it was good, but youtube changed stuff and now the search ui isnt showing up so its useless

This is a MUST HAVE extension! I absolutely love it & use it all the time. But I do wish I was able to sort the search results.

It even shows shadow banned/hidden comments! I wish I had this years ago. Great extension. Easy 5 stars. ^^

Does what it should but is incapable of assisting replies, to reply to to a video you must click on the date, have a new tab open up, wait for the page to load (killer on bad devices), then get an annoying audioblast you've likely already listened too, and then reply from the default youtube comment section. This would be so much more useful if you could comment directly.

Pretty nice extension. My one gripe so far is that it doesn't give you time stamps for the chat replay, only the real world time of when the message was posted. Would be nice if it could show the time in the premiere/stream they were posted.

Really good other then not being able to search all replies and comments (although I may be missing something), otherwise great extension

Really like this extension but quite frequently the buttons don't work on the load, view or save options. The buttons are there but when I highlight over them, there's no clickable option. Any ideas how to fix?

Its really useful Although it seems to stop working randomly, only searches through transcripts (Filter is enabled for comments)

This is amazing purely for the fact you can load all comments within a reply without needing to press that "Load more" button 20 times (simply search for the comment/commenter and press the plus next to their name).

It is extremely useful and I love this addon. It would be nice to have an option to sort search results.

It's great, so nice to search youtube comments. The only thing is that you can't click on a comment and then like it or respond to it. You have to note the date the comments was added and then manually scroll down to find it to like or comment back. Unless I'm not seeing how to do it. If it has that functionality it would be nice if it was more obvious on how to do it. Thanks for making this extension in any case.

why the comments appear black in youtube dark theme, it was working ok yesterday(25/8) on dark theme

It's a great extention, but the dark mode scheme is broken. The text is unreadable now unless I highlight it. It worked fine up until now, so I hope this gets fixed soon so I can go back to using it.

The color scheme is all messed up in Dark Mode suddenly. This is consistent across all my chromium browsers, including Chrome, Brave & Vivaldi. Please fix!

What happened??? Everything was perfect but now text is broken on dark theme. The layout is backwards text is black you can't see anything and the border outline is white. it's un-usable now. PLEASE FIX!

i was debating someone in the comment section (like ya do) and remembered scrolling past a link to a video that would help prove my point in an earlier comment. For the life of me, i tried to find it based on memory and with Ctrl+F for hours till i found this Extension! it completely ignores the text from the suggested videos on the right side of the screen, you dont have to manually click "view more replies" on every comment and there's a ton of options more for narrowing down your search! It's stupidly helpful! I love it.. and now.... IM UNSTOPPABLE.

Is there a way to exclude certain phrases instead of searching for them? Thank you anyway for this wonderful extension!

Really useful, however it would be nice to be able to reply to a comment you searched for. Maybe just send me to it when I click on it or something. Would make this extension literally perfect.

i love this extension! ive been using it for a long time and it's amazing, very useful! i know this sounds like i'm being paid to right this review but i swear this is genuine and this extension is amazing.

I love this extension and cannot live without it, because i always use it. I also love the button to filter/sort comment, especially that you can choose to descend or ascend it. Btw can you add a shortcut to go to the search section to search the comment(because I am just to lazy to use my mouse:P) Edit: Just realize you could do it with "Alt+`". But can we be able to change the shortcut? or sometimes made it only focused to the search field instead also change the video to PiP mode when it pressed? I just wanted to focused to the search field actually lol, and never really watch while seeing comment Btw can this work on post too? I mean.. not just on video..? sometimes I wanted to search comment on community post too Edit2: Ayy, I love the new update for "Extended Search". It similar from what I suggest! Although it works properly, the Github page it links doesnt contain any javascript code. Hence, I assume that it is not Open-source. I fear it may be running some fishy code behind, hence disliked it.

Really good overall, but when you click "donated", it doesn't come up with the super thanks comments. (or at least I haven't stumbled upon it yet) Other then that, really good extension, would recommend if you have a hard time searching comments (or just anything, to be honest)

When saving the comments to a file, please include the "Thanks (heart$)" info. thx so much.

Please give an option to see comments that got heart from creator and you should also try to improve UI also and the extension is very amazing

Features are good, though it would be better if I didn't have to wait for comments to load.

Try it there's nothing like it available on chrome store. it made my learning process much easier. way better than scrolling & waiting for youtube to load all those comments. now I can easily search and get what I want much faster than ever before. seriously Just try it! As for the developer is there is anyway to extract comments and present them as comment tree just like reddit comment structure! I feel like that's very easy way to see who's replying to whom as of right now if there are too many comments it's hard to eyeball which comment is replying to whom!

All implemented features work perfectly. It would be nice to be able to go to those comments. Or to have a working like/dislike/comment button directly in the results box

YCS is the best so far, but thumb buttons next to comments would be better, it's impossible to locate the comments once found

without this I would probably no longer use youtube as it screws with my mind pushing whatever comments it wants and no way to see the actual top comments

Absolute Life saver ! I watch a lot of science podcasts and it just makes it so easy to find out the important info. u were looking for apart from searching important comments. I wish i cud give it 10 stars. Also i can now download video transcripts with1 click.

This might just be my favorite extension although I just wished the UI was a litle better The one (major) problem for me is that the extension Options just won't save!! (I want the comments to load up automatically and I'm not able to do so)

This useful functionality should be available for all youtube users. Love the extension, but you should make the source code available on your github page or another repository service. Yes, I'm aware that anybody can find the code of the extension on their file explorer, but still.

Useful extension, it does the job well. It would be perfect if you can search all comments on all videos of a whole channel, but I tried the global: search term query and it did not work. Seems to only work on a single video not all videos on a channel. Eugene Gubar, if you are reading this, please make it so that the plugin/extension can search comments for ALL videos on a given Channel, not just one video at a time.

This is exactly what I've always wished for on YouTube. I read comments a lot, and on videos where there are over 100 comments, it can be a real pain to find what I'm looking for, like on tutorial videos where it's nice to find more info via comments. I tested it out on a video with 2282 comments and it scanned through all of them the moment I loaded the page, and once they were all scanned through it made searching for keywords incredibly easy. Awesome work, I hope this continues to work forever. If it's still working for me in a few months and I'm still loving it, I'll send you a donation as a way of saying "thanks". :)

Works perfect. Had this extension for a few months now and I can no longer imagine Youtube without it. Easily search through the comment section and easily interact with the comment. Does exactly what is says it does efficiently. So nice to be able to find a comment I wanna like or reply to instantly without scrolling through thousands of comments anymore. Awesome extension. 5 stars deserved.

I love this extension. It does exactly what it says it will and it works well, I use it often! If you're loading over 10K comments it might take a little time to load them all, but I expect as such. I have experienced some comment sections where it freezes, but I've still been able to find what I'm looking for. I highly recommend it if you want an easy way to search through comment sections on YouTube! Thank you for creating this!

The search bit works but the plugin cannot seem to load more than about 7,500 of 15,000 comments in a particular video. Also, it would be nice if I could filter by date or author. Also, while it can find a single comment containing a search term, it cannot take me to that comment in situ so I cannot reply or see the comment in context of the thread.

June 2021 Nice extension. But I would like to see ALL comments AND Replies without to do that manually. Your extension save "just" comments without Repiies. If you don't need Replies and just comments this extension is perfect for you.

seems to work quite well... it can almost completely replace my use of the Hadzy comment search site protip - to find comments with timestamps, search for ':' (colon)

This is a great extension. Before I had to waste so much time to locate my comments within a Youtube video by scrolling, and if there's 10,000 comments I was screwed. Not only can you find your own comments, but you can find a list of anyone's comments. The only issue I have is that I haven't yet figured out how to click on a comment and be directed to it. If I could do that this extension would be the best one I have ever used.

The only suggestion I have, is to be able to reply directly to a searched comment

Literally does not work. I tried even typing a word that appears in the top comment of a video and searching and it says no comments found. Have never been able to get it to return a single search result.

Completely amazing extension. Not only can you search for all comments, you can now search the video's transcript, find the location you were looking for and jump right to it with a link! This is extension is a lifesaver!

is there no "go to" option? i found the comment i was looking for but i want to see the whole comment/replies of that comment. this would be a 5 start if it had that optoin

a bit slow

It doesn't show search box when link with time code. So link should be w/o time and it's works.

Please add a download button to save all (or a selected number) of comments (including answers) from the video as plain text TXT (possibly other formats too) sorted by date.

It works well but it only load half of the comments
