Very easy to use for screen recording and screen shots. The annotation options are great. I only use the free version and that's good enough for me.

This is the best screenshot you will ever find. You can screenshot it, crop it and download in the form of .png file or. pdf file. Extremely easy to use it.

Great Tool! The resizing was I needed the most since traditional build-in screenshots from Windows produced a one-size fits all kind of sizing and not exactly from the size I originally took. This tool solves this sizing accuracy by providing the editing of width and height accordingly

A revelation! Does what it says on the tin. Easy to use. I like both the different snapshot options (full page, visible only, selection) and the built-in drawing/editing capabilities.

Incredibly useful, one of my only must have extensions. Even the free version is amazing. They don't annoy you with upsells either. Hope it's sustainable enough for them to maintain for years to come. I feel guilty that I don't have to pay for something that's so good.

I was trying to record some game play, everything was going good, until i tried to view the footage. It kept on loading and loading in an endless loop. It never stopped loading. How do i fix this????

I've been using this extension for about a year and I love it. I do a lot of screen capturing and it's very helpful for me to be able to screenshot different things for inspiration, interactions, and patterns. Legit, never had an issue with this extension. I use it on all my profiles and wouldn't even bother to recommend another version. I've tried many, but this is seriously the best one out there!

All the features are great! I like that I can choose how much of the page to capture. The ability to add text and highlight is also great. Just has a few issues capturing when there is a overlay on the webpage - if that got fixed it would be a 5 star product!

Have been using for a long time now. It does continue to get better and most importantly it takes screenshots and screen recordings very well even in many complicated settings like web applications with javascript scrolling. The editor is easy to use for quick markups and shares and the history when linked to a cloud storage service like google drive is a lifesaver. Highly recommend.

Great snipping app

I've been using awesome screenshot for years - the newer version is fine, but the layered approach to use features to add to the screenshot is another step vs before the newer version where features can be added asap. i.e. arrows, border, etc.

Can't change download folder. No dark mode. Downloads only webm.

I have been loving this extension. I'm a blogger and it helps me create awesome and engaging screen shots fast. It works great on Chrome and I also use Firefox and it works well on that platform as well.

Wow this is amazing. Been using SnagIt, but sharing videos and screenshots was such a pain. Not with this, so easy, no need for dragging files around or organizing files in my computer anymore, can just copy/paste screenshots, share videos using a link, and rename/organize files right in the program. Everything is just so much easier with Awesome Screenshot, definitely highly recommended. I use a lot of screenshots/videos in my quality control position (and I also write help articles) so you can take my word for it.

This is by far my favorite Screenshot App. It makes it easy to mark up anything in a browser and provide clear instructions. The ability to make selections, capture a full screen or just the visible part makes it really useful.

Its very handy for capturing screenshots for customer comminication. A picture is worth a 1000 words

I've been using this extension for years. Rarely have I had a problem. Does exactly what you need it to do and does it well.

New update is terrible for UI, have no idea why they removed the ability to add in customizations to the "Selected Area" option and and instead have to take a screenshot of the entire page, then crop the area I want before I can add in edits to the photo. Just a completely unnecessary step

This has made our team's lives so much easier. When we are testing new features, we can easily capture bugs, share screenshots of other product features we like from competitors, and my computer no longer looks like a teenage girl's vision board.

Used to a really great extension. Then they changed to forcing you to pay beyond 100 screenshots, even for the most basic functions. And their pricing is ridiculous. $60/year for the basic level. Don't waste your time. You'll really like it and then all of a sudden, they cut you off.

This tools is terrific for marking up screen shots and making short videos ... I use it a LOT to help customers when when they have questions about our app. I can make a 30 sec video and send it to them faster than I can type all the words to explain it in test !!

Awesome app, helps you so much when developing learning material and capturing an entire screen without having to manually stitch multiple screenshot together. I just don't know if the feature is there, but how do you capture different scrollable parts of a screen. So if a tab has multiple frames and each frame needs to be captured separately, how do you choose which scrollable frame to capture?

Am I the only one that it shows that you have to "Share the video" and when I clicked Share your video. It dosent work and I cant edit/upload it to anywhere.

Once it was great but now it is horrible with inconsistencies in the end screenshot. Sites with scrolling header like google search, shows up header in end screenshot if the scrolling screenshot is taken with this addon. Told the team 2 years ago but since it is same. I wonder what updates they release. Also, taking screenshot of system or google controlled pages is next to impossible with this addon. I don't see any benefit in using this anymore with such bugs.

It's really good but I don't like that you have only 5 minutes to record then the recording ends by itself and you have to pay for it in order to record longer videos. At least give a warning or something. Overall, really good extention and I love using it.

5 Minutes maximum recording time at once. After 5 minutes new window is asking you where to download the file - by default on Cloud, click the Cloud to rather select Local computer.

Best screen recording & screenshot capture app I've used. I now have it installed in multiple Chrome profiles, and share a login so all my presets are saved as well as my captures, no matter where I capture from. I upgraded to the Pro version to be able to record in high resolution and not have restrictions on number of videos saved etc. I don't regret it. The "tab" capture, microphone capture are perfect. Annotation tools for static screenshots are great. And even some basic video editing features. This extension does everything I need, consistently, and does it well. The user interface is easy to understand and the options in the settings are great as well. I'm a fan.

When you've reached your limit, they don't tell you that you have. You then record a 5 minute video, and it tells you that you need to upgrade in order to share it. I could pay for it, though I don't think it is as feature rich as other solutions. Wasted 5 minutes of my life that I won't get back... not recommended.

Really great! Useful tool with plenty of editing/customizing options. The only thing that's missing (or that I can't find) is the option to autodownload the screenshot after hitting "capture" without any additional windows.

Been using Awesome Screenshot for years. It makes it easy to capture and annotate anything on the web.

Have been using it as a paid customer for well over a year now. It is pretty good for when I conduct interviews and during meetings so that I can refer to parts that were key. I would, however, wish that they would include a time stamp feature so that I can find these 'nuggets' a lot easier later on. Also, another great feature would be for it to integrate with my Google Calendar so that it could automatically prompt me whether I would like to record the meeting. Otherwise, good job AwesomeScreenshot!! (Feel free to reach out to me if you'd like more input--this is from a person that. is paid to interview users for product and service improvements for a living!!!)

In the past I used Awesome Screen Recorder for free. I had several accts with them, all freebies and I really liked using it. But when the acct reaches a certain limit of captures, it will lock the acct, as far as downloading goes, till a monthly or yearly fee is paid. ( I believe that's correct). That's ok. I get It. Even that didn't keep Me away for long. I gravitated right back here, like it was meant to be! Now I am a paying Member and LOVE IT!! It comes with Unlimited Captures and Editing, of Both Videos and Screen Shots! Unlimited Downloads of Your Finished Video Or Image Captures! It's simple to use Interface makes it one of the easiest to use Screen Recorders out there, and the Quality is so Good I don't even have to say anything about it! Sign Me, Satisfied!!

One word, Awesome! Almost all needed features are included in the free subscription. The new shortcut key to either screenshot the visible part or the full page that goes straight to editing the images is really handy!
