Following the 'extracting article content' message an empty white box shows up and nothing is saved to feedly. When hovering over the box it says 'feedly wants access to this site' but there's no way to provide it. Entirely unusable.
Most of the time it doesn't even do anything.
It's broken and does not do anything anymore.
Works not bad , but not very well
I have Feedly Pro+ and save a lot of articles to Read Later or my boards for my research. Could do with speed improvements. The occasional need to add the feed first to add an article into my Read Later or boards is quite annoying. Not like Pocket. Also, would be great to have an icon indicator, or notification when adding, to know if the article is already in my boards. Sometimes, I end up adding the same article multiple times.
This extension updated scant months ago does not work, however the several years-old extension Save to Feedly Board by the same dev works?
Doesn't work.
This extension does not work at all. It briefly flashes "Extracting article content" and then shows a small empty box.
Installed the extension, tried to login, and got notification "Failed to login with code." Ironically, I have Feedly open in a tab and already logged in. Edit: I logged out and logged in again (in Feedly, not from Mini), and the extension didn't ask for login again. But, when I tried to add an article, the extension showed "extracting article content," and then nothing (just showing a small empty box).
Hello, Is there no longer support for this extension? I have pro feedly and I'd like to add content to my boards with this extension. All I see when I click the green icon is a blank empty box after clicking. Is there a fix for this?
Just downloaded it today but it doesn't work well. On some pages a tiny blank square pops up and then nothing. Disappointing :( It used to work well years ago.
Not working anymore, just get a blank box :/
Has quit working again, Get nothing but a blank box when I click on the extension.
Guys, you really don't wish to be contacted, especially by free plan users. There is a bug that the chrome feedly mini and "save to feedly board" extensions cannot save a link to a PDF file. The first only shows "Extracting article content..." and the 2nd "Error: Sorry, we could not find an article on this page!". Both the latest and under chrome 87 on Windows 10.
Says to login, I login, it opens feedly, click on the extension at the top, continues to say to login to continue. Basically a waste of space right now.
Most of the time when I try to use this on the desktop version of Chrome, I only get the "Follow in Feedly" option, not the "Save to Board" option. I want to be able to 'clip' articles, not follow every single site that posts one article that I want to read.
I used to be able to save to my "Read Later" section but now I only have the option to save to boards, and "Read Later" does not seem to be one of them... could that be changed back? I don't use Boards but I do use "Read later" a lot!
Does not work when adding RSS from YouTube. For example https://www.youtube.com/user/JenniferESL/videos
doesn't work as expected anymore.
I hate to give the one extension that I used to rely upon basically every 2 minutes, but... what recent update basically broke it for me. Or am I the only one who just keep getting "Extracting article content..." when trying to launch it?
It used to be my favorite extension. I would click on this button many times a day to get to my Feedly list. Now, it has changed into Add to Feedly button. Without anyone asking or giving an option to choose, or even a configuration option in the settings. A big major fail. I will be uninstalling this since I did not ask for that functionality to be forced upon me, oh and the functionality doesn't work really with anything but the simplest websites, and even then not well.
After the most recent update, clicking the button no longer takes you to Feedly. It's a dumb pop-up that extracts information from the page you are viewing to populate within Feedly. I hate it.
Loved it until the recent update. I want to be taken to my feeds not asked if i want to follow or add the webpage i am currently on. This needs to be an option not forced on people.
I liked this extension until some time last week ... now it became essentially useless. Instead of taking me to the feedly website it opens a small message box saying "Extracting article content ..." which never finishes. What's the point?
Im sure this extension used to take me to feedly when pressed with the other options appearing as a overlay button in the bottom right. How can I get the extension to take me to feedly on click or has that feature been removed completely?
This used to take me to my feeds, now it adds stuff that i dont want instead. Where is the old version that did what i actually installed it to do?
I hate the new update. Clicking on the icon used to take me to my feeds, but now it tries to add the site to Feedly. Which renders it useless, as 95% of the pages I'm on are not feeds and as such cannot be added to Feedly.
why doesnt it take me to my feed when i click the extension??? Please add this option back!!
Used to be great, click it and it took me right to my feed, which is what I wanted. It had a nice little icon that would appear on pages that you could use to add that page to your feed if desired. Apparently they did some kind of update and now clicking the toolbar icon just keeps trying to add whatever page I'm on to my feedly instead of actually taking me to my feed. Pretty much has rendered it useless.
does nothing , don't save feed to see later on for new posts
Hi Feedly team. The start page for Feedly Mini has an incorrect URL its using https://feedly.com/i/global.must instead of https://feedly.com/i/label/global.must Using the prior gives error "Oops Page Not Found.
Does not work as advertised. It only links to the feedly website.
feedly Mini doesn't appear, not even once... Update: So it turns out you have to go to this page to install relevant chrome extensions for feedly - https://feedly.com/i/support/extensions I think they moved away from "feedly Mini" in favor of their other extensions "Save to Feedly Board" and "Follow Feed".
Does not work as stated. There is no button to add to feedly.
Used to be good but now hardly ever appears in sites and the Add Feed button, which is the most useful, never appears. The new extensions take up too much toolbar space, so I would prefer this to work as it used to.
It doesn't do what it says it does
Epic Fail - Avoid, Do Not Waste Your Efforts. Feedly Mini does not clip content, as advertised. Feedly mini is only a link to your Feedly account. Why would you need another link? I need a clipper that saves content to my Feedly boards for sharing.
Not the same as Follow Feed What if you just want to add content ie a web page or link to a collection? Follow Feed no can do, just adds entire feeds Bring back the mini!
This appears to only behave as a bookmark - no actions from page I'm on... don't get it?
Nice and very efficient tool. The add-on is actually just a bookmark - thus not too fancy.
The bar doesn't show up.
The bar doesn't show up so I am unable to add feeds!
The bar doesn't show up anymore since the latest update, therefore, it's pretty useless...
This extension used to be awesome. Now, it only shows up on a handful of blogs, and when it does, the (+) is not available. I have to had copy the URL and go to the feedly website to subscribe to 99% of the sites I want to, which makes this extension pointless.
very efficient :)
Would like to be able to change services it saves to - trying to get away from Evernote.
Doesnt work for a lot of sites, nice interface though
By design, it doesn't appear on HTTPS sites (https://blog.feedly.com/2014/08/30/feedly-mini-is-back-chrome/). With the move to have all sites on HTTPS, this extension will slowly be rendered useless. They really need to reconsider this decision.
Simply does not work, it is impossible to login.
Save for LAter isn't working. It always asks me to login, and after I do, nothing happens.
Does not play well with auto-paging type extensions.
This really needs an update. It doesnt display on all sites (I only consider articles)
Doesn't work reliably. Icon does not appear on all sites, even if not blacklisted. When it does work, it works good.
No longer seeing the floating feedly icon in browser.
not a browser extension, just a link to the web site
Must Have.
Anytime I try to click the + to add a site the + sign disappears and doesn't let me do it. As soon as I put my pointer on it, its gone.
I just cannot see it
love it, vewy clean, convenient, and efficient.
No button, but just a shortcut to feedly! Better alternatives out there!
pretty much worthless to add any page ... Feedly is good, but it is really a hassle to add pages.
The extension is great and worked very well till today. Now whenever I expand the feedly bar after a few seconds the feedly bar is greyed out and the bar becomes unresponsive. I do not have Chrome canary installed at the moment but I will install and test the extension there as well just in case some other extension is clashing with the feedly toolbar. I'm giving the extension 4 stars because i'm sure this is a temporary glitch which will get fixed.
This would be perfect if there is +1 button... Thx <3~!
Infinite sign-in loop using Google. The sign-in process appears to work, but I am prompted to sign in even after the sign-in window closes. Unusable until this is fixed.
Wonderful extension. For those cannot find the grey feedly icon on a page bottom right, Don't panic. Just do a clean refresh on the page as Ctrl+F5/Command+R, you should see the little icon appear. Also pls note the feedly has a blacklist of website that will not show its icon. Right click the mini icon and see the options for yourself.
THANK JEEBUS THIS IS BACK. ❤
It is not working in chrome
***Edit-The original review was a long time ago when the ios app was new. It's no longer buggy and is now pure awesome. Definitely top 3 favorite apps of all time. changed from 4 to 5 stars*** It's a beautiful layout. easy to use, but boy is it buggy. There's always some error. I have yet to use the iphone app (overload message). That said, sounds like it's being worked on. I would like a few more controls- like being able to edit the number of articles per news feed. great program nonetheless
Love Feedly Mini. Wish there was a way to edit what appears on the pop-up bar. But otherwise I love Feedly itself and this Chrome extension is a must have. The new functionality allows me to replace my "Send via Gmail" and "Tweet this" extensions.
great extension..
5 stars from me for sure its been a sure winner to me. I have been amazed on several occasions how resourceful it is. It always seems to know exactly where to find what I need, when I need it. Skipping over all the unnecessary info I don't thus saving me time to do what I need to do.Thank you
Those who are unable to use Feedly Mini, you most probably have the ORIGINAL Feedly extension already installed. Either deactivate it or uninstall it completely to see the Mini icon.
Would someone that gets this extension please tell me what I'm missing? I don't see any grey feedly toolbar at the bottom right of any page. As best as I can tell this is just a bookmark to the feedly site. What am I missing?
Need Feedly pro account to add to Evernote and can't disable unwanted options?! Tooltips take too long to appear.
For those of you rating this one star: It adds a grey feedly toolbar at the bottom right of a page. IT IS NOT A BOOKMARK EXTENSION. Learn how to use it before you RATE IT.
Needs to have a Google+ link. Thank you.
Excellent extension. Going through the reviews I noticed that some people haven't noticed that you have to look at the bottom right corner of each page. There you can find the icon and its functions.
Love it. As a suggestion to the dev's for future features, I'd love to see a keybinding option so I can add items to feely with a quick key combo like with Add to Pocket. Otherwise, great extension, and you've now removed any need for Pocket from my life! Thanks guys!
Some third party developers offer a better app extension than Feedly's. The only thing I can do by pressing the button is entering the Feedly webpage. Are there any other functionalities I might be missing?
Agree with other reviewers...I love feedly, but this is just a bookmark functionality, doesn't help me add sites. Deleting.
Glad to have you back, feedly Mini! :)
You installed a shortcut to your own site ... why not have the actual functionality of the plug-in accessible from the newly-installed button? The bottom of the page is not intuitive.
It really seems to be just a bookmark, plus the preview functionality is missing if you open feedly via the mini button. I love feedly, but see no use for the Mini.
No idea what all the hype for this extension is about. It is simply a shortcut button. I was looking forward to seeing the functionality that was promised in the extension details, but it just takes you to Feedly, something I already have a bookmark set up to do. Feedly is great -- this extension is worthless. Deleting.
It's BACK! :D
awesome ! :) nice plug-in for Feedly user.
You Feedly guys might want to tell people in the description that the icon appears in the bottom corner of the page, and that it's only on new tabs opened after installation. Yes, it's in the visual, but it's pretty subtle. I installed a bunch of times until I figured it out. Looks like I'm not alone. Otherwise, yeah, it looks like we've installed a shortcut in the bookmarks bar. And: Why not just put that functionality in the icon in the bookmarks bar? You're really going to make me scroll to the bottom for the functions after I spend most of my time clicking up top? It's redundant and a bit annoying. The extension itself is ok. The Evernote integration is OK, the actual Evernote extension is much more robust. The FB, Twitter, and email functions are nice and quick. Would be great if it would suggest hashtags as I type in Twitter. The biggest real estate goes to a "Add to Feedly" button which I imagine I'll use about twice a year. I get that from a brand perspective, but not from a usability perspective.
FINALLY!!! I've been waiting for this since they removed it forever ago! Best Google Chrome share and save button, hands down.
Needs an unread counter, and to turn green when there are unread feeds and grey when all are read. It's just a bookmark icon... Come on feedly, this is an in house extension for your own site...
Why does this extension need 'access to my data on all websites'!?
Still needs unread counter how hard is it to implement this feature!?!?!
Just a bookmark. Doesn't do anything!
I was pretty disappointed in the Chrome Feedly "app" (which as many ppl have said, is pretty much just a bookmark). I really hope they fix the Chrome's ver, the FireFox Feedly app works just fine :/
nothing happens once u add it. Non responsive. disappointed
Completely worthless, should have looked at the reviews. It's just a bookmark. You can't add feeds.
Just a shortcut? What is the point?
Worthless.
Outstanding feed reader.
making a search function only available for 5 bucks a month is kinda lame.
Literally does nothing
