Scribe is very useful, but I have experienced my Scribe recording just going away and not saving my information after I click "Complete". I did a lot of work and when I wanted to be done nothing saved. Not sure what happened but would love for someone to reach out and help me figure out that issue. Unfortunately, I cannot duplicate the issue because it only happened twice out of around 20 different Scribe recordings.
Excellent tool for sharing how-to's. Scribe picks up every key stroke and click so you can provide very detailed instructions and screenshots. It suggests accurate titles, allows you to share via link or download a pdf, and is super easy to edit.

This is incredibly easy to use and also creates very functional guides that are user friendly. It saves time on the production side and also accelerates the training process.
This extension has saved me 90% of time when it comes to creating users guides for clients. I used to take around 3 hours to write a 60 step user guide in the past, now it takes me approx 30 minutes using scribe. An absolute game changer! If you are not using it, try it just once, and you will never use another user guide making tool.

As a Software engineer, I write a ton of documentation for different stakeholders. Since I began using Scribe, it has allowed me to iterate on documentation much quicker and force my documentation to be more concise and easier to consume by all parties. The exporting feature is great for working with Confluence, and the Chrome extension makes it quick and easy to use when working on the Web. I recommend to anyone who needs to write documentation, it professional and forces you to focus on the steps that matter so people can get to work faster.
I'm still waiting for the human scribe I was promised. In the mean time the extension is easy to use and I supervisor thinks I am brilliant for creating so many guides. I thought I was getting a real life scribe, with clay tablets. 0/10.

I love this tool! I appreciate that I can customize my comments on each image. While I'm only using the free version, there are few formatting tools I'd like to be able to use. I'm sure they're available on the purchased version (which I'm now highly considering).
LOVE Scribe!! So much more helpful than a video that you have to watch over and over or creating a separate doc for processes. Massive time saver and so easy to use. Also like that you can add a tip/warning/etc. Like the gif feature as well!
So far, so good.. this is an easily-used tool for capturing and narrating your clicks through a function or process with any website or web app. People find the flow easy to follow when then can perform the function live while reviewing the steps with pictures and explanations. Great stuff!

I'm thrilled with Scribe. It's fast, intuitive, and a great value-add to our training efforts. We are using it in conjunction with other materials but for specific how-to's, it's hard to imagine how you could beat what they're offering.
It's an amazing tool that is making the process of creating tutorials so much faster and easier. No more annoying process. I only wished that the possibility to add an extra screenshot and editing a screenshot (i.e. blurring the confidential data and pointing out to a particular place) was also available in free version. However, I do understand, that the company needs donations to grow and to provide this service, so no claims regarding that. At the same time, it would be more than great if with time you would discover (implement) a feature of recording chrome windows as well. For example, in order to make tutorials for Chrome API extension. It would SO MUCH of a help. Otherwise, the APP is brilliant and I put a hat off for developers!
My only regret is that it took me so long to discover this extension. It makes recording process incredibly easy and fast. I went in without doing any tutorials and successfully completed scribes with no issues. Very intuitive. Great for recording process docs. My only suggestion is that I'd like the duplicate process to be a bit more streamlined. ie like the delete process (in the actual scribe. Would also like to brand and add a cover page (although this might be something I can do already! I'll do a tutorial at some stage!) Keep up the great work! Thank you.

This is an incredible app. I've been using it to document my institutional knowledge and train other staff. I would love to see the free version be able to add additional screenshots to a Scribe. I frequently find myself wanting to add an extra image that I forgot to include in the Scribe while I was recording my screen. One feature I also appreciate is how file organization has been updated recently so that I can tell which Scribes I have created that are private and which ones I have shared with my team.

Scribe has literally changed my (work) life as far as creating usable training content! It is a "for real" free software that is user friendly and squashes the need to continually do screenshots, explanations, etc. I honestly don't know how I managed without it.
I recently used Scribe for a project and was really impressed. The user interface was easy to navigate and the features were great. It was especially helpful that they have a database of over 20 million words that you can use to make sure your content is accurate. I also liked how they offer a custom dictionary feature so you can customize your own words. The customer service was outstanding, they answered all of my questions quickly and efficiently. Overall, I had a great experience with Scribe and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and user friendly content writing tool.
In a word - Nifty. saved me so much time than manual, looks crisper and neater than a document full of screenshots with red circles and annotations, will be continuing use of this and likely to upgrade for work. I guess one for product - a short video capture that shows the same functionality would be epic - like even a 20 second limit, that lets you go through as you would have done, highlighting the actions taken but the user clicks to move through each section, with it pausing on the action...
Scribe makes new product walkthroughs or tools enablement a breeze. No more cropping images to size, worrying about annotations, etc- it's all super easy to use in Scribe.. The only thing I wish I could do is change the color scheme to go with our branding. I have yet to find an easy way. And exporting to Word is not intuitive (at least my version of Word.) That being said, PDF is an easy option. All in all, I'd recommend it as a tool that saves you a BUNCH of time when creating how-to's and walkthroughs.

This is mega! I found out about this extension through someone on Twitter and I am really impressed. I've been creating process documents by hand in Lucid Chart and this is so much faster and easier! Also with this I can show each step written out, which I think is great. I was rushing through Loom videos to talk through screen records but this is way faster. Love it!

Amazing program, so much easier than having to screenshare or screen record and do voice overs. Quickly documenting a process or demonstrating an error is makes Scribe invaluable to me. I would love to see custom branding and font to better match other content that I store scribes in, such as a knowledge base.
Requires account login to even try. Heavy promotion across the internet, multiple reviews from the same name on the same date. Triggers too many red flags to feel safe using it.
This extension by default will have access to all the websites you visit, which by itself isn't terrible, but if you go to the network tab you will see a POST request made to SENTRY, which is a data/mining/analytic logging tool. All your keystrokes, urls, visit and possibly screenshot, error logs are all tracked. Remove this or limit its access in the settings.. They should be ashamed of themselves.
It was pretty good for a while but the extension is completely non responsive now. removing and adding again doesn't solve it. Furthermore even though I am the creator I cannot view some scribes because i don't have access permission. So basically something that was very useful has now becomes extremely costly to me as I have lost work and also lost the ability to reproduce it.
My website developer just used this to show me how to edit something on my new site on my own. I was blown away with how easy it is to use, so I decided to sign up and give it a try. It tracks each click and turns it into a step-by-step sequence with screenshots in the vicinity of your click, and gives a description of what you've done. You can remove any clicks you don't want to be part of the sequence as well. So easy!

Scribe has changed the way I communicate and document information. I remember trying (and failing) to create simple tutorials or stepwise breakdowns before I came across Scribe. I love how effortless it is to use. The ability to customize everything and make tweaks to the auto-generated docs is an added advantage. But the coolest part has to be the fact that you can publish your Scribes and rank on search engines--incredible!

This extension is a godsend for WFH folks. Saved me a ton of time taking screenshots and documenting my work process to my team right before taking off for an extended vacation. It's more natural than copy and pasting, just hit record and it'll transcribe and annotate your workflow without much manual input. The best thing about it is you can document internal processes and only share to specific team members much like Google Suite. Instead of answering Slack about how to do X, I just refer colleagues to my Scribe guides and they'll also have something to reference w/o having to bug me. Also great taking private notes on obscure processes where I myself forget how to do certain things.

Found a use for this for reporting bugs to my IT team--when I was having an issue with my browser or desktop, I'd start recording the workflow to send to my IT team so they could see exactly where the bug was and how to reproduce it. Scribe is a gamechanger. I wish I had this years ago while creating onboarding materials, training guides etc. These activities took hours of time and precious headspace. It's a must-have for any process-heavy team or those constantly adding new members.
As a people ops professional, Scribe is super useful when I'm training managers especially in a remote environment. I love Scribe!

Scribe has dramatically improved our employee onboarding process and experience. In the past we were confined to creating our own “How To” guides in Word which were not only time consuming but lacked the level of detail you can capture by simply using Scribe. Teaching new hires things such as order entry or how to request time off can now be captured in a few short clicks via Scribe.
Wow I wish I knew about this earlier! When I was preparing to leave my last job to go out on maternity leave, the CEO wanted me to write a physical step by step manual detailing the processes for all of the various computer financial reports and inventory spreadsheets I updated daily. I will definitely be telling him about my new scribe discovery- so cool!
How am I just finding this extension now? I have spent hours and hours capturing screen shots, entering text boxes, typing in instructions and Scribe could have done this for me in seconds!!! I love this so much...but I hate how much time I have wasted doing this manually over the years. Oh well, at least I have it now.
Scribe has saved me a ton of time. As pretty much the most tech savvy person in my office, I used to spend a ton of time jumping on Teams to trying to teach others how to use various programs or workflows. With Scribe, I just record a scribe and then the answer is available to everyone. No repeat explanations to new hires, and people can reference it whenever they need it. I recommend it to everyone.
As a software engineer, scribe has been great for process documentation and capturing steps to reproduce a bug. Before I started using this tool, I was creating similar docs from screenshots that were much uglier and much slower to make.
One of those tools that after trying for the first time makes you go - "why wasn't this created earlier?!" So easy to use and works for great for literally any audience. I work in operations at a startup so constantly answering questions from colleagues on "how to to X in this tool" - Scribe has been a lifesaver

Love this extension! Super easy to create Scribes to share "How To" instructions for any website out there. I haven't set up the Windows app yet, but when I need to go deeper than sharing information for just the browser I will absolutely sign up for that. It's free to sign up. If there are any step by step instructions you want to share for a browser you should definitely set this up and if you need to go beyond the browser, it's ready for you!
This is such a cool tool. It documents everything you do WHILE YOU DO IT. It's absolutely wild. Even tracks everything I clicked and plugs in links. And there's screenshots in it too so it's really easy for anyone to follow along. Gonna use this the next time my mom asks how to use her email, lol.
Seriously changed my life. I would spent so many hours taking screenshots and then going into canva to edit them. Scribe is THE best tool for documenting processes. Period! It's a really good alternative to recorded demos too.

I thought this was a sceren recorder and lost a 5 minute clip of my screen I will never get back that was extremely important and a one time chance. My fault, but you should be more obvious that's not a feature if you literally click record and stop. It's very misleading...
Hands down favorite chrome extension. I used to spend hours piecing together training docs with janky images and text. Scribe does it for me and it looks AMAZING.
I'm a sales guy - i.e. not great when it comes to "creative" things - and have struggled with tools like QuickTime and PowerPoint and Google Slides for years trying to visualize things. Joining a global business, with staff scattered all over the world, I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to really train and enable my team effectively. Scribe has legit changed my life. I can't even count the number of Scribes I've spun up on the fly and shared with my team and peers. It's allowed me to get all my staff, regardless of experience or location, "marching to the beat of the same drum". Don't know how I ever got by without it!
This past week I had to find a quick way to share a project at work. Stumbled upon Scribe and so far it's amazing. Incredibly intuitive design. It made it super easy to build a how to guide for using the tool I created. Huge fan and this will be my go to solution for me going forward!
So easy to use! I noticed that it's not the best for showing off how to fill out a form correctly as the recorder records what you do *exactly.* But that just means that you have to edit the instructions to make it more generic, such as "Answer the question."
Wow. I was so impressed that it took me less than five minutes after creating a Scribe account to publish my first set of step-by-step instructions. Scribe will save me so much time by automating the mundane task of manually pasting screenshots and typing instructions in emails. With the time I've saved, I'll be able to devote my efforts to more interesting and challenging deliverables instead.
This is a very intuitive productivity tool to share out knowledge with the broader team in a scalable manner. Teams need visual examples, whether completing rote tasks or learning something novel. Scribe makes generating and sharing such examples very easy.
The first time I used Scribe, it was so easy and intuitive, and saved me a lot of time in sending directions of how to use some internal software to my colleagues. Super user friendly, definitely a keeper among the key chrome extensions I use.
Scribe, in my opinion, should be every company's go-to documentation tool. And while I've used the word 'documentation,' it's so much more than that. Scribe is the REAL DEAL. It's just amazing. Imagine - you are looking forward to explaining one of your employees how to install or configure a platform. Now, either you can go ahead and record a video or you can create a highly-detailed step-by-step guide manually. But with Scribe, you can just share your screen, show how to do something and the platform will automatically turn it into a step-by-step guide. The platform need more eyeballs. Love it and will recommend it to people in my network :)

My life has drastically improved since discovering Scribe. As a recent new hire, my onboarding experience was so much easier because my company uses Scribe as our standard to sharing processes and answering "how do I..." questions. Instead of having to wait until someone can hop on a Zoom to help me with tools, my colleagues can take 30 seconds to Scribe a process and send it over to me, complete with beautiful step-by-step screenshots and text.

Would give this a 10 star but it continues to freeze pages I am scribing on. (Never had or have these issues until I start scribe. Might try uninstalling and reinstalling because it's an awesome app! Just wish it would complete a scribe without freezing.

They are simple to create and very organized, and employees prefer Scribes over boring meetings.

Scribe is definitely one of my favorite and most used apps. We spend so much time on our computers everyday going through step-by-step processes. Finally there's an app that allows you to document the steps of any process on your desktop with ease. It's one of the most intuitive apps I've ever used. The interface is clean and easy to understand and you can pick it up immediately. I'm still trying to figure out how it knows what screen grabs I'm going to need but it gets it right every time. Even when my flow is not perfect, editing your scribe is very simple and very intuitive. I like that you can edit your steps and add more details and information. Most recently I have been doing some consulting on an app and helping users understand how to set up their websites. Scribe saves me so much time. The value in this app is the amount of time it will save you. The advanced features in the pro plan allow you to export as markdown, HTML, and even export to confluence. If you teach people how to do things on the computer, Scribe needs to be in your tool kit. Time is money.

I create and update several training classes. I wish I had scribe years ago. It is amazing and will be used quite extensively as I develop my next project. It is easy to use, easy to correct and does so much of the work for you. I am amazed. We are also creating an inhouse Project Management program to detail each of our recurring jobs. Scribe should make this a breeze.
I am really happy with the software, it is easy to use, easy to edit and gives us another option to get how to information to clients and the team.
