This is the first AI application that sold me on the value of AI for day to day productivity. By integrating into your daily writing tools, you can become a great writer over night without having to change how you work and you don't have to become an expert in writing chat prompts. As an Instructor for a local Community College in Toronto, I have been checking out AI programs that would be of assistance to my students. Without mentioning any other names, Sapling seems to be the best of the lot. It is at the top of my list. Yes; I did try out the most popular one; the one you see advertised on TV and the Internet all the time. However, Sapling is more user friendly and seamless in putting forward editing suggestions. Plus, the option of a "free trial period" is a BIG bonus. Many of the other vendors do not offer this "free trial option." In sum, when the next semester begins in May 2023, for my students, I will strongly recommend choosing Sapling over one of the competitors. This is a GREAT program for any student or professional needing assistance with proofreading and/or editing...

Sapling is very well designed writing tool that can eliminate misspelled words and grammar mistakes. I have found it to be much more accurate than Grammarly or ProWritingAid. It also has a very well designed plugin for Microsoft Outlook even on a Mac computer which is hard to find anywhere else. The tech support is excellent and comes from the owner himself with fast response times. I could not ask for anything better. Try it out and see for yourself!

Everyday, we appreciate using Sapling.ai tools. The snippets feature is the most awesome tool, we use it many times each day to save time copy/pasting. Check it out.

literally one of the best extensions that i have ever used

The extension did help me a lot with the grammar and I liked the functionality too. However, there are a few bugs where it tries to correct the spelling of a word from the middle and this happens when we check spelling/grammar after an edit is made using Sapling which is weird.

I really enjoy using the site as its the best and rely on grammar to advise me where I am going wrong. thank you so much. Beverley

Love Sapling!!! Tremendous product and time-saver for people like me who have poor typing and spelling skills. Great resource and I can't imagine not having Sapling to asisst me.

It's not working in Google Docs at all! I made a spelling error and it didn't suggest anything. I checked my essay and noticed it. Won't let me sign in, tried multiple times. Works decently in other apps so this is a 3 star app.

good but no longer free :(

It is alright, but I am having problems while using it on Google chrome. For unknown reasons, it keep on crashing. It suddenly stop working and says an error has occurred. Is there a way to fix this?

Really like it but have two bits of feedback - Would like the potential to move the red dot from the bottom right corner to somewhere else. Some text boxes can only be made bigger in bottom right corner which makes life hard when the Sapling circle sits on top of the extender! - More than anything, would absolutely love the ability for it to autocorrect my spelling to the suggestion provided!!!! Extension works perfectly as described though

Really nice, but ridiculously expensive for the pro version at $25. a month X 12 months = $300. a year. Seriously; what are they thinking? Talk about dramatically limited your user base! Also, the free version is extremely annoying to use since the popup is always displaying things that are only in the expensive version and so constituents a frequently and distracting nag!

Pathetic experience. I came specially to write this review just because of one thing. If you are not their paid user than they outline your incorrect text, saying that his can also be corrected for paid user, and then there is an option to ignore it, that ignore button in their tool does not work properly, it never word properly, and it is kind of frustrated. They have purposely made it like that ignore button under and dump yellow line don't go.

Sapling has been a low effort way to ensure my emails are high quality. I don't worry about proof reading anymore because I've come to expect a nice little suggestion to pop up. I've gotten to learn a few things about proper grammar as I use it more.

I am sorry to say you that after my enquary why all of you ask details for other emplyee for ESI now . This facilatied by our organagation for our employee , if any inscidend happend with our employee what answare i will given to my calleauge about this facilites .

It works very well and can catch most of my spelling errors.

It's quite interesting

It's pretty great at detecting grammatical errors. Most other extensions detect 1 or 2 out of six of the errors in my sample. This extension told me about 5/6 of the mistakes.

It wont work at all. or I do not know what I am doing. I even put it on chrome and to the doc add on neither one will work i verified my email and anything can some one help me?

Sapling is one of the best Grammar checkers in the market. I have been using the free version for one year. I'm going to upgrade to pro now.

By far the best grammar checker in the market. Directly competes with the premium versions of Grammarly and Ginger and is better depite it being free. Just love the extension and hope you can add free support for more websites.

EDIT: Crio is now 'Sapling'. As was almost inevitably going to happen, a free start-up product has now become a two-tiered 'free but hobbled' and 'fully featured but eye-wateringly expensive' subscription. As I write this, the free subscription is OK and still worth having, but the finer points of grammar are held behind a paywall in the style of a yellow squiggly line and 'only available in Sapling Pro'. Fair enough. We've all got to eat. But $25 a month? Still, the free offering will pick up most of your simple mistakes and it's still worth having there in the background. No reason to change the star rating as something is better than nothing. _______________________________________________ First review: Great start. I get this is a brand new thing and will perhaps be a little rough around the edges. But for now, I think it's great and has helped me a lot when writing. Most spell checkers are great, but they can't tell when you've used the correct spelling of a wrong (in context) word. This is where Crio and its AI comes in. And the best part is, Crio can only really get better as it's developed. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all turns out and will watch with interest.

I used this on Docs and found it much more useful than Grammarly! I'm still using Grammarly, but I just might switch.

Edit: Whoa, guys! You actually rebranded into Sapling and want much more than a grammar correction/language improvement AI! You should have told me about it... I'm happy if I could help you in some ways. You don't really want to compete with Google's Assistant or Siri, do you guys? Because that would be crazy and I wouldn't see a chance for you to be relevant in that field at least for the next 10 years. Since the last review entry from me things have improved enormously! Thanks for that, guys! :) Okay, this app is like magic! ✨?? I really love the corrections, that it's all for "free", no ads, no compromises on features and it works so so well! I cannot describe just how happy I am to have found this extension! What I really miss, though, is support for my mother tongue German. I am deeply impressed by this extension and would consider buying a paid version of it for an affordable monthly fee (something like 5 Euro/month) as soon as German support got added!

Using OrchardCMS admin pages to edit the pages, and this extension doesn't catch anything. Instead it only opens a text box from the extension to copy and paste and displays "Sapling is currently not available on this site.". It's easy to forget to do copy and paste text all the time, so not acceptable for what I am expecting (to edit in-line).

Over all, I like the way it works. Available on the web is nice as well. Two errors: It's suggestion for replacing don't was to remove it. No additional suggestion. It should have recommended do not. It wanted me to change any to no, which made my answer incorrect. Also, there is no way on the site to send what I found, only through this review. You responded to the complaints in the reviews so how about letting us send you things we think are wrong or possible alternatives right from the form?

I am a sports writer and I have used Crio for the past month. It has helped catch the grammar mistakes that I wouldn't typically notice. I think this a great product for anyone in my career field or just simply typing up an email.

Overall it's working the way it should be, what I really love about this extension is, it provides suggestions and alternative word/phrases for any grammar error. I've used different grammar correction extensions previously, but they only highlight errors in the sentence without any suggestions. With English being my second language, this has been a great help for my social media work.

After I installed Crio, it never gives directions where to have your writing checked. It would be a lot easier if there was an area to have your writing checked. Will change the rating if this is fixed
