Not work on linux... "Unable to log in due to network issues"

Works mostly - Cannot send images. For the last few months no image will send. it just fails immediately.

Never ending cycle of verification codes, attempts to login with QR code, etc, etc. Useless.

Okay yeah this is terrible. Every time you close the window it requires you to re-sign in with a QR code. This gets an F for usability.

Was working fine before, but now has completely stopped working. No way to login at all.

Won't even allow me to log in. Enter valid email (validated in the app) with a good password: no feedback or reply on this extension. I enter a bad password or fictional email, same behavior. QR code option grayed out. Logging in via phone number disabled.

Many features are missing from native applications. Please at least include below items. 1. Mentioning using @ 2. Reply to a specific message 3. Lite and dark theme

It's nice, that I can access it through my chromebook. That's all.

I am a Linux user who wants to use LINE as I used to do in Windows. So, I came here for a solution. However, it worked worse than I had expected... It can't even update the messages on its own or get the image sent 2 days ago... Very frustrated. Please make LINE work on Linux systems! Or, as an alternative, improve this extension!

I have a Chromebook and downloaded Line for Chrome. I cannot figure out how to open it though as it does not appear anywhere on my screen or in my Google aps list. When I inter Line.com, it just sends me a message 'remove'. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know why, but my chrome line got very slow, i can't even click something, to much lag....

I can't believe a huge company like NEVER wouldn't have enough money to make a proper app for their services. This app lacks many features that are presenting on the mobile and Windows version. Please, improve on this.

The fact that it logs me out EVERY TIME, makes this the most annoying app for me really...

Has not worked since January. I keep getting an error message when I open it "An error has occurred" and it won't allow me to login. Was ok for what I needed it to do, but it doesn't work at all now.

Needs to be on the same version as the actual browser version, or the mobile app. It's inconvienent that I can't see when I'm replied to or can't reply to people at all. Should have dark mode and custom background, and different font choices as well. Other than that, it does what it needs to do. It's the bare minimum. I'm using this as a high school student whose school blocked line.me or whatever it's called.

This app used to work great and would keep me logged in for at least 2-3 months. Now it doesn't keep me logged in for longer than a day or two before asking for a code again. It seems to occur whenever I wake up my laptop from sleep mode, it'll glitch out and then suddenly say it needs a code to continue using it. I've been using this extension for years, it just started acting bad in recent times.

It freezes whenever I open it (loading messages stays at 15%) and the app stays unresponsive. I've left it for hours but it's still at 15%. Summary: It crashes when you have thousands of unread messages. This is disappointing because on my phone it never crashes even when I reinstall the app after 3 months of not using it.

After upgrade Chrome to 94.0.4606.81 (Official Build) (64-bit), Screenshot copy/paste(Ctrl + V) from clipboard always fail, but text copy/paste was works.

Messages are not loaded and sync compared to phones.

Allows chat, but missing so, so many features from the phone version. Albums, replying, emoji previews, voice calls, video calls... it's almost not even worth it to have the desktop version if you have your smartphone.

I want to backup my chat data from this extension because I find it still keep all my previous chat data. Is it possible that I can save chat data to text file? Any suggestion will be appreciated. Just to clarify, google says that I hate this extension, I don't hate it, I just think it is not useful at all, It literally can't be used because it is not possible to create an account.

It has only vary basic functionality, but that is to be expected and it's still a valuable extension. HOWEVER, the problem in my case (chromium and line extension v 2.4.5) is that it struggles with synchronizing the messages. Lately it's constantly stuck at "17% syncing" and there is no way to move it from there. Not very useful with this bug.

You literally cannot sign up for this app unless you also have it on your phone. Worthless.

Figuring out how to open it after you've installed it is really hard. I've done it once and now I can't find where to open it. Very frustrating.

Repeatedly crashed Chrome by closing all Chrome windows, even when running on a good machine. And it has never been fixed. I don't know why this problem never detected by their testers or marked as acceptable by the project manager lol.

Very lite version of LINE. As others have pointed out, no calls, no mentions, no sticker suggestion, no auto login. But for me, the most important part missing is the DARK MODE ._.

OpenChat should be added ASAP. I can only receive OpenChat messages from Mobile and PC line Clients ,but not chrome clients.

No night mode, spell check is useless (how are you going to tell me a word is misspelled and then when I right click it, not allow me to fix it!? right clicking does nothing). This addon looks like it was made in 1995.

Missing OpenChat groups - they do not show in the LINE PC (chrome extension) version. Please add. Various other bugs, including (1) cannot login without uninstall/reinstall, (2) missing chat functionality that is available in LINE Android, i.e. (i) different video preview appearance, (ii) text formatting/font/fontsize, (iii) missing in chat features (polls,events,etc).

I liked it, but the one thing that I don't like is that I can't log in with phone number, it says only log in with phone number who signed up with pc version

I occasionally use LINE on Linux. Since there is no linux installer, so i get the web extension one. Unfortunately the web version is lack of feature compared to the PC version (most important is reply message feature, and group notes). It would be great if the feature also come in the web version. Thank you.

LINE is the worst messaging app. I can't stand how my guildmates won't switch to discord. The only thing LINE has that discord doesn't have is an obtrusive paywall. The worst part of LINE is trying to log in on PC. It's incredibly annoying and unreliable. Why would I want to peck at a touchscreen like a schizophrenic chicken when I can massage a keyboard like a dapper octopus? I just can't tolerate it anymore. I'm switching my guild to discord whether they like it or not.

Absolutely garbage, wont let me login saying poor connection and tell me to check my connection when it clearly is working as i am able to open youtube and google without any problem. so i tried to login again and it continues to say that there is a poor connection from my end. both the google chrome extension and the windows app for line is absolutely garbage

In English lines in chat break at any letter which makes text hard to read. It happens because of the following role that probably makes sense only in Korean or similar language. .MdRGT07Cont .mdRGT07MsgText { ... word-break: break-all; ... } For English I think it should be `word-break: break-word;` or just removed.

A lot of missing features that is available on the desktop version. People that use Chrome OS / Linux is simply forced to switch from LINE to something else.

I don't see why this should be an extension and not an app. It would be a lot more convenient for chromebook users and probably other OSes as well. I don't like it having to take up an extension slot. For now I'm going to keep using line lite on my chromebook

It does not show the full chat history. I'm trying to scroll up past a couple of months back and I can't... even though the history is present on my Android app version.

Anyone else have an issue with the text? It'll separate a word in the middle or leave the last letter at the end of the text box and move it onto the next like. Example...You'll be talking to yo ur friends and it will just randomly decide to stop mid w ord. SO annoying!

Doesn't work. I cannot get it to verify with my number. I have had the same problems on the mobile version too. LINE sucks! Don't get the app or this extension.

This is not compatible with the newest updated OS system for Chrome. It was working wonderfully until Chrome OS got updated and now it's no longer compatible and won't allow me to sign in, saying that it has "network issues".

when it even shows up as an available extension, it opens, logs in, but immediately is unusable! it doesn't open chats, it basically waits until chrome decides it is lingering and crashes. horrible extension, please just make a web-based chat like EVERY OTHER chat app does (whatsapp, wechat, fb messenger...) hell even okcupid is better than this and that's pathetic!!!

Couldn't even get in because it needs to have a phone number. Helloooo, some of us don't have a phone. Maybe think ahead to users that download this add-on BECAUSE they don't have a phone number?
