Hello, I just want to thank the person who made this. I was thinking just now how useful an extension like that could be, searched it up and here it is, so thank you!

SIMPLE AND EFFECTIVE. JUST WHAT I NEEDED

I really like the idea of this extension. The only problem that I am facing right now is that, it is not syncing with Google Drive. I would request the developers to please fix this issue.

I really like it, thank you for making this extension. I would suggest one important feature to add - once I get to particular page, it would display the note automatically (either for limited amount of time or till I close it manually), ideally this should be configurable. Otherwise it works exactly as I hoped for!

Amazing. The only feature that this is missing is the ability to have the choice of making the note "pop up" if there is 1 in the website. I want the note to pop up when there is 1 in a specific URL, not having to click on it to see the note every time.

Exactly what I was looking for, thanks for making this! My only feature request would be an option to make it much more apparent when a page has a note (for example the note pop-up could open automatically, if Chrome allows that)—otherwise I'm likely to forget I left a note.

It would be amazing if you make this in cloud and we could share and see other people's notes! Also make it hidden in Google Drive maybe so that we don't accidentally delete it. Mll my recipe notes are gone:(

Probably the best out there, but there are some missed opportunities. For example, could you please make the notification more visible? For example, when using Workona todo extension and when you bookmark a website and visit it again it the icon is showing the number "1" (that have 1 new notification) Ideally it would be epic to have an auto popup extension when you visit the page, but in the meantime, putting a number or something on the icon will help a lot, because many times I just ignore it.

Great little notepad. so simple and swift, unlike other notepads, waiting for it to load just never happens... click it and it's there and ready for input (ok, you do have to hit the edit button if a note already exists for the page/domain ). After trying 5 different notepads (of the sticky type) I came back to Page Notes because sticky just isn't worth the lag. the only three improvements I would suggest are: Give it the option to pop out and pin to the foreground because it blocks a portion of the screen and disappears when you click outside of the window (which is the one advantage sticky-type note extensions has over Page Notes & why I tried so many), the ability to quickly cut and paste into it would make using it more nimble. Add the option to save a Template. Along with it being pop-outable from it's fixed location, it is also a fixed width... having a couple of presets that could be tailored to the perfect height and width for the note's you keep would save the time it takes to get the right balance of info and whitespace when the section you've copied is wider than the note's limit. Add the ability to make a highlighted area that can act as a "cell" that could be referenced by google sheets (maybe through the "forms"), Making it so you could take notes on a bunch of pages and have the important data self populate as an append entry on a spreadsheet would be awesome.

So simple, yet so great! the info I need, exactly when I need it. Thank you, Manu Garg, great work! :)

I've only used it for few days but so far, everything seem great. I only wish there was an ability to make keyboard shortcuts and perhaps a way to sort- such as label but then it may make it to load slowly so I think it's good as is. But customizable keyboard shortcuts is really really desirable especially for those students who have disability but also for an average person. Anyway, thanks for a great extension!

Very good, simple and functional. NO annoying extra features and privacy concerns. I use this as bookmark manager.

It is a simple little extension that works like a charm, it has even the cloud sync feature! please make an option to get a notification if there are any important notes for a specific website, the notification with a specific date of activating

I still have some more exploring to do BUT it is a simple and convenient tool for saving things to review later when you come across them on the web.

Works pretty well, but I'd suggest an updated icon that will show up when using dark mode (Brave browser). When no notes are on the page, the icon is not visible.

Great work, Manu! The only tool I found that lets me quickly jot notes about a page, and export the notes with URLs directly to a spreadsheet CSV ... And it doesn't require access to all my Drive documents or requiring account creation at a third party site. The unobtrusive #tag feature is very useful too for separating tasks or projects. I got an error setting up syncing, but it doesn't affect the functionality I need. Thanks!

Keeps popping up asking me to setup sync every time I open Chromium on a rastberry pi... no idea why.

I ALWAYS end up with so many open tabs or accidentally close them and then lose track of what I needed it for. You sir are an absolute legend.

I just started using it but it was exactly what I was looking for something just to jot down a simple note on a website like an episode number in a series to remember which episode you were on. Unlike others this was simple to use and setup.

This is a great extension that I had so far. I love its feature that I can add a note per spreadsheet and google forms that I have for my work. Hope that there's a function that I can add colors on my notes, and also a feature that the notes will auto-pop up once I open the website where I added a note. But, so far so good!

Was looking for a note editor that will associate notes with a given page. Meets my needs perfectly. Would be even better if you could have notes pop-up when you revisit page automatically.

Great extension, it's been years now that I use it - most def 5 stars! Things that I think could event improve it would be: - bigger input field when entering note - and possibility to have mono font (same width each character)

Nice, unassuming, clean and works on Chromebook. I installed this to add notes to simple Google search results for stock prices. The ability to turn off the "apply to all pages of this site" was absolutely key since I typically pull up many different Google stock price searches simultaneously with a unique note added to each search result. Seems perfect; looking forward to trying it out.

Nice app. I like the export csv option. I export it and open it as an excel spreadsheet. Brilliant. Perfect way to store the info.

I initially rated it 5 stars but I would have kept that rating if it allowed saving multiple notes per page and not one single note for a whole page.

I wish the extension could be able to modify the url on the notes so I can make notes for a section of the site and not only for site or page. I usually read web novels, and a lot of them, i was searching for an app to register a glossary for each novel with character description, place description, etc. So i need the notes to be per novel, say the url is: "https://site.com/novelName/chapterName/pageNumber" ; i want the notes to be linked to: "https://site.com/novelName/*"

Nice, simple and effective. Would ~LOVE~ the ability to change the "Apply to all pages of this site" to be OFF by default. I use this for remembering the highest I'm willing to bid on eBay auctions, and obviously having the same number applied to ALL pages is not what I want, and having to manually remember to unclick it 50 times a day isn't ideal. UPDATE: Awesome sauce! Thank you very much, I've updated my review to 5* and will continue to use it daily. :) REQUEST #2: I guess the next logical step would be to introduce markdown rendering in to the text (underline, bold, italics, strikethrough, etc.), but it's not really necessary... Would just be cool. Still 5*. :)

I used this extension from many years now. Easy to use, sync on all devices. Thanks to keep it simple.

I absolutely love it, the most useful chrome extension I have. One tiny improvement would be if it automaticaly saved when I pressed ctrl+enter or ctrl+s Update: just deleted all my notes on a page because I edited a note and it defaulted to 'for all pages on this site'. Slightly bitter about that

Great extension. Does what it says. Syncs to Google Drive. It lets me save notes per page. I find this useful to privately keep track of previous discussions over docs or with people. Feature request, a more noticeable reminder that a notes has been stored to the page I just entered. The yellow icon is just too easy to miss. e.g. have the icon blink twice when entering a page with a note. Thank you for developing this.

Great app, instantly one of my favorites. It's great for reminders related to pages. I've started using it to smart tag pages for searching and organizing. Awesome

It works like a domain or page-level location-based reminder notes. Additionally, you use a as a temporary text box for quick note when you are reading a page that has no text field. It's much better than browser's address bar. After you finish the page, you can cut the input and paste it wherever.

Liked it a lot, work in sales so it's very useful for keeping track of a huge list of websites/pages. I would like an option to enable a more clear notification that a note has been left if when I visit a page. The icon turning yellow is good but I would like something that's going to grab my attention a little more.

The best extension to take notes for specific pages or generally when browsing web. Notes are synced and you can view/export all of them later. Very powerful and helpful extension. Some suggestions: - add tag categorization for easy filtering - clickable links in notes - rich formatting (not crucial but would further improve functionality) - sharing of notes

Simply does exactly what it claims to do. Would have a fifth star if it stayed on until switched off manually.

A visual cue that a note has been left, would be helpful. I know you have the Page Notes icon change, but that really isn't too visible. An option to highlight the headline would be really helpful.

Essential for grad students1

Love this! I tried a handful of similar extensions, but most of them were either too bloated or had been abandoned for years. This is simple but has 3 things that make it perfect for me: 1) notes can be per-page or per-domain 2) syncs notes across devices via GoogleDrive 3) fast and unobtrusive The latest version fixes the whitespace rendering issue (thanks!)

Great extension, thanks for putting this out there. I see that it was a long time since last update. So probably development has stoped? I would love to be able to tag my notes. I.e. if i wanna save something when studying economics i will tag it with economics. And later one could filter for those tags when viewing all ones notes. Maybe make it open source if development has stoped?

Used to be great. I used it all the time. This morning all my notes were gone. The support page shows this issue has happened to quite a few folks. One reply from the developer was "What's wrong with you man? Are you paying me or what? Don't use this extension please, if you see problems with it." Umm... I'm gonna dump the extension right now & spread the word. The guy doesn't seem to care if we lose data or not. Not cool.

Awesome extension. As noted by other users, would be great if there the icon would flash, or give me a pop-up, or something to remind me there's a note present. Sometimes I add a note, and I'll know to look for it (e.g., sky miles #), but other times I want to be *reminded* of something when I visit a website (e.g., "don't forget you have a coupon that expires on this site!!") It would be even more cool to customize whether there's a pop up for each page, because maybe you don't want the reminder/pop-up for every note!

Really like this, and the lack of "sign-up" requirement is great. It just works and keeps a backup on my GDrive. Which is perfect. The only suggestion i would like to see implemented would be an option for the note window to be required to be clicked closed. Or some method of keeping it open so I don't miss it to put in tags, and side notes in there. It isn't that I can't, it's just I'm never sure if I can and it would be cool to have a setting that would make sure. Indications that previous notes exist for this page while there would be great. Best of all worlds in that area would be if you and the guy who created 'Super Simple Highlighter' could get together and create a highlighted area I could attach a note to. :-) wish there were more than 5 stars on this one. ********************************************************************************************************

Just what I was looking for. And syncing to Google Drive is great for backing up. I'd just like the ability to increase the size of the note manually. Also, being able to manually place it on different areas of the site would be great.

Wish it would allow me to attach the note to specific words or at a specific location in the page. E.g. If I select text, right click, and then add a note, the note should show up as a link next time I come to that web page. If the page changes, it would revert back to the existing system.

good enough, it would be better to have a sticky note option on the site content and to allow it to float over the content while scrolling

EDIT: Only thing I would change would be to have an option for it save on all tabs. So i can switch between stuff and still be adding to my same note. Not sure why this is not a option let alone the default. So far just what I was looking for. My chrome toolbar is set to black color so I couln't see this extension icon. Luckily you added an option for changing it to the old icon look. :)

4.5 out of 5 Does almost everything I could want... just would be nice if it was more obvious when moving to a webpage that had an existing note. For instance, the option to have the note drop out of the icon, would be really nice.

Good idea, but it fails, it doesn't sync, I got an error. When I go to All Notes, Last Modified shows Date Invalid Date and Note doesn't show the text already saved. Another problem is that you can't change tab if while writing something because you lose the text.

Like it. But it would be better if extension could have different icons for existing page-level notes and site-level notes. Update: i would like to have ability to make URL "synonyms" (aliases?), somewhere in settings.

Was looking for a Push to Google Keep extension when I discovered Page Notes. This is even better for note context mapping. Darn handy, the best things are simple: url + note Perfect!

Exactly what I wanted. Great little extension.

Great little extension. I can see myself using this all the time. There are a couple of things that could make it a bit better for me: In the page where it lists all your notes, it'd be nice to be able to sort/reorder them. E.g. by date added or by domain. And I'd like to be able to use the enter key as an enter key so I can write longer notes easier. At the moment enter saves the note. Although I do realise I can hit "shift-enter" and it does what I want.

After using for less than a week, fail to sync each and every day on every of my four computers. No feedback one week after reporting. There is a major revamp in August 2012. Now it syncs smoothly without any issue on my four machines. It also added several nice features, such as a more spacious text box and a list of all URLs with links.
