I don't understand why some people say that this extension doesn't work. Maybe they use it the wrong way or maybe he tried sites where it doesn't work. I think it is the best.

Garbage. Right-click didn't do anything but open up the same menu as always, no opening page in new tab.

For those concerned with lost functionality, this only opens a new tab when you right click on a link, so it still opens the context menu when you click elsewhere. But to make sure you don't lose functions you want, before installation (or after disabling it) right click on a link to see the options that will no longer be available. I never use any of them but surely some do, in which case they can <shift> <right click> to get the context menu. Finally, note that some sites have more than one "full size image". After clicking the thumbnail you can click again to get an image with even more pixels (although you may not notice a difference). If larger images are present, the right click will show them rather than the context menu.

This extension has been hacked. Now, it opens a new tab with non-functioning URLs. For example, right clicking on any link anywhere on any website produces this link: https://www.wzymmmgcky.com/buaibriyqea. That is the link produced every time, regardless of what website or what link is clicked on.

This means Right Click on links to open context menu is GONE!

Haven't used it for long but so far is making my life a little easier. Its gems like this that make power users just that much more efficient.

This does work perfect in Chrome but my TORCH Browser is being deleted all the time. Can this please be reworked for Edge?

Some sites works some don't. Huge issue still.

Good extension, I use it constantly especially on eBay and Amazon. There was a problem a while ago with it opening multiples of the same link when you right-click but it works fine. The right click still gives you the context menu if you are not hovering over a link. I like that it opens the tab without switching to it so I can open 4 or 5 and then look at them later.

I used to love this extenxion but recently it's often opening two or three tabs instead of only one. Could you please fix this?

This does not open search results in a new tab in either Google or Yahoo searches. Before this was 'updated' and underwent a name change it did. That feature really needs to be added to this new version.

Something changed. Or, maybe it just works differently on Firefox? I don't remember having to "activate" it every time I open a new tab. There is an icon that you must click to reload the page in order to use the right click. I don't want to have to reload a page to use this extension when I have already used it to open a new tab. Let me set it and then turn it off on an individual page if I so desire. Now very irritating to use. Going to look for another option. Or maybe just stick to Firefox? (Don't know if the extension I use of FF is done by the same person...)

Most of the time it opens the tab twice. Needs fixing.

Works alright but not perfect. There are a few sites where it does not work. Still worth installing.

It would be great if you could reverse the order so the latest tab is closest to the current tab

Did not work in Chrome

In my mind three things are needed in all web browsers: 1) RIGHT CLICK Opens Link in New background Tab (this extension does this). 2) READ MODE for web pages so cluttered that you cannot read the article (JUST READ does this). 3) DARK MODE so you don't go blind from too much white background (DARK READER does this).

Worked well until a Chrome update, then started opening multiple copies in new tabs at a time (same as it sister extension). Even after updates, this extension still opens 2 new tabs and not always together. ALTERNATIVE: ---------------- THERE is, however, another extension that I have found as a very useful, simple and effective replacement, "TAP TO TAB". [https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tap-to-tab/enhajhmncplakageabmopgpodkdgcodd?utm_source=chrome-app-launcher-info-dialog], which opens almost all types of links in a new tab, next to the original tab. It is basically "Double click to open in a new tab" and works great. This is, for me, the best "Open link in new tab" extension available for Chrome and works as well on a PC as it does on a laptop, tablet or phone, with a mouse, touchpad or touch-screen.

Be aware that this extension will prevent context menu on right click appearing. Shift-right click should give you context menu. I found in some case right click did nothing due to the event attached to the link eg Outlook.com right click an inbox item

Worse than ever. Center wheel click opens 2 duplicate tabs in background. Right click opens 2 duplicate tabs in foreground AND opens the context menu. What is worse is that I cannot find the original "Right click opens new tab" extension that worked better than this beast. Uninstalling with no alternative. SORRY

I've been using this extension happily for many months. Now that I've moved over to a Chromebook, it's stopped working. I hope it is a simple update. I've turned it off (reluctantly) for now

Doesn't work with "Google Auto Next Page" addon. When the next google page is loaded, the right click stops working altogether.

Middle click is opening 2 equal tabs.

Not exactly dislike it but keeping the left button pressed to copy a link's URL instead of triggering it was very useful in the original Right Click to Open links extension

Similar to the original Right Click Opens Link In New Tab extention, this does not work with tablets. But at least this one works correctly otherwise.

It simply doesn't work in G+ notifications, and that's why I got it. I don't see it doing ANYTHING, honestly.

Other than it interferes with "right click save" and "right click print", it's an excellent tool for internet researching. I just turn it off when I need those features, otherwise, it's on most the time.
