I have used for several years and have found it extremely useful and practical.
Have used Start.me for many years & purchased a lifetime subscription. Four reasons I use it: 1. Provides one place where you can access your most important bookmarks, regardless of device / browser / location etc. Used to get frustrated when I had something bookmarked at work on Firefox and then couldn't access at home on Chrome for example 2. A group of bookmarks can all be opened at once - useful for projects, work tasks 3. You can search for bookmarks (including text in the description area) using the search option in the top right 4. Have used the Notes widgets to all all the various keyboard shortcuts for particular applications that are hard to remember
I love start.me because all the most used links are conveniently organized for fast access. If anything happened to me my spouse could easily see what I have been using.
Love it ... Purchased the lifetime membership which should tell you a lot. Love the feature that you can create a page add a password and share with others. Had a friend looking for a boat. Just shared my page with all my links and away he went.
I use Start.me as my home page because it allows me to organize my personal and corporate information easily in set segments. I use it on both my desktop and mobile browsers.
I have been using this extension for over 3 years now and have found it to very productive addition.
Like many others I have tried multiple tools for bookmarking before I found start.me. Being able to create specific pages to organize them all is wonderful. It is more of a productivity tool than a bookmark manager in my opinion, especially with the addition of addons like notes, calendar integration, notes and todo lists. Adding RSS feeds for all of my daily news sources allows me to scan the headlines quickly without all of the adware associated with the websites. Quality product for my needs.
It's OK. Doesn't do a heck of a lot. Bookmarks and grouping with a little note taking and news like it's supposed to. I paid for lifetime but don't think it was worth it. Just use the free. The calendar widget is very plain. You can embed but most sights won't allow. It won't store docs like Raindrop, does not show screenshots. Not a lot of widgets available. It's good for the News feeds though and for sharing. I would love it if it were more like a board that connected with some online apps but the sites don't allow it.
I absolutely LOVE Start.Me! It is a brilliant way to organize bookmarks and personalize your home page. The ability to have several home pages (I have a work home page and home home page) keeps things very organized. It is simply the BEST and I won't use the internet without it! Highly, highly recommend!
LOVE using the Start.Me page. I used to write my own starting page and host it on my own domain so that no matter where I found myself I could easily go to my web site and have all my information at the click of a button. But that takes time and I'd often not update it but a few times a year. When I found Start.Me I fell in love. As a software developer, I'm a bit picky about what products I use. Some look great but don't function well. Some function well but look terrible. And technical support is most often horrible for all of them. BUT!!! Start.Me is very responsive. On the few occasions that something is not right, I shoot them an email and usually within an hour or two they've contacted me and most often corrected the problem. I've even asked them if they could add something to a future release and within days they added it and improved the product! The cost per year is set at a great price as well. Not too high. My husband created Linkable (Draggo) about a decade ago, which was the precursor to Start.me - and Start.me has improved upon his idea tenfold. It is super usable, shareable, and amazing. I use it for personal, for work, and anyone I share it with is impressed. It makes managing all those links and website and documents in an orderly fashion so much easier. I love it and cannot recommend it enough!
I have tried about 50 Bookmark managers and have finally found the one I am sticking with. I like that you can create book marks as well as notes. Easy to use, easy to maintain. Very stable. I use this 100 time a day.
simple but very effective productivity tool
"FIRST!" I wonder why it's taken so long for someone to come up with the absolute genius ideas that start.me is implementing. The extension wasn't visible when first installed. I had to click the extensions icon, then three-dots, and pin the bookmarker. It works like a top. Love it.
