EASY TO USE
A mighty powerful and impressive chrome extension
- Binds Alt+O by default to enter its own options page, preventing typing certain important keys in Chrome. No option to disable. - Config (proxy.pac) disappared after rebooting (not persistent) - When modifying the proxy.pac script, one has to cancel the first upload (setting it to empty) before the modified file is registered in the text box. In other words; there are a few aspects which need improvement (also the SOCKS5 auth, but it has been mentioned in other reviews)
it worked well but it seems after last chrome update (v108.0.5359.125) it's mixed up,when we left click on extension bar , there are lot of options and none of them work

Doesn't seem to work at all.
Tried to use with TorGuard SOCK5. Did not work. Entered server address, port, and authentication. Selected SOCKS PROXY from extension menu. Got error, ERR_SOCKS_CONNECTION_FAILED
PAC file doesn't work. The file doesn't get loaded or executed.
This extension DOES NOT use proxy for all chrome traffic. Please use firewall configuration to block your browser connection to other IPs than your proxy if you need security.
very Good for SOCKS5
So I found that this addon uses DNS resolve through proxy, which is good. People who use proxy wants everything pass through proxy anyway.
It just can't handle socks5 authentication. It successfully tries to connect to my socks5 server but doesn't pass any user\password

worked till today and was very happy with it. But I had to turn it to Direct for som work and now I can not turn it back on. Tried to delete and reinstall but no luck.
Works perfectly for me (using SOCKS5 via a pac file and ssh -ND on Chrome for Ubuntu) after a minute or two of figuring out how to engage it. I have no experience in security so I can't speak to how well it helps hide you from repressive governments or anything like that.

Socks5 support, I love it !!! I had to stop using it after having intermittent failures of unknown cause. Proxy use would work, then fail without error.

Finally, a way to switch proxies from work to home without going through all the clicks. Great app!!
Be careful using this. This extension leaks your real IP sometimes. Sometimes it removes your proxy. Sometimes it still connects to sites using your real ip address instead of saying it cannot connect to proxy. I thought that when the icon is blue it means that the proxy is working, but when i checked the proxy settings, it was removed! I wouldn't recommend this to anyone that needs something that is consistent and doesn't fault to leak your real IP.

Excellent! Does SOCKS5 with (remote DNS resolution) which is why I had firefox on my machine. With this extension, I'm uninstlling firefox immediately :) Thanks developer
Didn't work at all with SSH -D socks proxy which works fine in firefox.

What an amazing extension. Works exactly as advertised and is super fast stable and a pleasure to use. The HTML interface makes it beautiful. A feature to have different proxy options per tab would be just killer.

It works well but it would be great if when you click on the button it only shows protocols that have been configured in the list.

Clumsy interface. Online documentation (FAQ and home) is empty and has not been updated for many months. There are much better proxy extensions for Chrome than this one.
