Just what i needed. Very useful.
Works for the posts that loads first. Posts loaded later as you scroll do not get a hide and mute button. Suggestions for improvement: Keyboard shortcuts and option to automatically mute as the bottom of the post scrolls off the top of the page. (Like Google Reader's read feature.)
It works, but it would nice if at some point you made the buttons smaller or just use icons.
