Why? Actually the extension removes (not simply hides!) titles from the bookmarks and stores them in Extension's memory for future restoration. It means that if you use Chrome Sync, bookmarks on your other devices will be affected. If your Chrome crashes for some reason, it's possible that you'll be left without a way to restore bookmark titles. You've been warned ;).
PRO TIP 2: before uninstalling the extension (but why would you?!), use it to show the bookmark titles back. Otherwise the titles will be lost.**

Reviews of just icons:
This extension saves a copy of all bookmark titles to its internal database, it does NOT "hide" anything. It deletes the the titles when you click its icon, and, as long as you have not removed the extension, it replaces the titles from its database. Such a brute force extension. Not the least bit elegant-- I suppose that's not what the dev is going for. To ask the user to remember to do something before removing the extension is not viable, so there's nothing "Pro" about this little app, even if the dev uses that word in the description.
very nice buy I would like the option to not hide the names of bookmarks in folders.
Does what it says it does, but it would be nice if it only hid items on the bookmarks bar instead of all sub folders too.
