damn its weird that an actually helpful extension is put behind a paywall i get it takes some time for stuff like this but idk making an extension that used to be free and making it paid is just sketchy

Could potentially be good but mouse movement should be mapped to the left thumbstick by default, left click a button and right click b button. Too fiddly to be changing the defaults around for every game.

I hope you're aware charging for something like this is literally illegal. This was fine when it was free, and considering how you're charging now, it's not out of the question that Mr. Microsoft is going to send you a nice lawsuit. You wanted money? Then take it, just don't cry when you waste 10x what you earned. Like they say, you reap what you sow.

You can blame the developer for charging 4 dollars or you can blame the platform - I'll choose the latter. Xbox is the reason you are paying 4 dollars for this, because they themselves have yet to release anything similar to this. This extension works as promised and it isn't a keylogger, really what more can you ask for? Microsoft made 140 billion last year and they haven't built anything like this individual has, but they still charge you $5-$15/month for your subscription and you still pay it. Yet if a developer, who has potentially worked hours on end to provide this tool, asks for a one-time payment of $4 then they're in the wrong? Classic example of why we cannot have nice things. Thank you, David, you're a champion for the people whether they recognize it or not.

Hi David! When I opened the game, the thing on how to use it popped up. Then, every time I closed it, it opened up. I could not play the game at all. Please fix this or explain how to do it. the video did not help

Hey David i used this extension when it was free and i left a review that i was angry that you changed the price to 4 bucks but i now understand that your work is a life saver for many since controllers cost way more than 4$ and your giving it free for three days so keep it that way your work is awesome and i hope to code a version just for myself cause quite frankly i would charge more than 4 bucks and not give it away free, not that i am greedy or anything but that's just me. works pretty good for fighting games like KI and GG Strive because you don't need the right analog stick, it's good for a quick session where you don't wanna pull out a controller.

it's great! it takes a little while to find your sweetspot between the mouse sensitivity from the extension and the controller sensitivity in your game settings but after that it's ok. There is a tiny amount of chopiness but that's good enough! the comments on the youtube video also helped with the settings. For 3.99 it is well worth it, thank you david idol for the work!

I think this is a great extension. Works well, a little weird getting used to the keys, but at least you can customise it. :) I think the developer needs to be paid for his work and $4 is not that much of an ask for this. If you are unhappy with it, then go code it yourself and give it away for free. If you are really not willing to pay the $4 and claim that MS is going to "just add it" then wait for that day and go buy a controller. Good Job David. Keep up the good work.

it is pretty good and if you have trust and money and you use xbox cloud gaming that much this is maybe a good option but if your really long term just pay this for now and save up for controller to then just leave this extension. all though i would just suggest some type of ads rather than just having to pay 4 dollars and have a exclusive version on pateron or smth he owns and works on this extension so whatever pleases him. i will just be using a older version because i do not use xbox cloud gaming that much to justify this purchase nor do i trust this give my info. overall good job to the creator its just this paid decision i dont really know if the best idea.

Great extension. but the paywall is ridiculous. Most people used this extension because they couldn't afford a controller. You say its "only three dollars" but that's a lot for something Xbox can just add into cloud gaming and make your extension useless. At least make limited for free users or make us watch 2/3 ads before using, what a money grab, you just ruined your own career.

I have been using this extension for about a month now and I love it. It has worked great and is well worth the cost. The only thing is I wish there was a keybind to toggle the extension on and off. That would be a lot easier than having to go into the extension menu and toggling it manually.

This used to be a free extension and now you have to pay for this extension. I think this extension is good but I don't want to waste money on this. I wish you could make a free version of this, which include less options like only one keybind per button. The paywall is going to solve nothing and just makes users not use this extension.

It is good. It is at first free then it costs $4 but it is worth it. It can be laggy at times though.

Pretty good, you just have to get used to mouse movement acting like a controller. One thing that I realized was the faster you flick your mouse, the slower it moves the camera and if you move your mouse from medium to slow speed, then it moves the camera at a good speed.

Where is the menu button, I tried my best, pressing every button on my keyboard but none of them on default settings can access the menu button which is an xboy key that this extension lacks ??

Works exactly as advertised! Very easy to configure and the default mapping works well for most games. It's open source and reasonably priced.

I paid for it before the "paywall was required" like everyone was saying. It was well worth the money, especially to support the developer. You will get more hours than ever with the small amount paid.

I used it occasionally for months. It was clunky, but got me by for simple things. The issue is that it was free from the start with no indication that would change. Of course that's going to anger people. I'm not angry, just annoyed. I'll keep my cheap plug and play Xbox controller in my bag from now on.

I understand that the creator needed another method of keeping it up but paywalling the whole thing is not the way to do it and will create more harm than good. Worked amazing for a two days I had it! Until the paywall came along. I understand that the creator is struggling to keep this extension up and needs money, but it's frustrating for users as well. At least leave some features up, like being able to use it but being unable to change the keys or something.

Because of this curveball of a paywall, Can't play with friends no more and gotta cancel my subscription with xbox now.

It worked amazing, i finished doom eternal and many other games, but now the developer just did a nvidia geforce now by forcing us to buy it in a 3 days trial, not 1 month or 2. The add-on was okay until it lasted, i'm pretty dissapointed and i hope that this new pay wall they pulled gets removed or at least its a 1 month free, it's really frustating.

It's not working currently. Using ChromeOS and Chrome browser. So I get the welcome message bug where you click understand over and over but I also noticed as the mapping window comes up the 'use' button is grayed out. Bummer, app looks well made, close but no cigar.

It literally doesn't work. It's blocked mostly by paywalls and overall just doesn't work. Use an actual controller instead, it's much better than having to use this.

It isn't working anymore which sucks considering I lack a controller and the explanation pop up doesn't go away thus making it impossible to play any game such as Halo and so on. 2/10 that explanation thing just needs removed now because it's not needed and it's actually incredibly annoying to work with.

Not working as of now (for me anyway). "playing" is always blank, i tried numerous games.

works pretty well (playing Gears of War 2 is a whole lot easier than using controller). ignore the message about no controller detected, press launch anyway. You need to pin the kb and mouse extension (under extensions in top right) before you can access settings to change key bindings. interface to change the key bindings is a bit confusing at first, until you realise the second key binding is hidden until you edit. ability to share/load community profiles seems to be restricted behind a paid upgrade. main issues with free extension as follows: 1. moving mouse slightly is difficult (eg when trying to adjust aim slightly - it won't register a movement). Gears of War 2 has no dead zone setting to adjust in game. have tried changing mouse sensitivity setting up and down but went back to the default setting of 90. 2. xbox cloud gaming (beta) has noticably poorer graphics quality, and lower frame rate, than playing in game pass app. lots of missing textures/texture pop-in that the game pass w10 app doesn't suffer from. Gears of War 2 is still well playable though. It's great for now (thank you), but would be even better if MS added keyboard and mouse support as native in game pass w10 app.

Simple, smooth AF, effective -- just what I need to play with keyboard & mouse. THANK YOU for making something like this for the community, it works fantastic for me!!! Mouse movements are accurate. Absolutely love it. The ability to save different presets for each game makes it so, so easy to switch between and customize, really great value for the upgrade.

Hey this is a very good extension but what ever change you made to sensitivity has been messing up the game so please revert the change. It was fine before now it's kind of more delayed and less control in fps games.

recent bug: In Microsoft Edge it causes the ctrl+shift+arrow keys to not work in the whole browser.

Worked straight away for me, zero issues. Not perfect, particularly for shooters (fiddling with button assignments and sensitivity definately helps), but that's the limitations of emulating a controller, not the extensions fault per se. Definately something I'll use when wanting to game but not having a controller at hand.

It works like a charm and out of the box. the mouse sometimes not moving smoothly when aiming to targets, not sure if it's the mouse or the extension, but definitely love it and appreciate it.

Works like a charm. I'm just missing one thing - when I pres 'left stick' buttons it always 'flicks' the stick to the max, which means my character is always running. If I could press i.e. left alt to make it send 0.3 - 0.5 of the left stick flick it would be awesome. It works like this in the new Hitman series (left alt = walk slowly)

this is pretty good for an extension for xcloud, tho only problem im having is with shooters, when i move the mouse it drags around like its an actual thumbstick making it really hard to shoot or even move around, if theres a fix that work ill rate 5 star

Works amazingly! Though as a player of MLB The Show, I am hoping it is possible for an option to keep the left analog stick in place where the cursor is than instead of automatically resetting the position of the stick when not moving the mouse. Also being able to disable it and switch to a controller seamlessly would sorta help this problem. Thank you very much for this extension though!

it does work, but every time i need to switch tabs or pause the mouse tracking, i need to reopen the extension window and re-input all of the controls, because importing a preset just closes the window and doesn't actually work, and opening the window just removes any presets and resets the default one.

Loved it. It works automatically for almost all games. Also you can customise it as well. Although one feature i'd suggest to developer is to give up scroll and down scroll seperately. Also make some additional buttons which are combo of two buttons, that will help in Mortal kombat a lot. Thanks for your good work.

Works like a charm. Yes the sensitivity feels a bit off but its something thats caused due to emulating an analog instead of actual mouse input so cant blame the developer for that, they are doing their best. Hopefully, MS gives us native mnk support soon.

This is absolutely wonderful! It did not work right away after installation but restarting the browser solved it. Worked pretty flawless with most games. You are a life saver!

so far, i have installed this app extention, however, when i look at the extention, it does not give me the option to click options. As it stands Xcloud does not recognize that a controller is connected and therefore will not recognize any inputs. there is NO ability to map anything. If i could get it to work, i would GREATLY increase the rating depending on how well the mouse input works for this extention. I am an avid fps player, and since my laptop died not too long ago i have been using services such as this, but REALLY wish to use mouse and keyboard.

Excellent work on the extension. One minor comment: it would be great if the active profile could be shown in the popup. Currently, the default one opens up everytime.

I like it...it has so much promise. I like the way it's implemented into a browser extension, how to activate it in game and customizing the keyboard keybinds is super easy. The only problem is with mouse as right stick 'sensitivity' and mapping the mouse keys (if at all possible). I have both this and reWASD and other than the mouse controls... I like this better.

Thank god it's free. My only complaint is that it doesn't work for Halo Infinite. Other wise, I can't complain. I'm not dropping money for some controller when this does the job just fine. Work out the ginks for Halo Infinite and boom, you got your self the best thing ever.

I'm amazed something like this exist. Very useful to have when I don't have my controller nearby. I've only used this extension on Train Sim World 2, which doesn't really need much input. I can imagine it wouldn't be much fun using this extesion playing a 1st person shooter. As others have said, using the mouse as a joy stick is very janky unsmooth. I'm sure there's a technicaly reason why it's like that though! As I said, it works perfect for my needs.

I really like this extension! This makes xcloud really fun to use with keyboard and mouse compatibility. To make this better, I would add binds of popular games like Forza built in with the extension to save time. Thanks for this great extension!

this is a fantastic extension and works just like I wanted it to. Any issues I had where more in of Xbox's servers and whatnot but I did find that the more buttons I pressed at any given time would make the video input lag harder. So still can't manual a car in Forza, but at least i can drive a car with just my laptop! thank you kind sir!

This works well on PC for me. I tried it on Kiwi browser for Android (allows extensions) and it almost seems like it wants to work. However the second 'click to enable' dialog can't be dismissed on clicking for some reason (with a Bluetooth mouse, keyboard and SN30Pro controller attached to a Lenovo tablet). If that was solved, it would probably be one of the few, if not only, ways to use kb and mouse on xCloud on Android Really appreciate the work done here, regardless. Thankyou

Fantastic Chrome extension for Xbox Cloud Gaming. This is a great way to experience Xbox games via your keyboard. The only thing that kills it is the lag. MS should adopt this/integrate into Xbox Cloud Gaming.

can't get it to work at all, it's enabled then once it goes back in to game none of the button configs work? was really looking forward to playing m/k using the cloud.

This is one of the best chrome extensions I ever had. I love how i was able to play halo infinite on xcloud with my keyboard and mouse. The only suggestion I have is to make the mouse movement less like a controller. By that I mean making the mouse moving smoother. If its not posisble, i understand since i guess it is emulating a controller. Also, there is no menu button for me to change the settings in game for halo? Thank you for making this!

It works pretty good, on both Edge and Chrome on my Mac. However, if I'm in full screen, there's no way I can use my controller without completely uninstalling the extension in both browsers.

pretty impressive chrome extension, I had a lot of input lag while playing but im pretty sure that was due to my connection/ the service, and i dont think it was the fault of this extention

For it being free as well as quick and easy to install and get right into using it it is fantastic you really cannot complain in that regard. Until Microsoft add native support I genuinely don't think you are going to get better than this. However for FPS games such as Halo Infinite the aiming still feels very stiff, like you move the mouse and the camera still moves at quite a hard straight line as if you are tilting the analog stick, it doesn't feel natural at all. This is most likely due to the fact that yes it is still running off of an Xbox console and you are still just tricking it to think your K+M is a controller. By no means is this the developers fault and heck, it may even be I've got some incorrect settings (though I did try fiddling with all the look sensitivities and what not) but man, it is rough for a fast pace shooter like Halo. But again, until native support is made this is much better than nothing and applaud the dev for such a simple to use and free tool.

I cannot believe how well this works. I have limited use of my left thumb and using a controller is difficult for me. I've been waiting and hoping for Microsoft to add KBM support to Xbox Cloud Gaming and here it is for free by an independent developer. Definitely seems to be safe too, did not trigger any virus or malware alerts. It was ridiculously easy to download and install, was playing Halo Infinite with KBM in literally 5 minutes. Definitely recommend.

It's terrible to use a mouse especially for aiming. There is no way to use both left and right shoulder at a same time.

A little Leery on and extension that can capture you key inputs. seems legit for now I hope the developer is honest and keeps it honest. THIS REALLY WORKS! I really appreciated that someone has finally done this for us! Keep it LEGIT PLEASE DEV!!! There are a lot of crooked people out there please don't be one of them. :D

FINALLY keyboard and mouse on xcloud! Super clean, seamless integration into browser that allows me to customize all my key bindings for the games I want to play in xcloud. It's also super convenient when I don't have my controller handy...I just love it!
