this extension is super friendly, very compatible to many websites and actually help to save the world by cutting paper prints with unwanted part removed.

The best because it works right from my computer.

I've been using Print Friendly for the last 4 years and it works perfectly for me (Windows 10 and 11 only.) Don't know if there is a Mac version. This app is a real time saver and one of the very few I have experimented with that does exactly what it says, and does it perfectly every time.

Finally I searched for a printing app and fonund it. Before I struggled to print. This seems to work correctly and I think it's essential for printing an article from the web. Appreciate it a lot.

Kind of a disappointment that it doesn't give you the choice to include images or not. Most of the time, it's only giving text when there are images present and I'd like both or at least the option.

wow. this is such a good extension. so damn useful!

I get it that ppl like all the guff that's on web pages, but this extension is brilliant at allowing you to get rid of extraneous material on a web page leaving the essential text and graphics for saving / printing. I was surprised when I started using this app to edit out unwanted material I was left with very little material per web page that pertained to the subject at hand. Just goes to show you how much info on web pages is just "other stuff". Saves on ink and paper as well if you want to print things out. Well done a really good app worth having.

I am primarily using it to make pdf's of my classroom ebooks, where I am legally able to make copies for personal use. I use it to print out online articles that I like to save for reference also. Very well done. You can remove entire sections, graphics, or keep a whole webpage and then get a printer-friendly copy or a nice, clean pdf to save and reference later, even offline. Well done.

Great extension, very easy to use and works great on almost every website

Seems to no longer work. I tried producing a PDF of a site. Almost all the content was missing from the preview. I clicked download to see what the end result was like just in case, but it was just the same.

This plugin suited my needs and went BEYOND my needs as far as removing funky formatting and extra ads or photos--- but one MASSIVE problem... all pages printed are missing the publishing date. That includes news articles, blogs, etc. It's just gone. Never renders in the first place. Sadly, that makes this impossible for my needs as I need to be able to print items with both the publishing date and the print date.

There's a portion where you can take off elements you don't want printed or saved as a PDF. This definitely helped me save ink and paper. I love it. I could not recommend this extension enough!

Amazing! It lets you to download PDF and print the HTML web pages really quick and in a responsive way. Probably the best. However, the interface seems a bit outdated.

Simple, free and works exactly as advertised!

Was excited to be able to remove ads from PDF but first try was NOT good. I tried to print my itinerary from United Airlines. The formatting was HORRIBLE using this extension. It deleted the seat numbers for some reason. Also it ADDED commas in-between the airport abbreviations. For example Manila MNL became M,N,L. So hopeful, so disappointed.

Simple, elegant and beautiful. It prints the content of the page in an organized manner, regarless the background graphics or icons. Hard to find any other app that does this.

I do like it; it is easy to use. But, it lacks features, like: * Being able to add information that was eliminated (for example, authorship) * Indicating when the website was accessed (very helpful to know when citing in a Bibliography) I might use it from time to time. But, it will not move me away from other (better) tools like Print Edit WE.

For the most part, excellent! I just wish there were MORE OPTIONS for resizing images. (1) sometimes 50% is too large but 25% is too small - it would be great if we could get increments of 20% or 10%, like with the text editor (2) Would also be fantastic if we could resize individual pictures at different rates - often cover pictures are Huge but reducing them makes everything else far too tiny. That said, ever since outline.com went down this is one of my go-tos for saving tutorials and articles. SO helpful for getting rid of unneeded stuff, and it seems to auto-detect side banners and popups so I don't have to remove them,

The extension didn't work for the one-and-only website I wanted/tried it for (https://www.theemotionmachine.com/six-aspects-of-a-well-balanced-person/). The tool on their website handles the site fine but this extension showed no more than the top of the page, consisting only of headers and images and whatnot. As suggested in a review by another user, I tried the extension "Print Edit WE" and while it's not *exactly* what I was looking for, it actually works and gets the job done; just takes a little more time and effort.

hands down the best web page to pdf ever. no cut in half pages , no junk. fast easy. wonderful. i dont normally do reviews but this is worth it.

It appears that it is no longer supported on Chrome. As others have reported, you can install it, but there is no way to use it. Unfortunate.

Very good in simplifying complex pages, but should not change the pages' fonts.

Used this today (7/8/2021) to convert a webpage/Email with several pages. This is perfect because it grabs an exact clean version of the webpage. Everything within the margins, images etc. If anyone has trouble where the images are not there, use the Print option after capturing the webapge. Using the first direct PDF option broke the links to the images but after using the Print button, then selecting "print to PDF" as my printer, entire page is captured right! Thanks to whoever made this

Was in love with this tool when it can capture the whole page as it is... but now it has changed. Captures a webpage in a text format with plain texts. Can't even tell if the text has an hyperlink unless you hover mouse on it. Why did you change? Bring the old one back. Removing it now.

I love this tiny one which is very useful.

Use it everyday. Makes my life so much easier, especially when researching topics in newspapers, and magazines. The editing functions mean I can remove superfluous content from the page so I have exactly what I need.

Been using this extension for several years now and I love it. It's intuitive, easy to use, works flawlessly. It gives you control over what elements in the webpage you want to keep/remove or reduce/enlarge. Keep in mind when printing your PDF that you need to use the PRINT button at the top of the newly created PDF window that pops open (from where you edit your new PDF document) rather than printing using your keyboard print commands. Your keyboard commands will attempt to print the original webpage. Thank you for such a useful tool!

Can you please add the ability to print Twitter threads correctly? Currently it strips out embedded twitter feeds from pages and in Twitter directly, the formatting is all messed up, cutting out images, text, etc. Also, what you preview in the plugin is not what gets saved to a PDF... sometimes images get stripped (Twitter or pages with embedded twitter feeds).

Ultra low drag, high speed way to generate PDFs and printable docs!!!

I like the output: I.e., it outputs a PDF without page-separations (just one, long scrollable "page"), but it seems it's not my computer doing the conversion! It gets done by the server of the company which made this extension, and then I download the finished file from them! This seems like a poor idea. It both tells them what i am interested in, and it uses up bandwidth needlessly! Both for the planet as whole (wasted energy and bandwidth), and for me (I have to download the same page twice!), and it wastes my internet bandwidth, having to download the PDF-file I have already downloaded as a webpage, and I have to wait for the company's server to finish doing the computation for 10-20 seconds - this can be longer or shorter depending on how many people are using the service right now! - instead of having my own computer do it in a fraction of a second! Kudos for the output quality, but not for the scheme by which it is done!

Used to be one of the best Chrome extensions out there but it stopped working on quite a number of webpages after the January 2021 update. I contacted support with some examples and they said they would look into it, but there's been at least three updates since the problem started and it's still not working. Such a shame.

I wrote a 4-star review earlier about this extension. I'm lowering it to 3 stars because even though I uninstalled it from Chrome and reinstalled it, it still didn't work in the Chrome browser. It usually stops working after 2.5-3 months and a reinstall usually fixes the problem. I just installed it on Firefox and there was no problem, so I'll continue to use it on FF. It's a useful extension and I've used it extensively, but its performance can vary greatly in different browsers.

In general, a terrific utility, but there are websites that defeat PrintFriendly. The vast majority do not. In general I find it a very useful way to print to .pdf or printer, first deleting - at my discretion - unnecessary graphics & internal (to the website) advertising; regular ads always get stripped. That's really worthwhile. I see two kinds of problem: 1. The extension fails to catch the data you want & shows only extraneous stuff; think the "other suggested content" material the website offers.I suspect there are ways to pump data (text on some news sites) directly into "boxes" on-screen (invisible to you) that PrintFriendly can't intercept. In this case I just use Chrome's print command. 2. Some websites pump graphics to screen, again in a way that PrintFriendly can't capture. Two examples are Barron's Marketwatch.com site and DowJones' website Investors.com. In both cases text is captured fine but anything in a graph or data display is either missing or comes through as junk.

I have been used this plugin for around one year very intensively on two work computers. It is FANTASTIC. Super easy to use. Allows me to save entire web sites as pdf or only the text parts that I need to save or print. Works very very well. Does what it is supposed to do better than expected. This is a must for anybody saving or printing WEB content.

I used this extension to print something, but I was unable to delete parts of the text in one section and the extension is unable to make HTML5 objects (like tables). Also it doesn't match the original Google Chrome print preview in landscape mode.
