update, it's working fine now. The SignUp team has also addressed syncing issues with the timing, and that's working better now too. The extension is a good idea and works great up until the most important part: the actual ASL captions video. After I've loaded a movie and selected button to load the captions, it enters an endless "loading, please wait" cycle. The ASL captions never actually load, no matter how long you leave it to load. I left it loading for 3 hours, and they never appeared. I'm not sure if it's an incompatibility issue with the latest version of chrome, but it didn't work on Disney+ or Netflix at all, regardless of the movie, and I know it wasn't the streaming service's fault because the movies would load and play perfectly. The ASL captions just never loaded.
I love this app! I am an ASL interpreting student, and this app is great for practicing receptive skills! I can't wait for more movies to be added!
This is been needed for so long for so many reasons! Mariella and SignUp are making childhood rights of passage accessible for Deaf children! Yay for language accessibility!
