Flat out doesnt work. Nothing happens
This is a very useful extension, but has some issues. A big plus is that the code is very simple: if you unpack the crx, the key js file is only 22 lines. It works fine with chrome 98 as of Feb 2022. However, there are two major problems that I've found: 0) The option could be better explained. When this extension is enabled, bookmarks that you manually add (by clicking the address-bar icon, or typing Ctrl-d) are *always* moved to the top. There is no option to ask for confirmation about this. 1) The "...moved to a different folder" option only applies when bookmarks move from one place to another, and I strongly recommend *not* using it - set it to "never" in the options panel! The idea is simple: when you move a bookmark to a different folder, do you want it inserted at the top or bottom? But, like many things in life, this has unintended consequences. When you move a whole folder of bookmarks to another place, the ordering of the items in the entire folder gets reversed. Much worse, when you start up chrome and it syncs bookmarks that you created on another device, those get moved around, and then chrome may sync these new locations back to the cloud, and then this repeats ad-infinitum. If the option is set to ask, and there are a lot of bookmarks to sync, you'll get asked the "move to top" question over and over. 2) Be sure to disable this extension before using the "import" function of the bookmarks manager. Otherwise all the folders you import will get reversed. This happens independent of the option setting, so disabling the extension is the only way to prevent it. The extension could be fixed to prevent this, an explanation can be found at: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/bookmarks/#event-onImportBegan
Didn't work. First, it got stuck on the options page. Then when I tried to run it, I got a 404 error from Google.
