What’s new in version 1.03?

v1.03 Now splits links at / to allow even larger display

v1.02: Press Ctrl+Shift+V or Cmd+Shift+V (Mac) to instantly show your clipboard.

Ideal for showing short links during a class or presentation. There are many extensions like the bit.ly extension to create a short URL with just one click and copy it to the clipboard. Then click this extension to show the clipboard. Automatically removes http/s prefix from URLs in order to save space since Chrome extension popups are limited to 800x600 pixels (and using the full screen would require the extension for more permissions).

Special thanks to https://stackoverflow.com/users/1793477/sudarshan for his thorough example code on using the clipboard in Chrome extensions as well as communicating between the popup and background windows. Icon made by Freepik from www.flaticon.com. Licensed CC 3.0 BY.

By the way, drfib.me is a Bitly branded short domain, which works with the bit.ly extension using a free account. Good stuff!
