It's hard to believe, but it seems that so called and very annoying "suggestions" are gone!

Can no longer use it to get the old, good facebook back, but, it makes the current facebook tolerable. I do wish AppDetex would stop it with their nonsense trademark dispute. At the time I am typing this, AppDetex doesn't have one but they will because that's what they do. They word their disputes so badly that no one can even understand how to resolve the disputes so a lot of people creating extensions just give up and no longer support Chrome. Google, if you are reading this, stop giving in to AppDetex's disputes. They know they are BS, that's why they write them so poorly that no one even understands them. Ignore them if you can't clearly pass on to extension authors what needs to be changed in the extensions.

I wanted to write a review, as I use it on safari on my mac. Excellent product that gives FB a headache and really does kill ads, until FB changes their code, FB Purity does its best to stay on top of changes that FB makes. Just too bad this extension cannot be added to the FB app on mobile devices. Thank you for "No Ads".

The only reason I can tolerate Facebook and their unethical algorithm that tries to dictate what we give our attention to -- without it I would be an ex-user.

Great Extension. Have used it for years on Firefox and Safari. Noe Chrome as well.

The best! Managed to get rid of all the facebook 'suggested' posts and videos that wasted a lot of my time. Turned my Feed into a more focused enviorment.

Fantastic! Completely changes my view of using facebook these days, and brings back my personal control to see what I WANT to see, instead of what's being forced by Zuck to support his meta failure.

LOVE Fluff-Buster Purity! I would NEVER navigate FaceBook again without using it! My children told me about it a few years ago and I am ever so grateful RUNNNNN and do not walk to get if for yourself today!

if purity no longer works on vivaldi i will be changing browsers . if it no longer works on any browser i will delete FB . without purity facebook is just about bearable . the one decent app around and it could be dead because of google and facebook fighting .

Best extension ever

This is an exceptional and vital extension for facebook. It is fantastic. Chrome, not so much. Either Chrome keeps FB purity (and up-to-date at that), or I leave. Changing browsers is a VERY minor annoyance compared to not having FB Purity to make facebook functional.

It does not hide that stupid "reels" section.

Dear Google Chrome if you remove this extension I will remove Google Chrome from all my computers, tablets and phones.

TEN STARS if I could!! Fluff Busting Purity allows me to use facebook the way *I* choose to. I want to read posts in chronological order, *not* in the random, bizarro order imposed upon me by Meta. If I am no longer allowed to use Fluff Busting Purity on my chromebook, then facebook will be unusable.

Makes facebook actually tolerable. I hate looking at fb on my phone because I can't have FBP extension on my phone. Would use this everywhere all the time if I could!

F.B. Purity is the one thing that makes Facebook reasonably bearable with its incessant demands to try to monetize your feed. Give the functionality of this tool, and the fact that Facebook takes considerable efforts to try to remove any extension that would cause it to impede their drive for cash, I'd see it as a reason to dump a browser where the owning company chose to side with Facebook against the development of this tool.

Facebook has become unbearable ... unless you have Fluff Busting Purity. This extension allows YOU to decide what you see on facebook, instead of their advertisers. I don't know how anyone can tolerate that site without this. If Google didn't have the extension, good news! Firefox does. It's also on Opera, Edge, and a few other browsers. If Google drops it, I'll switch browsers immediately.

This extension is such a necessity for browsing facebook that I won't use a browser that doesn't support it. While the ad blocking is nice, the ability to weed out posts about wordle and (insert politician here) is the most important thing to me.

Useful. Works well. I love it and tell all my friends to go for it. Now days, if I happen to get on someone's computer that doesn't have it installed I just shriek at what a bad experience FB is without FB Purity. Come on CHROME...keep this current in the store!

I can't use Facebook without this extension! The people that run Facebook are so out of touch with what users want and this extension tries to implement things that should be standard. Want to not miss what people are posting on their feeds? Install this. Want to sort in recent posts first instead of seeing things from days ago? Install this. If you know what you want to see more than Facebook's algorithm thinks you want to see then install this. The problem is that Facebook keeps changing the way their website works and these poor app developers are trying to keep up. When something messes up with this extension it is usually a change at Facebook but I pop onto the FB Purity page and they're already working on fixing it.

Sponsored posts still showing; been a while now. Just uninstalled, cleared cache and reinstalled and still got sponsored posts. I like the app in general but this issue makes it half as useful.

Wow, my mood lifted when I looked at FB and I was back in the old days when it was simple and enjoyable. Thank goodness there are talented developers that can simplify our lives. I felt like I was assaulted with information overload every time I opened FB. I was going to delete my account, but this extension saved FB one account.

I have been FBPurity for a long time! It is the only way to use FB anymore. The filters are amazing at blocking politics and sports (or whatever you want to block). FB updates their code all the time, and some features quit working temprarily, but the Purity staff are very quick at updates. The 1st extension I put on any browser!

This extension is utterly amazing. It is free, which is mind blowing since the person who made it does it all on his own, and Steve gives so much of his time to constantly update it. I highly recommend it and then donating to his account if you use it. We need to support people like this who do so much with so little return.

Yes, this allows people to utilize FB as it was (supposedly) originally intended - as a social media platform. It circumvents whatever 'force' decided to make people the 'product' for their advertising agenda. Freedom is always worthy of appreication. Thanks FBP!

Amazing. Blocks stuff, and hides what it cant block, in facebook. And has feature that optimises your facebook settings to limit or block meta's ability to spam your newsfeed.

Fluff Busting purity puts joy back into the Facebook experience by not only hiding the platform's overused ads, but by allowing users to filter posts they see. That is an extraordinary feature to have in an election year to weed out the endless partisan bickering and political spam. It also lets me see who has unfriended me on Facebook so I can reach out and repair a potentially-broken relationship.

This is exceptional. It is the only thing that keeps me using Facebook because it removes the obstacles FB puts in place which prevent it being a useful/enjoyable experience. It allows me to keep up to date and miss far less of what I think is important (not what FB thinks is important). So much hard work goes into keeping this up to date. Utterly brilliant!

This is one of the best thing I ever downloaded off the Net in 25 years. I couldn't enjoy anymore with all those Sponsored links polluting my Facebook. If you're on Facebook, do NOT hesitate to get it. (Sometimes FB will alter its code, but FBP is on it and always finds a way to fix its own code to repair it)

This extension gives people a lot more control over what appears on Facbook. I don't think I'd bother with FB without it. If you use a browser to access Facebook, I really recommend trying it.

This extension helps me keep my sanity on Facebook in so many ways, from hiding obnoxious ad content to helping organize my feed in a way that makes sense to me, not to some algorithm. It is, in a word, amazing. It is, in more words, pretty easy to use, and technically free but you should really kick in a few bucks because it is definitely worth it.

This extension is awesome and the developer works very hard to keep the code up to date so that it can combat facebooks attempts to avoid it, they change their code frequently, especially when it comes to hiding the sponsored posts, so the extension has to change frequently as well to combat that, it takes a little time (of course, coding is not easy!) but its worth it!

Without this add-on, fb would be of absolutely no use to me at all. It allows me to continue using fb by minimizing the amount of "noise" I see.

This application is simply incredible! I would not still be a member of FB without it. It lets you take back control of the interface so you can read what YOU want to read, not just what an algorithm wants you to read. The developer is on top of every change FB makes to keep his product working as it should. If you use FB, you really must use FB Purity as well!

Facebook had become unbearable for me until F.B. Purity came along. At times, some features don't work temporarily because FB keeps battling to keep the annoying ads and sponsored sites, but people at FBP don't stop their work protecting us. Thank you for everything.

The extension works perfectly, if sometimes don't, that mean Meta changed some code. Only retards are unable to use it.

The creator of this is an absolute angel! Without FBP I'd never go on FB, but with it I'm happy to check in and see what's going on a few times a day. Thank you so much for relieving us of all the FB marketing stress and allowing us to enjoy the experience instead.

Downgraded the review to 4.9 *'s given the annoying modal popup about donating. Please don't disrupt the workflow, especially for people who have donated more than once! Can't you have a separate version for supporters? This extension indeed filters the fluff from the in-your-face-book web interface! Furthermore, the developer is dedicated to timely updates to circumvent innovations in the fluff-making machine! To top it off, there's a wealth of options to customize the display.

Must have to customize FB. I have been using it for years and I'd like to say that I am happy that I don't know what FB really looks like. I am using most options to show or hide things that FB doesn't let you choose.

Have tried many extensions to block the sponsored ads on Facebook Marketplace specifically but none of them worked successfully until I tried this extension. Very happy to see it block all the sponsored ads on Marketplace. Thumbs up from me and wish all the best to the developer to continue to strive and keep on constantly updating this extension to stay ahead of the sneaky ways Facebook finds ways to enable ads on Marketplace. ?????

This developer has made such a huge impact on the world by allowing some of us to curtail Facebook's terrible feed and algorithms. We can limit content to what we, the user, want to see and engage with. This extension has been well maintained for years now as well. Probably one of the most valuable extensions out there.

I've noticed lately when I log on to Facebook that the "Show logout button" does not show up as I have it set it to show up. When I refresh the page then it shows up. Kind of annoying.

This extension was fantastic, but unfortunately it no longer works with the latest upgrade by FB and hasn't worked for the last couple years. Hopefully we will get an update soon.

This blocks my entire facebook feed, not just adds. technically it works but...

Really liked this extension to customize Facebook until 11/22/21. Then, it stopped working. As long as the extension is turned on, the news feed in Facebook fails to load. This happens in Chrome, Vivaldi, and Opera browsers. Didn't try it in Firefox or Edge. Finally had to uninstall it on 11/23/21 so I could use Facebook again. Really disappointed.

I tried several extensions that claimed to block Facebook ads, and this is the only one that actually does reduce the number of ads I see. I love also the shortcut to hide posts, it makes it so much easier to get rid of whatever ads do sneak through. I'm so used to visually skipping past obvious ads that it was almost disconcerting to realize I could actually pay attention to almost every post I see in my feed..That's a really nice problem to have for a change! I might actually start checking Facebook again occasionally for real updates on how all my friends are doing.
