Its just great!
Good feeder, bu as I see - any setting out of default is for money.
This is my go-to for RSS feeds, and I loved it up until they reduced the number of feed posts from 100 to 20, which really sucks.
Drastically reduced feed as a free user. In hopes to drum up sales, they have drastically reduced the rss feed from 100 to just 20. They have just lost a user with this action.
Really nice and useful!
I want a feed reader which I can access from both my desktop browser and my phone. I want the browser to provide an easy way to see when there are new articles available, show me the headlines, and allow me to open them. I want the browser to show me when a page has feeds and allow them to be added directly. I want this all in an easily accessible area, not buried behind _any_ sort of menus. I want the Android app to sync with the browser (e.g. when I mark an article as read HERE, it gets updated THERE). I want the Android app to notify me of new posts to my feeds. I don't want anything else. I want a "simple" feed reader that does these things and doesn't try to be more. Feeder is that reader. It doesn't try to do more than just be a feed reader, its browser extension is great, and the Android app works well.
Works as expected. Unobtrusive and accurate
Amazing!
Very good Chrome extension.
Avoid this. Check the Privacy practices tab. Is this spyware?
It used to be great. But the constant nag screen to 'sign in/sign up' and 'upgrade account' is ridiculous. Not to mention the limitations of only 10 feed for the free account and it being super expensive for what you get. Time to find a new feed reader.
Customer support is non-existent, for a quite expensive service it is disappointing
You need an account to do anything, without one it is almost useless.
It does what I really needed! Perfect for me :)
Post limit reached. Your limit is 25 posts, upgrade to get more! This is ridicules for a Feed reader. You have to pay 5Euros/month to get 100Feeds and pay considerably more for complete feed. What a rip-off, no thanks
It is spectacular for managing updates with my software stack changes & upgrades.
Doesn't work unless you give it access to "feeder.co", which means the site can potentially read all your RSS feeds. Pointless if you have private feeds.
Richly featured, but at the same time clear and easy to use
Perfect for what you want it to do. Gets all the updates, makes it easy to get to and manage them. 10/10!
used this for years, though got it on a new computer and it limits me to 10 feeds? ridiculous
The update interval for the free version is 2 hours. 2 hours! You could easily open up a new tab and look up the rss feed manually yourself in that time.
Good
As of 2022/04/04 it was just a shortcut to a website. Not much of an "extension." Uninstalled minutes later.
good
Kinda feels like bloatware, but it works
Excellent!
Nice.
Started locking intervals faster than 2 FREAKING HOURS behind a paywall. So, I use this to be notified of time limited offers on the r/FreeGameFindings subreddit. With intervals of 30, 10, 5, and 1 minute(s) being locked behind a paywall, this makes being notified of these offers redundant and utterly useless. I will be finding a replacement RSS Feed extension soon.
Useful for me to see all the news and podcast episodes in one place. Easy to use.
It does the job, but I get a popup every single time I needed to go into settings about seeing less relevant ads. I'm also struggling to delete feeds. I did a test of a combined feed that is now sending about one update every 15-30 seconds, which means every 15 minutes, I get a flood of popups, with no way to stop them. Unfortunately, this little big means I'll either have to delete the plugin, re-install and hope import works or just find something new.
Randomly stopped refreshing all feeds for weeks. Requires an account to go to settings.
Works great for my needs I use this plugin to track job failures from a continuous integration server so that I can investigate failures without needing to visit each job individually. Works very well for my use. Thanks!
how is there not a tool to search a feed by text? insane
Free, intuitive UI, no ads! and has sound notifications.
It works well when it works, but what is really annoying, and the reason for the low rating, is when you haven't clicked on the icon to display your feeds in a while (i.e., a few hours), the next time you click on it, it doesn't do anything for a good minute. It's like it wasn't clickable. Then after about a minute the menu will open. Very annoying and I will probably look for another.
Really useful application
I love this feeder. It updated in real time.
Excellent service for me.
So far, this works as well as I thought it would. I get up to stories per feed at a time, I can click to remove after I have read it, and or choose to delete them all at one time. Its fairly easy to setup, and I like the feature in entering a website myself. Thank you
It was working beautifully, then apparently it updated, did a weird double refresh thing, then it wouldn't let me go into my configuration, then finally wiped all of my feeds. I can't recommend it anymore.
too many restrictions
It worked wonders for weeks then suddenly stopped updating me. will try a new extension
This has been the most incredible tool for me. It is night and Day compared to those around and they dont come close.. Grab it now!!
Used it for 5 minutes, i already hate it. This is crippleware. Shameful cashgrab.
Why does it keep prompting me to make an account? I don't want an account, nor do I need one. I just want a simple RSS reader. I don't want yet another company to needlessly have my information. The extension works fine but you have to allow it to access your data on ALL sites in order to get to the settings, else it just keeps redirecting to the "create an account/login" page. I only want the extension for one site so have to keep enabling access for ALL sites if I want to access ANY settings, then change access back to just that one site once I change the settings back to what I want. Once you get it set up it does work fine to give me notifications from the feed.
very helpful
it don't integrate with services like feedly and forces a login
a great extension , imo better than any other feeder today
Extension is ok. The paid version is where it's at. But the dashboard needs some work. Viewing articles from certain websites try to make you login and you lose Feeder's keyboard functionality. Other than having to click a few places to get back to keyboard navigation, it's pretty awesome. I'll bump up the stars when that stuff is fixed.
It just works as expected. The newest feeds on the top. Sleek and impressive.
I've been using this for as long as I can remember. Amazing for news sites, youtube subscriptions (now that youtube doesn't email you about uploads from subscribers you really follow with the bell thing).
great app
As a freelancer, this plugin is perfect for me. Now I have potential projects delivered directly to me as soon as they are published so that I can be one of the first to bid on them. That has saved me so much time with not having to constantly trawl through all the adverts on the job sites.
If they refresh in free mood 30Mins per. That used to be great
EDIT: Was 5 Stars before latest Update, now 1, sorry but with only 2h Updates it's useless now B̶e̶s̶t̶ ̶R̶S̶S̶ ̶F̶e̶e̶d̶ ̶R̶e̶a̶d̶e̶r̶ ̶s̶o̶ ̶f̶a̶r̶.̶ Worst RSS Feed Reader so far Notifies me with sound if there are new feeds, lists them in separate pages, supports mark as read etc. in an minimalistic good UI. That's exactly what i need. It also supports many more options in the pro version, but i don't need them, the basic features are largely enough for what i use it. There also was a bug in v7.1.0 (white pages) and the devs was very responsive and quickly fixed it with v7.1.1 which i really appreciated.
This is overall a very useful tool. However, it has developed a somewhat annoying behavior recently whereby, when I click on "Open all unread in feed" or "Open every unread post," it opens all of them but does not mark all of them as read. This seems to occur randomly, but usually around 10 - 20% of opened posts remain marked as unread. This can be fixed by selecting "Reload feeds," but it is still kind of annoying that I should have to do that manually every time. It would be nice if you could fix this. Thanks.
good
Very agressive and confusing pushing of buying into pro
I've recently tried a plethora of RSS readers and have been coming back to feeder.co and their Chrome extension. Two main things: Introduce a Card view, with a customizable amount of rows and thumbnails. Those of us with ultrawide monitors have extra space to use up in our feeder. While the browser may not take up the full width, a 32:9 aspect ratio instead of 16:9 fits a ton more horizontal area for articles. Even Feedly only has a static 3 columns, which leaves another 3 columns of dead space, depending on your browser window size. Adding a Card view with a dynamic number of columns can really make this reader shine. The address bar should show the link to each individual folder or offer the option to get the URL for a specific folder. When using a New Tab redirect script, or setting a home page, the user should be able to link directly to their prioritized folder. Mine is the Local News folder. Right now, the URL to all folders is static: https://feeder.co/reader
I was impressed with this tool until I found I have click links twice to open the linked page. Please change it to a single click.
Really like the app and it’s subfolders. I also like the inbrowser notification and oneclick to get my feed :) The only thing it lacks is an inbrowser feed subscription: Currently we need to open a new tab to subscribe to a new feed.
I like how it works, but I have a major issue with it. This RSS feed reader uses their own servers to store the data from the RSS feeds. This is bad because it causes issues where some feeds are behind and some feeds never get updated.
There are free alternatives out there that's doing most of your needs. This almost looked like a scam.
This is not user friendly, they haven't consider about UX or UI, very confusing. It doesn't work on all feeds. Only on specific feeds. I tried with Upwork and it only shows 'All Works' instead of selected feed. This extension is useful only if you have money to spend (As I believe). Don't use it if you don't have money and time to try. I can't believe how they get such misleading ratings. This deserve minus ratings!!!
I can't speak highly enough about this extension. I downloaded it exclusively to use with Gengo, so I would be instantly notified when translation jobs are posted, since Gengo uses a first-come, first-served system for picking up jobs. Let me just say - this extension is a game changer. With the Gengo add-on, I get updates every 5 seconds which means I learn about jobs quicker than most translators and can pick them up right away. I paid for a year subscription of Feeder with the Gengo add-on, and I made my money back in translating jobs in less than a day. A little over a week after installing, and I made $500 more than I would have without it. If you use Gengo and aren't sure about paying for an RSS feed reader like this, take my advice - it is so worth it, and this is the best one! My only regret is not installing this sooner. It literally pays for itself for Gengo translators. Total game-changer. I would give more stars if I could. Thank you, Feeder!!
Great extension!
Won't update my subscriptions.
Useless since the last update Since the last update, it's not even showing the pane when clicking, nothing responds... Clicking on Options shows a loading screen and nothing loads.
I often use this extension, but there are definitely some bugs with it right now. I cannot remove an old feed that has stopped updating, and I suspect that it cannot be removed short of uninstalling/reinstalling this extension. Definite problem.
Just great!
Great extension! I am very thankful to the developer for thinking of so many options and customization. Very useful features too. One thing I would like is a way to customize the sound that is played.
Unable to delete feed. Not receiving any notifications.
Basic RSS feed are good but when add youtube RSS feed than it doesn't work and there is no option to open in new browser tab. Hope it can be fixed!
Have to pay to get PRO to do ANYTHING. Can't use it without a paid subscription apparently. But seems like an awesome tool.
I'm a paid subscriber. The feeds work very inconsistently and the filters don't work at all except in the Preview panel. Incredibly disappointing. I will be cancelling and looking for another product if the developer can't resolve these issues.
Added to Chrome, input feeds, WTH they don't update automatically? Nope that is part of the paid version. I found no use for this trash.. uninstalled.
I love it for watching my favorite blogs, and the desktop notifications are great so I never miss the subtle icon in the Extensions tray.
It was use to be a great tool, but i dont know what happen, after installing, cant able to go to settings to view the rss i have added! i have added and deleted multiple times, but no good results.
2 hours to update???? totally worthless -
Really nice. I can't see a way to pin a feed to the extension icon, so that if I click the icon I get the feed content without having to select the feed itself from a list. I mostly check one feed and rarely need another.
pleased
Unable to view the main page with the feeds I'd added. Options just wants me to log into an account. Can't figure how to view the full dashboard again. Keeps prompting me to log in, even though I did not log in initially. Waste of time.
برنامه خوبی هستبرای اضافه کردن فید خوان به گوگل کروووم!!!
working as expected,
App doesn't let you log in with Google, so if you created your account by signing in with google, too bad. Website didn't let me delete a feed after I added it (error message). Website didn't let me delete my account (error message). Maybe they've stopped trying to maintain this app.
It takes forever to refresh feed. I have set it to 1 minute interval but I will see the notification like 10-15 later always. It's not the feed fault. Feed is updates immediately. I can verified it myself. It's the extension which always forgets to refresh the feed.
Taking to long to dropdown the menu, very disappointing and frustrating to see our feeds.
Useless without paying, an RSS feed that sends notifications only every TWO HOURS it's worthless. And it does not give the possibility to try for free for a month.
I like the extension since it solves my basic use-case,- be notified about updates on blogs. It is great to know that there are lots of other features but I'm totally satisfied with the one I've been using so far.
Basically forces you to upgrade, very little functionality in the basic version.
You need to pay for dark mode? In 2020? Nope. Goodbye.
It would be nice if the extension offered a sidebar in which to view the latest items from the RSS feeds as they are published.
Why I can not see the content of my collections on my 2 android devices but I see them on my desktop?
I use it to keep with software updates for things like Citrix products and other enterprise software we have to keep up with. Works like a charm!
Hmm...$6 A MONTH for an RSS feed reader? And updates to a *feed* in the free version are only every 2 hours? Not sure why anyone pay a monthly fee for you to extend a standard protocol to a browser extension. And why the developer would think 2 hour updates are useful to anyone who needs to subscribe to an RSS feed? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Hope other people realize there are plenty of other tools to use here. This is not a service, it should not be billed monthly. Just find another tool to manage your rss feeds. Don't get suckered.
good apps
Bad, the notifications show up like 2 hours after the posting..
Lowest update time for free users is 2 hours?? Useless. I wanted 30 min but 2 hours is a lot.
Works very well for my purposes
Works fine for me.
loved it, very useful plugin
This app is very much Ronseal, it does what it says it does, I, have no terms of reference to compare it to other products. I find it a little clunky and dark, maybe some aesthetic tweaks or allow usersthe ability to cusomise #nitpicking
Waiting 2 Hours to get updated from the feeds, really? It surely is a nice extension but the pricing for the premium add-on isn't apt. ?
Items in feeds were marked as read even when I had not marked them as read.
Update times were very unreliable and now out of nowhere despite listing no cost anywhere on the chrome webstore it is saying that my trial is over and that I must pay to continue use and offers no free options. No thanks I will find something else that is transparent and actually works.
If frequent updates are even the slightest bit important to you, you'll need to look elsewhere. They recently locked their fastest update intervals to the paid version. The fastest update interval option on a basic account now is a whopping 2 hours. I looked into purchasing the paid version because I really like everything else this extension does, but to my disappointment they joined the disgusting trend of subscription only payments. $5 a month (IF you buy a full year's worth, otherwise its $6) is ludicrously overpriced in a market that has so many free alternatives. It still has good qualities. The UI is nice, even if it took a bit to get used to. Desktop notifications are a nice option, at least until they throw that behind a paywall as well. In the end though: frequent updates are what I value most and Feeder no longer fulfills that necessity.
