I try a lot of tools and add-ons. Notes is one I've used from day one. A keeper for sure that helps keep me paper-free.

Nothing "sticky" about this. When you're viewing a URL that you already created a note from there's NO indication that a note already exists. And in the file it saves in Google Drive it does not even add the URL it came from for context (so that you can search it later). So there's literally NOTHING "sticky" about this.... other than that you get an icon in the toolbar you can click. That's pretty much every note app anyways.

Awesome app. I use it at work to take notes on a web page and LOVE how it automatically saves in my Google Docs. Great job.

So handy to clip items from web and have them stored automatically in your Google Drive to check out / action later. Better than a more permanent service like Tasks or a ToDo manager where all you require is a quick note but not the rest of their, potentially time-taking, features. Tip: Create a shortcut on your smartphone's home screen to the drive/notes folder for quick access like the browser extension. Very useful !

Used to use it for a couple of years, I think, in the Chrome-based browser Vivaldi but recently it stopped syncing with Drive, and doesn't even respond when I click "Sign In With Your Google Account". This is sad, as it was the best of these kinds of extension. No other extensions have stopped working, including others with Drive syncing. Gave it a month or so and tried again but still the same. No one else is complaining but... that doesn't help me so... sorry but can no longer rate this highly.

Nifty, light, has a spell checker. Just what I need for short notes and editing small bits of text. Recommended.

Using this extension to take notes while attending an online class. I love that it syncs to my drive, but I don't love how text formatting doesn't stick. For example, I'll bold keywords in my notes. Every time I bold a different section of my notes, all of the previous bolding disappears. I end up re-formatting my notes in drive, which takes extra time, and that kinda defeats the purpose.

Fantastic easy to access note taker! I love this so much it has truly solved so many problems I have had keeping up with my notes. I do wish I could go back to regular spacing after creating a bulleted/numbered list, or be able to create a more detailed outline within my notes. It seems like its all or nothing with the bulleted list, as in pressing 'enter' always generates a bullet point that cannot be erased unless you want to erase all of the bullet points as well. Lastly, there is no 'undo / redo' function that I am aware of so be careful not to delete any notes by accident! I'm not sure if the shortcuts work the same as they do in google docs, nonetheless, this ext still gets 5 stars!

This is by far the best for pasting the things you want to save. it really helps in cutting down it takes to complete a task. its so easy to use and no setup involved. i recommend this to everyone.

Wonderful extension! The most beneficial feature of this ext is that it saves your notes straight to your drive automatically. Also I can highlight the text, but it disappears sometimes when you reopen it. Also it takes some time for opening. May be my computer is slow.

Notes got automatically deleted. This should not happen.

What a great Chrome extension! I needed a new note taking app that works well on a Windows and Chromebook (previously used OneNote with no complaint, except the online version is really really slow). I now love the flexibility of using the extension for reading and quick edits - and using the full functionality of Google Docs with more extensive editing. Great job!

Works great so far. No complaints. Simple solution for keeping track of notes on multiple computers.

very handy and does what it says. Limited text formatting, but at least what formatting it does works (Evernote could use a lesson from this dev)

I find it very useful. You can access your notes with a simple click, add or delete them, and it works across all devices (given you are using your account on multiple devices and not on a guest account). I find myself using it nearly every day during my planning periods and meetings at school.

Meets 99% of my notepad needs, always there when I need to write a quick note. 12/02/2021: I have gotten so much use from this extension. I do most if not all of my notes here. Whenever the app loses the path to the data I simply do a quick "Remove From Chrome" and then add it back. If you go to "Manage Extensions" and add it back then (almost) instant data. I want to thank Elijah for making this great little app available. And it does NOT need any other features.

This is awesome. I would pay for it. If it had ability to nest docs in folders I think it would replace all other note taking apps I've used. Pinning the window to the side or something like that it'd be even better. But for a free app, 0 complaints.

Nearly brilliant. If only the sorting of the notes on left would STAY re-ordered when dragged. They jump back to 'last modified'. Alphabetical would be much better. Beyond annoying . . .

I'd give this five stars if it allowed you to select a custom file for a new note. Going in and dragging and dropping is a pain to keep organized. Also, and this doesn't impact my rating, but I'd love the ability to handwrite with a tablet. I don't want to even have it converted to text. But maybe just using Canvas and saving an image that overwrites every few seconds if there was a change.

I've been looking for a note extension for a long time and this is by far the best I've found. however I'd like to suggest a few improvements: 1- I can't drag-and-drop images into the text area because the notes panel disappears when lost focus, however it is possible if I tweak the CSS options and prevent the panel from hiding. I think it is necessary to implement a pin option for the panel 2- Collaborate with Google Docs Offline will improve speed, currently you have to wait for notes to be downloaded each time browser starts 3- text formatting does not get saved which is a little annoying (minor bug)

handy tool , simple and lightweight sometimes it breaks the text formatting such as bold and italic marks but it doesn't affect on the original file saved on google drive so this is just a matter of view error. My suggestions for improvements: 1- It would be great if you could Lock your notes in order to prevent unwanted edits or alternatively making the google docs Version Naming option available in the notes panel. 2- I'd like to be able to pin the panel so it doesn't hide when lost focus

Wow.... I've been searching for some time for a note taking app/extension that allows me to organize my life, be easily accessible, formatted properly, have an elegant cloud backup solution, and just plain works. From chicken scratch quick notes, to elaborate documents this app seems to cover all of the bases. This is the only thing I've ever stumbled upon that covers all of the bases. This app allows me to finally rid myself of the notebook and pencil that has sat beside my computer for years. Very nice work!

Great extension, makes taking notes while on hangout or a call quick and easy. Would be even better if can change font settings, window size/location, and be able to tag people or link files while in the pop-out screen.

I find it very useful.

Works the best from all the Notes app I've tried. The Google Drive integration is seamless (for the most part). It quickly saves the changes and it shows up on different browsers quickly. The title doesn't always show the first line only (maybe a crlf, lf, cr issue?). You also can't sync reliably if you edit in Google Drive (docs). These are minor issues but doesn't affect my day to day use of the Notes.

Works great until all my notes disappeared. I re-wrote everything and 1 month later it happened again. I woke up one Moring and all of the notes were gone and the notes folder in G-Drive was empty!

This is by far the most useful plugin for Chrome I have (most don't make the grade), apart from maybe adblockers. I wouldn't be without this in Chrome, allows me to take notes of useful thoughts wherever I am (work) for later.

Great! This is exactly what I needed to take notes synced across different computers. Only problem is formatting gets wiped. If I make something bold it changes back later.
