This is a great app. Only issue I have is when I raise up the volume I always get a popping noise. But I havent done my research and learned how to use an EQ correctly before. So after I setup correctly I'll come back and report. But if you have a Chromebook, its almost a must own

Works to boost audio but with some pages (mostly Plex) it causes an audio sync delay

Great extension! I gave 4/5 stars because enabling it with some embedded videos removes the ability to make the video fullscreen - if you can fix this bug, it will be perfect!

9/10! Highly recommend! My only complaint (and it's very tiny) is that there's no way to keep it on by default, you have to click the extension icon to turn it on with every tab/window. That said, the extension works as intended and works every time! I Love it!!!

I like it however when u start your browser this app is not loading automatically you must press the extension button to start your equalizer preset :S this should be fixed

It would get a 5 star if it had the feature that protects your ears when you pause music with earphones or headpones so your ears don't pop. Kinda hurts if you're listening to music with bass.

I have been using this extension for 1+ year and it made music so much more enjoyable for me. There is only one thing that gets annoying but is still worth it - having to uninstall then install again. Sometime that extension 'freezes' and you can't hear anything while it's activated.

Very detailed and doesn't distort sound output (as 2 others highly rated ones do). Slightly difficult to work with, but I love it.

BEST THING EVER

This is the best EQ I have found for a PC. I own JRiver Media Center software and this EQ is much more responsive than the one that comes with JRiver. With a JBL Charge 4, this brings out all the highs and mids I was missing - just amazing work!

Very effective and easy to use. Immediate feedback so you can fine adjust your audio. Can increase volume way above the default level making even inaudible streams usable. Fantastic multiband graphic equallizer that helps make disturbed or low volume audio intelligible. Especially useful for the spoken word.

I was watching few video on youtube which has low volume originally but I wanted to hear loud and clear. I searched and finally found this amazing extension. It made huge difference for me to hear the originally lower voice video into loud and clear voice. I recommend this extension to everyone who wants to increase the voice.

Very good equalizer that does attenuate or boost the frequencies unlike the other cheap functioning graphic equalizers. Definatley an addon for the high end audiophile. Works brilliantly with Bowers and Wilkins PX7's One only big draw back is the buffer lag that is present, would be good if the buffer size could be changed to regain the lip sync when people are talking. I thought it was a cpu related issue but turns out not to be the case. Maybe the developer could add a buffer size or delay time control ? If that is fixed id be tempted to donate to this project.

PROS: Very easy to use, good audio reproduction, good layout, accurate spectrum visualizer CONS: Occasional crackle (could depend on what headphone/speaker you use), Volume feature is useless and occasionally will make left/right drivers imbalanced, hard to tell which section (low-bass, mid-bass, mid-treble) is which after you EQ it Overall, I think this EQ is very well put together, although with it's cons it will be a great choice for those who need to EQ a video or some music. (Okay for monitoring music, but don't expect supra-accurate details like reference headphones)

Very little adjustment was needed to fine tune the frequency volumes, and it was nice to try a parametric eq instead of the usual graphic kind which always takes me way longer to get just right. But it didnt take long for the music to start clipping at consistent intervals, to the point where it was detracting from the song bc it was so noticeable. Such a shame that disabling the eq was the only way to make that stop... don't have time to play around with troubleshooting the cause of the problem from the extension... but I wish I didnt have to go on another eq hunt for my chromebook's imbalanced output. Back to earbuds for now ?

Perfect for customizing. Appreciate being able to Save equalizations, which then default on the next time using the site. The Volume control is welcomed.

it broke for no reason

So far so great. My CyberPowerPC laptop came with the worst sound I've ever heard. (expensive gaming laptop, too) Barely audible, and what you can hear sounds like a tin can the size of a thimble. Very disappointing. This extension makes it listenable, which is the best you can hope for with these bottom of the barrel tiny speakers. I am really happy with the extension, :) but not cyberpower. :(

Parametric EQ?!?! Hells to the YES! This is awesome. A true musicians EQ. Works great and I love the ability to scan frequencies so easily to find the troublesome one. Now even cheap recordings on YouTube can sound great...thank you!

Best EQ so far. Level monitor feature is awesome. Sad that it hasn't been updated for a long time. The site permission control is annoying as you have to unpack it and manually edit manifes.json to automatically make it work on sites like spotify. I know its not that big deal to klick the extension icon but if I forget to do so before klicking "play" then the volume is way too loud as I have lowered the middle frequencies in the plugin so that the lower tones can shine better. Other equalizers have the lowest slider somewhere at 60Hz which is way too high for a 15" subwoofer. I like to tone down 50-100Hz and boost 0-50 even though you dont necessarily hear it but with big enough speaker you definitely can feel it.

It's a great equalizer I really enjoy it. There is a problem with the audio but plugging it in to the charger fixes it. I don't know if that will for non-portable PC's, but I will check that out for myself or someone else can. Keep up the work.

This is by far My ABSOLUTE #1 FAVORITE EQ/VOLUME BOOSTER. I've been a dj/music producer/EVENT SOUND SETUP manager For almost 14 years now and have been to ALOT of concerts, EDM FESTIVALS, Raves, Amphitheatres, and METAL shows. THIS IS THE ONLY extension i'd Recommend that is available on the chrome web store. (that i have found) not saying there isnt others like it that work, but it's definitely been my top choice since 2019-2020 when i found it. Im really happy with the audio quality and it truly does what it says 100%. Other EQ/volume Boosters i've used always end up either blowing my speakers or just dont really do anything but distort and or muffle sound quality and really sucks when your brand new laptop or phones speakers are blown permanently just after one single use of a faulty Extension or app. thank the maker of this program and i hope if you've read this entire rating, then you can understand that it's legit.

GREAT!!! I love the unique 2-dimensional equalizer that Ears uses. If you could add a pitch shifter, it would be essentially perfect.

By far the best Equalizer/Spectrum Visualiser for any browser. If used by someone who knows what their doing, it can improve music and online videos. Especially if someone has their Gain turned up way too high on a mic. If only it was available for other browsers as well.

This is the most useless equalizer I have ever seen. There is no way to know what values the equalizer is using as nothing is shown when you're dragging the dots. As someone who likes to use AutoEQ results this extension is completely useless since you can't see what values are being set. It's really sad that this is considered the best EQ extension for Chrome since its interface is such a joke.

See, the equalizer works, but at the same time I kept hearing lots of crackles as if my aux was being twisted. Not to mention the music would have these weird losses of treble every minute. Overall, it's very mid tbh, if those issues didn't exist, I would've rated higher. But I would wish for a fix within the crackles pls.

Quite literally perfect! The only suggestions I would like to see implemented is audio effects like reverb. and a Black/Amoled theme would be AMAZING! UI Color customization would be EVEN BETTER

The decibel limit of amplification in Winamp and the premium limitations of RealPlayer led me to chrome extn. And I am done hunting for with both amplification and equalizing clarity that my ears are obsessed with. After I tried this extn, I uninstalled around 8 apps that I was trying for equalizing chrome audio. People don't need expensive earphones with such tools. You made my day Kevin!! Hope you are not aware, people might be groping for DONATE button ;)

It's great except it doesn't work when watching certain Netflix videos. Sometimes works when EQ-ing a tab when watching Netflix but often there is no sound at all unless I stop EQ-ing the tab. It cuts the sound off and there's nothing I can do. I notice that the problem often happens if I watch older videos like Star Trek. Please fix and I'll change my rating.

it needs to be praised but it is old and slow, due to non-maintenance?? Just need to find the gd curve like chords tho as it makes less responsive than those EQs with no filters , which is the why this EQ successful in ruling over so-broadened spectrum lol

Great EQ with decent UI

This extension works surprisingly well, although it is a little unstable between 15-500 htz when i boost it too much. I look forward to that being fixed.

One of my favorite Chrome extensions! Makes high res music sound even more enjoyable, via EQ finetuning, regardless what sound system I'm using. Such fine control of the EQ!! By far the best I've come across, compared to all the EQ apps I tried. I just love running my Sound Cloud and Spotify tabs through this extension, they sound so clean n crispy! Make sure to KEEP YOUR LAPTOP PLUGGED IN, to avoid audio STUTTERING/CRACKLING. And send some $ flow to the devs for their fantastic work.

it just WOW!!

This extension has been perfect for me save for one thing. Sometimes it will mute the audio completely, if you check the visualizer the wave doesn't even move. But you can fix this buy going into settings > extensions and switching it on and off again.

One of the best eq´s i´ve ever used

Amazing. Easy to control, fun to play with, works perfectly anywhere, visualizes the frequency distribution very nicely, allows you to set presets, and improves outgoing audio a ton when EQing is required.

Nice app many audio settings like amplifying and equalizer set it once and just click the icon and Voilà works with all my websites Please add a keyboard shortcut for fast users like me :)

Not sure whats happening but when enabling this extension the youtube video audio instantly goes silent no matter what i do even when im doing the same process that made it work before like a few weeks ago

This is literally the best EQ that I've found on the internet. I run sound for a lot of different places for many years and I've wanted something like this on computer. I works just like the EQ would on any of the newer digital sound boards like the X32, M32, and the 32S. This thing works amazing and I love the fact that you can control multiple tabs at once and you can save presents just like on a soundboards. If I could I would give it a 6 out of 5. I highly recommend and will continue to use this extension. I wouldn't change anything! Thanks for this great extension.

The best EQ extension I've found and I've tried -so- many. Seriously reliable, the ability to adjust the sound via the individual dots plus the purple-toned ones that arch over highs or lows (or a combo of the two) really allows for aton of control and will let you get as specific or non-specific as appropriate for the audio. Thank you for making this! <3

Audio was great before but after the chrome update the equilizer always gives buzzing sound and breaks the sound every 5 seconds.....

very good eq, but sometimes stutters. needs fix. after buggin stops it will be perfect.

PRO: Hands down the best eq on the chorme web store. It's pretty much limitless and has a master gain, so if you kinda know what you're doing, this plugin is for you! Also, the spectrum visualizer is super helpful. CON: Sometimes, when clicking on the icon (top-right ingoogle chrome), the chrome window will change its location and size to an older state. It's kind of annoying, but not a deal breaker.

The search for an equalizer that actually delivers what it aims comes to rest. PERIOD. This actually makes me prefer listening to music on my PC more now than ever. Audiophile's delight!

Definitely one of my favorite extensions especially when volume is super low on a video or just to visualize the frequencies! Totally recommend just make sure to use with caution
