Doesn't work on Amazon Prime
Currently IMDB is not working, and only TMDB works reliably. You need to enable couple of other ratings to make the score more accurate, but often these other sites are not working (scores displayed as question mark). The averaging algorithm is questionable, sometimes it only calculates TMDB. Sometimes it's got the rating for the wrong show (case on point: The Witcher). The speed is not fast but it is understandable as it has to query sources for so many movies. Overall it's quite useful but could be improved. Thanks.
Extremely slow to load ratings, to the point of being unusable. I've opened Netflix 10 minutes ago and it has loaded only 5 ratings. I'll have to unfortunately uninstall.
The Good: The extension works across multiple streaming sites, allows you to pick which ratings sites to pull from & which is the default to be displayed. The Bad: Recently, it's started to make browsing Netflix unbearably slow if you leave the default setting of all ratings sites enabled. An M1 Pro MBP with 32GB RAM struggles with this extension's default settings. The Advice: To speed up browsing, I highly recommend disabling the ratings sites you don't care about. E.g., if I just leave IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, & Metacritic enabled the browsing experience is nearly back to normal. I also recommend going to Chrome's Extensions > clicking on the Details button under "Film Scores..." > disable access to the URLs you won't use this on.
It makes the webpage insanely slow. Useless app essentially.
Cool idea, but my PC is almost 3y old and i get about 1fps in Edge making inte absolutely unusable. Is there a lightweight version that works if you don't have a new 10k PC?
Took quite some time to find this out: I installed it for Netflix, but it kills my whole amazon shopping experience, makes the site super laggy and unresponisve.
It used to work great. But, now its super laggy. There is some bug in code which needs to be fixed asap for this extension to be usable.
Used to work great, now nothing pops up for ratings anywhere.
Concept is great but upgrading to HBO Max etc ratings has made the extension as a whole way too slow to function. Please fix!
Has a Memory Leak. It works fine for about 30 seconds after page refresh, but very quickly becomes impossibly laggy to use the page..
Doesn't work properly, they all display a gray bubble with a question mark unless I refresh. If I navigate to a new page, I have to refresh again for anything to show up. Also, it makes the website fail to respond properly - when I hover over a thumbnail either nothing pops up, or when it does, it very slowly appears and the animation skips frames. also, ratings aren't even available for at least half of them, even though when I google them usually there are ratings (from rotten tomatoes, metacritic, imdb, etc)
I loved it, but the last few updates made it increasingly resource intensive to the point where my laptop pc would slow down to a crawl and freeze for seconds on every Netflix scroll, and my stronger PC would struggle microfreezing and stuttering all around with it on.
This USED to work great, but now it wants permission to manage my apps, extensions, and themes. That's super shady. How do I know it won't just install a bunch of junk/malware extensions in my browser? I don't. Highly recommend avoiding this extension until it no longer requests that permission. I don't see ANY reason it would need it, so I don't think it's wise to install it at this point.
It does not show the reviews for rotten tomatoes it only shows a ?
Doesn't grab rottentomatoes score. All you see is "?"
So many extensions try to do this, but do it badly or sell your user info. This app however is amazing!
I tried many netflix review extensions and this was one of the only ones that worked
Works for reviews but add's spammy new window ads every time you open a window from then on. Not only on Netflix, everywhere.
Great extension.
Brilliant. I am loving it. Now I am using my time actually watch movies/shows rather than spending time to find them. Thank you.
Would be five stars if they could add Letterboxd (my trusted source for movie ratings)
I used diff extension but this one works better!
so far the best extension. Receives regulary updates
nice
Don't know how I would watch Netflix otherwise, ratings you can trust much more than Netflix system ratings.
Amazing!! Thank you so much!
This extension was exactly what I needed and works perfectly!
Perfect to declutter your watchlist and only keep the best things to watch :)
Really nice to have this app - works pretty well - gives me the info I need - I wish it were even more integrated into the site (sorting by rating and that sort of thing) - but it's great right now!
Unfortunately, it gathers ratings from few listed websites, e.g. metacritic and filmweb.pl aren't properly displayed and it always shows question marks for those sites. Clicking on those displays that either the name of the movie was indeed found on site but it didn't load properly into extnesion, or it was searched by Polish name of the movie (I'm using Polish version of netflix) which was nowhere to found on english version of metacritic. So much that choosing metacritic rating as a default results in all movies to have a question mark in place of rating. I've tried reloading site, browser and extension but it seems it's bug in extension's code.
eye openin'
perfect!
Super useful since Netflix got rid of ratings. One additional helpful feature would be if I could customize color ratings and ranges.
Great extension! It's the only one that works through Opera too. Simply the best, and I've tried them all!
Love your work. Any chance of getting Rotten Tomatoes Ratings as well?
Finally I could find a working netflix rating app. Thanks.
Works great, except the score bubble in the corner doesn't always go away, so sometimes it's stuck and just floating there when you hover over the movie/show and looks crappy. Fix and I'll update my review.
The only one of these types of extensions that still work for me.
Unlike other Netflix extensions this one works as intended.
Fantastic! Wish I would've discovered this sooner. It works much better than the previous extension I was using that stopped working recently.
This is just so well done! I am in awe! Thank you so much for building this!
Nicely done extension with no tracking built in/
Netflix should buy it!
Excellent - thank you
Love it and shows more accurate rating number than others but one caveat is it doesn't have the option to show Rotten tomatoes ratings. Please add this and it will be perfect. Thanks for your effort though.
Wish I knew about this earlier. Also, any way to get something like this working on the (android) app?
great
I love it -- makes findng good stuff so much easier.
Cool be cleaned up to look better.
Exactly what I was looking for! And it's free :) Love it!
Cool!
Shows scores for all titles without the need to hover over. Perfect!
Przyjemny dodatek. Brakuje tylko opcji Logowania do FilmWebu i ukrywania/oznaczania innym kolorem kółka pozycji już obejrzanych (I ocenionych w FilmWebie).
It's good, but it uses the European decimal comma system (i.e. it says 7,1 instead of 7.1) You can simply display: score.toLocaleString() and it will always show the correct number in every region. If, for whatever reason, that doesn't work, it'd be nice to have a manual option to switch the comma to a decimal point. I would rate 5* if that were possible but I currently wouldn't use it at all, aesthetically.
