EDIT TO REVIEW ON 2022-12-10: On October 23rd, 2022, I rated the extension as one star with the text at the bottom. Unfortunately, I didn't realize the developer had replied until now. I have once again attempted to use this extension and it seems to work. I admit that its usefulness is more than I thought it would be. I raised my rating from one to three stars. I tried searching for something and not sure I got correct returns. However, I'm going to continue testing as this seems to be an invaluable thing to have available. I promise to come back and update the review with my test results once they are done. ORIGINAL ONE STAR REVIEW FROM 2022-10-23: I use the browser "Brave", which uses Chrome's extensions by default. My issue? Every time I click on the icon for this extension, it requests I login to my Google account. I thought it might be because I was using Brave. So, I tried using this extension on Chrome. Same issue. What is the point of giving this extension permission to access my Google Drive if it asks for this ever time?

I definately like the idea of this extension.... very handy to be able to access gdrive from the browser. Also, and this was the main reason I downloaded this, is about notification.... I can't believe this is not a default feauture on Google Drive. Crazy. Though, I have noticed a problem: I keep getting ask to grant permission to the extension even if it was not revoked. Checked within the account to confirm that the extension has access but still keeps asking... Would be great to fix this. Thank you for the work - I would increase my rating and provide some monetary support after I have further tested the extension and see how well it works.

This addon for Google Drive does everything it claims to do. After a couple of month's use, there's been no surprises or gotchas... very nice! The Developer has the expertise and knowledge across Google Drive / Calendar / Mail to make using these platforms easier though these extensions. He is very responsive to issues and feature requests. Make sure to check out the Mail and Calendar addons!

Excellent. I tried a similar extension first but it automatically refreshed the document list when I opened it so the files would suddenly change just when I went to click on one. This extension has a button so I can refresh if I want - a much better solution!

Excellent extension which makes using my Chomebook much easier. I've used and donated for all 3 of his "Checker Plus" extensions.

No email / sms notifications makes this close to perfect addon useless for me.. Please consider adding this feature. I need to get notifications while I'm not using Chrome too! I will pay if it's a paid only feature.

When opening the site the extension it appears that it do a huge use of my CPU

WONDERFUL extension. I use the other as well (calendar, gmail, etc..) and they make my life so much more organized. Can't wait to see what comes next! Perhaps a Google Pay checker since Android Pay is converting...? :)

Notifications do NOT work at all.

Essential if you use Google Drive (now Backup & Sync, etc). Very simple access to Drive files from within Chrome. Beautiful.

The best extension for gmail that I've found. I liked it so much, I paid for it! The only app I've ever paid for on Chrome. Keep up the great work!

I paid for this about a year ago, the suite of addins continue to be the best and most useful chrome extensions I've ever installed.

Instantly made my life much easier. I particularly like the way any starred items appeared at the top. Excellent!

From last update, I get NO notifications at all. I reinstall, cleared cache, temp files, change settings, revoke access,... nothing. No notifications at all.... :-( Edit: Stil nothing... no notifications...

Already contribute to the full version, however I can't seem to set the notification to my other google account.. Any guidance, please?

well i just downloaded this plus the Gmail and Calendar extentions -- the entire Jason Savard suite. lol. love how this works. I do wish there was multiple account access - but I just shared my other folders with this one account and it works well. so happy to have found it. will be making a contribution because this could be changing my life.

Understanding certain limitations enforced when you program for Chrome and other browsers- You Sir, have done an outstanding job! You deserve (from every single user of your work) at least a small donation (c'mon folks!) for all the time you dedicated to each extension. I want you to know how much I personally appreciate all of your hard work. As soon as my wife returns from Panama, we are going to discuss with the rest of our employees adding your extension(s) and collecting an office / field crew donation. Nice plugins. But I have some troubles finding out how to include or exclude specific folders to receive notifications.

I clicked a shared folder through your extension and instead of opening it was deleted. When looking at recent activity it was said to be removed but the link could not be opened. I opened Drive on my browser and the folder was gone. It also wasn't in the trash. This was a folder of about 50 files used by three departments where I teach. I spent an hour with the IT department and the files where nowhere to be found. Suffices to say this extension has been removed.

Exactly what was missing on Google Drive. Great app!

Jason's extensions are the best of them. Thank you, Jason! Also, noticing that performance has smoothed out in recent updates. Loving it, super usable now.

Fairly decent extension. Definitely better than what Google has yet offered. I would love to be able to access multiple accounts though. I'm currently using about 3 and it would be nice to select between them. Also, I navigated about two levels down in my folders and tried to create a new Doc, but when I checked the location of the new doc, it was in the top level directory "My Drive" and not in the directory that I had navigated to when I created the document. So maybe want to check on that. Overall, I appreciate the hard work and time put into this so far.

Great extensions from a great programmer. The only complaint I have is that it would be helpful to show recent editors of documents right in the extension, so I know who made changes. I feel that it is somewhat neglected compared to Jason's masterpiece, Checker Plus for Gmail. Still, a wonderful extension that ensures that an edit will not go unseen.

Used to be a 5-star killer app. 6.0.3 redesign sort of killed it. It used to be simply designed, simple and quick to use. Now it's unnecessarily bloated (designwise, since the functionality hasn't changed). Totally ignores screen resolution (so the very wide popup is now cut on the left for me). Please opt-out the new design.

Love the redesign. Never took the time before to rate an app but this one makes working with files in my Google Drive so easy. Thanks for the app.

This is a very awesome extension. This is what I was looking for.

This extension successfully sent me an update notification.

This extension just autoinstalled on my chromebook and I have absolutely no idea how.

I always struggled between using Firefox and Chrome for the sole reason that Firefox had extensions that would open up my Google Drive, GMail, and GCalender in a panel and Chrome only had ones that opened them up in a separate tab every time. This solved all of my first world problems, and, in fact, is even better than the Firefox extensions. Thank you so much! It really is an extension I never want to be without!

This is a fantastic enhancement for those who use multiple gmail accounts. His extension works as advertised and it does what it says. I'd rate this 10 Stars if I could.

Was working great until the latest update. Now navigating from one folder to the next is very slow (takes about 10 seconds to change folders).

Just perfect. The only annoying thing is an advertisements :(

Horrible. I can't get any notifications unless I use a window that isn't google chrome.

I didn't get a notification when another account account create a file in a shared folder. Is this supported? I saw it in the list, but no notification. Any way to remove all the notifications already present in the list? it lists all my files currently.

Very useful and simple to use extension. Needs a better and more distinctive icon though than the blue folder.

Nice! I have a proxy limitation to see main google drive folder explorer. It would be nice If this extension includes a google file explorer

Loads a lot faster than Google's version.

This extension works well, allowing you to quickly open or search for documents. I would find it very useful if there were also buttons to create new docs.

Really cool extension, I use it a lot. For future versions, I'd suggest the addition of folders which could be highlighted/ hovered over to see their contents which out then be clickable and also a button to create a new doc/sheets/drawing right from the extension

It's a start but needs a more intuitive interface.

Very helpful. It would be really nice if you could add a folder filter and equivalent of 'mark as read' button.
