work well for 5 years
Works nice and very simple, and most importantly, it DOES NOT require to steal your browser history, not explicitly at least lol my 1 request would be, is being able to lock the chrome with 1 click (without closing the chrome), and instantly locking the chrome if i close it. Meaning, even if i chose 90 mins for lock down, as soon as I close the chrome, it should reset the counter and immediately lock. So far, i set the timer to 1 min, and then exit. EDIT1: upon more inspection, i realized simple "task ending" for the chrome app resets the password all together, and the extension doesnt act until you click on it... :(
The only nice thing about this extension is that you will be prompted to enter a password when launching Chrome. There's no way to instantly lock your browser because the way this extension works is through a timer, similar to setting a sleep timer on a TV. This is only useful as a parental control if you want to restrict your children's browsing time. It would be nice if this extension offered an auto-lock feature, similar to LockPW so that if I were to step away from my computer for a certain period of time, the browser would automatically lock preventing unauthorized access. Yes, I know I can just lock my computer, but having an extra layer of security to lock my browser would be nice as well, which is what I noticed LockPW offers.
