The app didn't mention any pricing until after I had completed a form and needed to save it. Especially difficult as it was a form describing my depression to a professional and I wasted time filling it out only to have to redo the entire thing. I wonder how many people start to spiral emotionally after companies use these tactics to sell their product. Sneaky, manipulative, and frankly dangerous. How many victims of suicide had a Form Swift tab open on their Chrome browser? How many patients weren't able to submit forms to a care provider because they were so discouraged by hitting a roadblock like this. If I had known the pricing before I started filling out the form I could have made a rational decision instead of being angry about the bait and switch. Companies don't want to trust a consumer, they'd rather make you feel trapped and forced to purchase their tool. Not cool, and irresponsible.

NOT FREE! Wasted time editing then it wants you to create an account for a free trial and asks for a credit card. How do I delete this ugh

1. Not free, as the other review said (and not only not free, but expensive) 2. I downloaded for one document with the free trial, and you can't even edit the PDF and download it to your computer. It gives you a link to their website, so you can't even use this for anything professional. I never write reviews, but this was genuinely extremely irritating and wasted hours of my time as I filled out legal documents.

Said it was free and it's not. After spending all that time editing an important pdf document it takes you to a page to sign up for a monthly or yearly subscription. Time wasted.

Very Deceiving. Not recommended. Also it's not an actual editor. Tool uses many tricks to make it look like it was edited.

Claims free, allows you to edit PDF but you must purchase a subscription to even download the PDF. So you yes, you can edit your PDF's for free, however you cannot use the edited PDF without paying a subscription fee. This seems like a round about way to mislead customers and get around googles rules. -Misleading -False advertising -underhanded sales methods

This is a useless service. Why present yourself as a "Free" service, when you inevitably charge people to then use the documents they edited? It's toeing the line of false advertising, for sure.

I am so upset with this site. It says Free. I just needed to convert something so I could sign a piece of paper. I know it wasn't free and I had to pay a dollar something a month which is fine with me. But than 96 dollars came out of my account and bounced a bunch of other bills I had an made my account negitive. I have christmas coming up and a mother of 3 children and I don't know what I am going to do now. This put me in such a rough spot this company should be ashamed of themselves. I want out of this contract or whatever I am in. I am reporting to Better Business Bureau as well.

I had a 26 page document I had to fill out. After finishing, I tried to save and hit the paywall. I had to do it with a different program that I already had. This was no better than that program, anyhow. I was looking for something easier.

What they present is false advertising as you are immediately asked to pay for the download of an edited pdf only AFTER you have completed editing it and are ready to have it downloaded. If that isn't bad enough, if you escape from the paywall and go back to the pdf, all of your edits will be erased completely and you will be forced to do it all over again on a different website or pdf editing software. This is a waste of time. Delusional to demand payment for a pdf editing extension. Please do not fall for this. You can use Adobe Acrobat to edit and download your pdfs for free. Absolutely ridiculous and a complete waste of time. Do not put money into the pocket of these lunatics.

Exactly what everyone else said. NOT FREE. After you've already completed your document, they prompt you to enter your credit card information for a free TRIAL. Luckily it is easy to cancel if you do sign up, but portraying it as free is FALSE ADVERTISING.

advertised that it was free, i spent a whole hour filling out a pdf for a doctor's appointment, it took me a long time to be able to sit down and fill this document out, just for it to try and take my card info to let me save it. this should not be an extension, and I wish the creators of this extension the worst, I want them to lose money and struggle until they die just for making this.

Would give it 0 stars if I could. Total false advertising. It's not the free trial that you have to cancel that I'm upset at, nor is it the fact that I can't use paypal/another secure checkout service. No, it's the fact I was mislead. I'd rather print and scan my document.

Was mislead to believe the basic features I wanted to use were free so I made an account. Worked hard to finish some documents just to have to pay to simply save my own document. I reached out to customer "support" to find out why I was being made to give my credit card info and they pretty much said they couldn't help me. I then requested help to delete my account as I couldn't find the feature in the settings and they disconnected the chat. I looked through the help section and there was no info on how to do so. Within an hour I had spam emails from them. DO NOT WASTE YOUT TIME!!

Absolutely horrible do NOT download this. Spent three hours doing homework assignment and after trying to export I realized there was a pay wall. After going back to my document it had removed all of my annotation effectively forcing me to restart my entire assignment. Doesn't help that customer service is only open 5 days a week. Terrible, awful, unintuitive, and a scam.

You will regret after editing a long pdf document just to realize, that you are not allowed to download your edited copy without creating an account and paying a license.

Not a free app - however if you complete a document and share it to a secondary email different to the one you "make an account with", then you're able to do it that way. Just takes way longer.

Gotta jump through some hoops to get it for free. Log out to edit pre-existing text, log in to email it to any email you desire, then go to that email and download it for fee. But in the end it is free and keeps the same font of the pre-existing PDF so its not too bad, but you can just look the website, up the extension is kind of pointless.

I think it's a decent option for those who don't want to pay. Everyone saying they 'have' to pay clearly didn't try pressing all the buttons. You can share it to yourself via another email address, you then click a link to view it and it lets you download from there. Works fine.

TERRIBLE Software - Limited usage. I spent an hour filling out my forms and signing, only to recieve a document error that they were "UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD PDF DOCUMENT". When I chatted with customer service, they told me that the document exceeded the 15 second download rate or the file was "too large". This should be expressly spelled out before people WASTE the time with this cheaply written software. My file update was unretrievable and LOST. DO NOT USE!

NOT FREE, ADS LIE Need a quick editor for one document, this did the trick, then only to find out I needed a payed plan, when all of its ads said free. Yeah, free account, so you can look at all the things you could do if you paid to download. This is horrible and a waste of resources.

It is extremely tedious and awkward to use... why they think you need to have all the choices of formatting each and every keystroke is beyond me... BUT WORST OF ALL is not finding out that you HAVE TO PAY something to use it AFTER the fact.... It is WORSE than the bad free tools...

Absolute garbage trash! I wish i had read the reviews first, as I usually do but was in a hurry to get a single pdf document edited with some blocked out sensitive info. Once saving it prompts you for payment. What the hell right, free trial, so I proceeded to get this file downloaded. Well it never was able to download even after signing up. Error after error after error! Complete waste of time! If I could ban them from the chrome web store I would in a heartbeat! EFF this extension, EFF this company!

First of all, this pdf filler is not free. they say you have to get a free trial and pay for a yearly subscriptioni. when I did get the free trial and tried to export, I could not. when I did find a way to export it, I could not load it when I opened it from my computer. so that's hard work on paperwork down the drain. Do not use this app

As everyone says, it says it's free but then wants to charge you to save it. I even was going to pay, but when I clicked the button to sign up the website just didn't do anything and was unresponsive.. so the PDF I spent an hour working on was lost. Don't waste your time with these clowns.

Super deceptive practices. This tool isnt really free, its free trial, but you have to enter in CC info and sign up for a "free Trial" that will autocharge you if you forget to cancel. AND to top that off, they don't tell you until after you do work on your PDF that you need to sign up for a free trial. Don't waste your time for a subpar app that needs to fall to deceptive means to get users. Not worth installing.

Absolutely Terrible Extension... DO NOT DOWNLOAD!! I have attempted to use this plug-in twice to highlight a PDF, it has lost my work both times. Once you attempt to download your edited PDF document, a paywall appears that requires a payment to access your file. If you choose to go backwards to attempt another way of saving your work, any edits are lost and there is no history available. Such a time waster, an absolute POS extension here, please go use something else and avoid this scam.

Like many others have mentioned it is not actually free and it will not let you save/print/download your filled out document even with the "free" trial AFTER putting in your credit card information. What's even more frustrating is that almost every single link on the page gives you and error code. I cannot even cancel the free trial now and will be calling my bank to alert them that this is a scam.

I was very frustrated to find a service that promoted it self literally as a "PDF Editor Online (Free)" wanted to take my credit card info to start a free TRIAL. FASLE ADVERTISING is not something I will support.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! Spent forever editing my PDF and when I went to download it, I needed to pay for a plan which wasnt indicated when I started. When I did try paying for the app, I couldn't even submit my information as it said the street address was wrong, but it didn't have a spot for a street address and only a zip code which I don't have (only a Canadian Postal Code). When I tried to go back to at least get the information I had entered in, it had deleted everything. Just use adobe acrobat...

After i reached paragraph 3 of the privacy policy i knew this was bad, Information Contained in Documents. Depending on the Documents you upload to or create with our Services, we may collect personal information including, but not limited to, your vehicle registration, names of people you have personal or business relationships with, family members, social security number, passport number, license numbers, items you own or wish to transfer ownership of, financial matters, and personal accounts or account numbers with banks, financial institutions, merchants and vendors. THEY COLLECT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT INFORMATION!!! Also Googles little star things make it look 5 star at a glance but then you look at it and its 1.5 stars a and 3.5 are just a shade lighter in color. That is google being shady over all and this extension openly stating it will collect "accounts or account numbers with banks,". Google should remove this at once!

Advertises that it is free. This is not free. You have to sign up for a subscription and remember to cancel within 30 days, basically a one time use for me. After I filled out my entire pdf I now cannot print or save it to my computer.

The application lets you edit a PDF without the slightest suggestion that you'll ever have to pay a dime. But when you want to save that form, it makes you sign up for a paid subscription. The actual editing software is fine, but I find the monetization scheme to be very deceptive.
