Love the extension, & I'd want to buy a license to keep using it, but I have no idea how to buy one.
Very useful. We are a multicultural family and watch movies with two language subtitles. This app solved our problems on Netflix. I don't give 5 stars because sometimes it wont's start in the first place and need to refresh a few times. It's a minor bug I hope get fixed soon.
how can i buy the licence one ?
It doesn't seem to work. Any idea's on how to fix it?
Is it still working? I got the pop up hint says "there are no loaded subtitles, select first subtitles of your choice in the Netflix menu." However, I have tried selecting multiple languages including English, Thai, Simplified Chinese....all doesn't work. I also tried refresh the Netflix page. Still no response.
Here are two issues on the mac. F11 does not work for mac. So the added subtitle does not show on full screen. Changing color does not seem to work. I chose color from color picker and nothing happened Can you fix these issues?
I just paid to enjoy multi subtitles and then message from the manage screen box indicates that " there are no loaded subtitles." I don't think this works any way. I can't even change the color nor size of text (english subtitle). I was watching "the office" season 9. Is there any way i can load subtitle besides english? it's waste of money ... please help me!
It has not any langue in secondary subtitle. What is with my computer laptops
It doesn't change to full-screen after I pressed F11. Please help, need to watch in full-screen with subtitles
EDIT - The developer reached out to me. I turned all otIher extensions off, set subtitles to off, refreshed, tried again, it is working. I could swear I'd tried this already, but I'm not going to quibble. Working. It sounded wonderful.. but I am having a difficult time getting it to work. Youtube vid shows a screen that pops up on the right with a list of languages - this does not appear. I do get a screen on the left which continuously asks me to choose a language. What is odd, while I had another subtitle extension installed, I was able to get 1 subtitle in the box but I could not get a second one to work. So I removed the other extension hoping the issue was a conflict and now NO subtitles show. Hope you can help. I would really enjoy an extension that allows me to choose placement. Thanks.
I love this extension. It suits my needs exactly as a language learner. Was happy enough to pay for it as it's very useful to me. However, one little bug perhaps is when going onto Netflix, a new tab loads asking me to sign into my google account even though I'm already signed in. It happens every time I load Netflix. I can always close the tab and carry on as normal so it's not a huge issue but sorting this issue out would be perfect if possible. Takes nothing away from the usefulness of this extension, though. Good job!
I purchased a license, but it still doesn't register that I did so.
i purchased it because this extension is currently one of its kind. The color changing function needs review. I've installed this extension on Ubuntu Chrome and there is no OK button for verifying the color change from the color panel. There is no way to save the state of the desired color upon selecting.
Thank you for developing this. It's a wonderful resource for language learners! There are 2 minor issues I have. 1. I cannot figure out how to change the subtitle color (I can select a new color, but I do not see an "OK" option to save it.) 2. I cannot get the program to work in Full Screen mode. I am using a Mac and I believe the F11 option will only work on PCs. On my Mac I have tried the Full Screen option within Netflix as well as the Command (⌘ )+F option on the keyboard, both without success. Hopefully these issues can be fixed in future releases, but if not, I still believe this is an Chrome extension worth having if you are trying to learn a new language.
Very useful when trying to learn a foreign language.
Now it only works for Eng subtitles, and it even doesn't work in full screen mode. It can be better.
This extension is gd but I cannot change the subtitle's color. When I choose the color, there is no "OK" button. What should I do?
Tells me free trial is up and to buy a license AFTER i've paid for it (so, bottom line, doesnt work)
I love it and want to buy but how can I change the subtitle color? Whenever I go to click a different color it does not seem to save it or change the color. Thanks !
It was great, but it is no longer working! Every time I try to change the subtitle with the extension enabled, Netflix crashes. Then I have to reload the page and the second subtitle is not available. Please fix it.
Love this, and would like to buy it, but it is not working in full screen. Any way to fix it? Cheers!
Is there any way to get this to work with chromecast?
I haven't gotten the UI to pop up at all. I have read all the reviews and watched the video but I can't figure out how to open the ui to even use the extension. I hope someone can help me so that I can review adn use the rest of this tool.
This is really nice, but I think since google chrome has gotten updated it doesn't work when the show is put in full screen. Is there a way to fix it? It used to work before.
really love it!
Nice work
when full screen in Chrome, the subtitle position can't be changed (moved). is it possible to support it? thanks.
Absolutely love it! Makes it finally possible for us (Thai/ German couple) to watch many content together on the couch instead of each one of us separately with her/his own display/ subtitles!! Hope it will be further developed/ improved, e.g. I can't even change the color (always bright yellow) in Version 65.0.3325.181 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Sadly, the UI is horrible. It would be okay if you didn't need to use it constantly, but everything must be re-done for each single episode, which is really uncomfortable. Could be really great if there was active development behind it.
great and useful
Like others said, bringing up the settings window could be a bit more intuitive. Perhaps an icon in the bottom corner would be better. A suggestion is to have the ability to click on a word or highlight a phrase and get a translation from Google Translate, etc. I wish there was an easy way to rewind quickly because the user might want to go back and listen to a phrase again. Otherwise, it's very handy and works great.
Does not work with Chinese or Japanese subtitles.
It works, thanks!. However, it's a little unintuitive, why is there no in-chrome menu/options/details like other chrome extensions? You should at least say on the web store "hover mouse around screen to find the menu". *Please* add option for outline font in separate color. The only "good color" for subtitles is a two-color outline system... eg. black outline on white font. Without this, the subtitles are bound to be hard to read at some point depending on dark or light scene / background color etc. Also, I'm in Japan. I can watch netflix's Japanese closed caption subtitles and use your extension to see the English subtitles simultaneously (and show all feature etc), but not the reverse... I can't use your extension for the Japanese subtitles. It would be great if I could, so I could see the "show all" full subtitle transcript.
can improve the interface but works as advertised!
Needs Permission to read and change all the websites we visit. Why Not Netflix.com only??
Love it! Love it! Finally! I have one suggestion which I have already asked the developer. A lot of movies have a lot of scenes where there is no spoken dialog. This is annoying when really trying to learn a language. It would be awesome if the arrow keys, when pressed, could move you to the next subtitle. This way you can really drill the language and skip over music scences, silences, etc. Also another excellent option would be to have a setting which will play the movie from one subtitle to the next. In other words the setting will allow you to automatically skip over silent non speaking parts. Think of how much time you would save!! Please think about this it would be awesome!
Not intuitive, but it works.
Did exactly what I wanted, although I would have liked the lettering to be smaller. A few other apps like this exist, but they have a number of bells and whistles which may be useful for some, but which I just find distracting. This app is straight to the point - dual subtitles, positioned at will, nothing more.
I've been looking/waiting for an app like this for months. Thank you
Wow,.. :) it really works, I can watch Netflix movies with several subtitles simultaneously, this is the first chrome extension I've seen, that can do it. However not sure if I need it; maybe when I start to learn some foreign language, this may be really cool
