I've used this extension for years. Awesome New Tab Page was a MUST HAVE extension for me, but recently began to slide downhill and now no longer works. Really quite a shame. I dread going back to Google's new tab page after all this time.

use to be my favaorite extension, now it doesnt work anymore

This used to be my favorite extension because it was completely customizable. Now it just doesn't work for me anymore. I just can't click on any boxes because they do absolutely nothing, nor can I put apps in my tabs because they don't show up.

I just tried to switch back to this after using a different new tab tool. Nothing works. Can't add widgets. I unlocked the page. Clicked and dragged a widget to the surface, but it doesn't stick. My page is totally blank. Has development stopped on this?

It doesn't work. I added the extension, unlocked the grid, and pressing the "+" does absolutely nothing. I clicked on the apps button on the left, clicked add, picked a grid square and it highlighted the square with the app logo and then nothing. I was really excited that this may be what I have been looking for but it's not currently usable.

Well my weather wasn't working so I reset all of ANTP it and now I can't do anything. Can't add widgets, can't add links. Can't click on a tile to add links as it is greyed out and yes I unlocked it. Please fix.

New Tab Tools is better but I can't seem to get it. This one doesn't work at all, I click the grid while unlocked and nothing happens. I lay widgets & nothing happens. I give up going to find something else.

It updated and removed all of my bookmark tab things. What's the point in using this if you're just going to nuke everything I had.

Spent time to do the page to my liking and was enjoying it for several days. Until everything gone because the extension has updated, thank you very much!

Works fine, but was better before they remade how the tile grid works and when it offered a notepad widget

there is a bug with the Grid Width.. it changes the number itself..

I like it, but I wish I could change the size of the widgets, but overall it's great!

Like it, not love it. Wish I could customize the size of the tiles (not the number of tiles available).

deleted this instantly this is horrible i dont reccemoned it and you have to unlock wigets was annoying

A recent change to the widget (read: the icons that pop out when you hover the mouse on the left side of the page are now always out) have made me dislike it.

Using it for years, but what's up with the latest update today making all the favicons and names appear?

Since the latest update the Show/ Hide Name setting and the Show/ Hide Favicon setting resets.

Seems like it intermittently makes your search bar Yahoo search which is really annoying because Google search knows what I expect to see when I search for things, Yahoo does not. I've tried to turn it off in the settings and extensions settings but it doesn't seem to work. Only noticed the difference when in incognito mode where I have ANTP disabled, so I've never had a problem with Yahoo search in incognito mode.

Love the app, my only concern is how do i REARRANGE it? in edit mode i do see the blue dots on the widgets - but cant drag them!, any advice if i'm missing something?

This has been my default new tab land page for years. Nothing to complain! The way these affiliated services show up from time to time is not intrusive and doesn't bother me at all. i understand you have to generate revenue some way somehow and I am ok with that. Keep up the good works guys.

10/10. I've been using this for years. It's surprisingly customizable, you can really make it look exactly how you want.

Simply wanted to change the ugly wood backgound. Chose a nice color but it wouldn't "set". I didn't bother trying an image which I don't have. Uninstalling it.

I loved it a few years ago, but lately it has been a pain to keep straight, and the most annoying thing is that now I get two pop ups that almost covers my entire page EVERYTIME I open it. I exit out of them, but sometimes they pop right back up and ALWAYS when I open Chrome. I am thinking of removing it and just making desktop shortcuts...MOST AGGRAVATING!!!!!!!!!

My issue is not with this add-on, my issue is with Google Chrome and the fact that I was required to find and install a third-party program for the SOLE PURPOSE of applying resizing handles to the sides of Chrome's window. This is a basic convenience, and has been the main function of window-based user interfaces, LITERALLY, since the very advent of them. Whoever is making design decisions at Google is out of touch at best, and intentionally malicious at worst. Thank you for creating a workaround for an issue that should not have been an issue in the first place.

Keeps crashing and I lose my whole layout. It has happened 4 times now over 2 month period. Back up is worthless.

I love being able to have what I need right at my fingertips on the Awesome New Tab Page and I like that I can personalize each square with whatever image I want, can move or delete the squares if I like and I have as many squares to use as I need. My page is set up exactly as I want and it saves me time every day.

Been using it for 4-5 years easy now. The extension's ability to save your set up in the layout you set it up in matched with Google Chrome saving your preferences if you're signed in has made it super easy for me to keep using it wherever I go or on whatever machine I'm using! Great extension. Highly recommend it.

I used to love this so much, but in the past 2 days it has become corrupted and unusable. Will happily rerate and use again if this gets fixed!

So the widget just decided to become corrupted... now all my settings are gone... the thing is, the online backups too! what the H happened? Watching recent reviews it seems i am not alone in this.

I have used this extension for years and I've never had any problems with it aside from the Sphere widget being forcefully put on my page when I try to edit it (which can be deleted right after anyways).

I loved this app. I enjoyed having all my sites in one place and had no complaints. However, I don't know if this app has been abandoned or what, but this is the 2 time in a few weeks the extension has become corrupted. When it is repairs all your shortcuts are gone. I specifically backed up the last time to avoid this....now my back ups are gone. This app was great but seems to be neglected now.

Is there any way to increase the favicon generated automatically when a URL is entered into a new tab link? I dont want to go making/adding my own icons because it is a tiresome process. I just want the automatically generated favicon to be as large as possible even if it gets pixellated a bit. Please give me any workarounds on this issue.

This has been one of my favorite things about Chrome ... until the meta tile widget I'd based my whole page on disappeared from the chrome extensions library and thus when my desktop crashed and I had to reinstall chrome 95% of my tiles were blank and useless. I have extensive bookmarks, so I'll probably just leave it in hopes that the missing widget will someday return, but it's pretty useless to me now, and I have no desire to fix it as it is :(

After reading the reviews I have to write my own. I use this Extension since beginning of this year ( months by now) and I love it! I use it to link all my favorite Internet Shows - AND it looks awesome! But not only this, Its super practical, saves some time for alternatively search my shows and looks super nice! I had the Problem, that Pictures went missing, when the linked website went offline - which is logic and no mistake of the programm. I used the backup function, worked perfect! So for me, I see no negativ, I have no problem with another Add Ons and I will not live without it, since it is such an Stylish way of heaving a starting tab!

It's been slow to load lately. Like, very slow.

Of all the new tab pages I have tested this is now the best. It has some flaws. I have to backup and restore the settings to get it to a new computer. But I can backup the settings and push them to other browsers on other computers. I had to put my icons on my own web server and link to them instead of storing them inside the program. But I am able to create custom icons and use them.

This app is great, even after so many years. Does exactly what it should. Simple and easy to use.

I really like using this. However, can you provide a method for backing up and restoring the custom icons. It really is a pain when chrome or widows updates to have the all lost.

Excellent. I consider this a mini-bookmark bar where I put my favorite go-to sites.

Excellent add-on. I note some other reviews that it is unstable. That is not my experience. I have used it for over a year now and it has been absolutely solid. If you use a second machine (where you don't have it installed) you miss it.

I have no issues with this extension. It works great for me and as expected.

I love this extension. You can create your own home page with all the websites and apps you use the most. Works great!

I have used this app for years and I really like being able to create my own page layout. I am able to configure the app with only the links that I prefer. I use transparent .png files for the images so it looks great on a custom background. My biggest wish list item is the ability to export the images along with the settings on Export. Nice app - works well.

It was fine until the apps I like started disappearing and the damned thing never clears the history when it closes. It took to opening the same three pages 6 times in each opening. I'm canning it and will reinstall and see if it helps.

I really like this extension, it really benefits and assists my everyday use of google chrome and browsing the internet as a whole. Although I really liked this product, I do not like the fact that the default search browser uses Yahoo! search engine, and the fact that I cannot change that. Is there any way I can? Because I like using F11 fullscreen and using this search bar would really help my browsing. Thanks!

Oh, something strange happened but I think its fixed now.

Its ok (not awesome) when it works. The most annoying feature is that it crashes at least once a day which makes it unusable until I reboot the computer. If it wasn't for the crashing feature I would give it 3-4 stars.

ive had this extension for years and have never had any trouble with it. It looks amazing, is easy to use, and doesnt fail to impress your friends!

No matter how many times I choose the web site for the background, after a few clicks the background goes to a solid color. It ticks me off. Doesn't work like it supposed to work.

I just love it.. evertime I need to stitch to new system (be it for work or personal use), the 1st thing i do it do download awesome new tab and Set it up.. Have been using it for quite some time now.. :) :)

I loved it for a long time. Then they added links to their affiliates that I could not get rid of. The last straw has been the endless need to reinstall it. For whatever reason, whenever my computer updates, this app gets wiped out. I'm tired of it. Will create my own simple web page that will have links I need.

I really like this extension. The only problem i experience is sometimes it crashes and I have to go into the settings and re-active the extension, but other than that, the thing works as advertised. I recommend Awesome New Tab Page to everyone, really has helped me in my daily activities.

It forces you to keep certain apps it's an affiliate for. You can delete the Sphere widget as many times as you like and it'll magically find its way back onto your new tab screen.

I am using an old Netbook with a small screen so the icons are too large and won't fit on the single screen. Is there a way to make my links smaller without having to remove some of them? I particularly like the 'export' facility where you can cut and paste the text settings to another ANTP on another computer and get the identical set up.

This is a great widget. I use it as my landing page for research, news, etc. It works both inside and outside of my work network and helps me keep my "real" favorites organized.

I like it because I can remove junk widgets very easy by pressing X button. All I want is my own background.

I like it. Not all the plugins work perfectly, but all I need is weather. I appreciate being able to make my own icons for links and position them on a grid, as well as darken the background of the newtab page. Well done!

It is great, but has an annoying bug in which you can't get rid of the Sphere widget. Every time I remove it, when I lock and unlock editing, the Sphere widget comes back.

Awesome new tab...... Well it's just awesome! Love it! Easy to use, and easy to customize. everything I use is there and only a click away.

Ugly as sin, filled with the most useless, irritating clutter

Has some annoying limitations, but is/was fun to customize. Problem is- something always messes it up, causing me to have to re-do it. Yes, you can save it online but not the custom icons you make. Even Windows 10 updates have wiped it clean, so it got tiresome after awhile. And the settings don't seem to follow you around the way Chrome follows you via Google+. Would love something similar that is more stable.

this is such a great new tab page works for me and all of my friends download it NOW!!!!!!!!!! it rules

I'd give it 5*, but it's been misbehaving lately. Still, there's nothing out there to replace it, so far. Simple & perfect when it works. I try to keep it with the minimum links to avoid crashes, but too frequently it won't load up my icons. Hope it gets an upgrade soon that fixes the memory hugging issues.

A must-have extension

I've been using this for years now. It lives up to the name. The only thing I wish was different was the ability to have one tile and use multiple links for it. Other than that, it's awesome.

On new computer how on earth do you restore from backups. I see this question raised but no answer. Seems you can save a back up but can't figure out anyway to restore one of the saved backups. I must be dumb. Only way around seems to be export from computer where is set up (also logged into Chrome) and paste into import box the code. But must be a way to restore the backups that I DO see on the new computer.

It's like a pimped out channel page. With a little time, I started adding custom stuff. Making custom links makes it look better. I hope they add more options, but it's awesome the way it is. EDIT: Been using this for years now. Still loving it.

I Still love this add on after so many years and so many times stolen or disappeared days of straight creativity to make my own variance of it and that is AMAZING ! just have to keep putting it together square by square hour by hour day 4 days.... (UM YEA I KNOW THE BACKUP IT UP option to save it but SADLY...I even go over an beyond to make a screen shot and the CODE that its saved under so just pop IT IN???? BUT I STILL THINK ITS WORTH IT .....but its kinda getting

The link of google translate is invalid(404 not found), maybe you guys should update the URL of the link.

Needs a vertical scroll and more advanced background options but infinitely more functional than the stock version or any other ones I've tried.

Great utility. Never crashed on me. 4 stars only because there does not seem to be a way to avoid being spammend by the Sphere widget every time I unlock the grid.

Been using it for over 3 years. I can easily access all my favorite websites, what more can you ask for. Crashes happen once in a blue moon, and often times you just need to restart chrome. Feature rich (e.g. allows you to save your current setup on a cloud and restore it anytime), it has its own extensions. I find the tiles too big, but that can be easily fixed by zooming out, and it doesn't ruin the resolution. It's one of my favorite extensions, I can't see myself using Chrome without it.

Clunky interface. No easy way to add dial, must do them manually. No way to move dials around and resize doesn't work (yes, grid was unlocked when I tried). Every time I unlock the grid, it tries to push some "sphere" garbage on me. Hint: I removed the widget for a reason. Overall a very amateur attempt.

Review Update: I've been using this app since 2012. There was a time when it would crash, but haven't had that for 2 years. It is STILL the only tab page I use. I honestly can't function without it anymore. Customizing amount: You can customize almost everything from how many squares you want down & across. I have 5 down & 20 across. 5/5 stars Customizing links: You can choose between a screenshot or make custom pics for each square, which is what I do (requires 200x200px). Note: have a folder in pictures that keeps all your premade icons so you can reuse them at any time. Accessible: It has become very easy to stay organized, going from business sites, to pay bills, to browse social networks. It really helps the flow of getting where you need to. You can also customize each button to either open up in current tab or new tab on click. For my business, I open 3 tabs. 2 of the tabs open up in new tabs, keeping me on the tab page to open the 3rd in current tab. fast movements, easy settings. Backup: In case it DOES crash, you're able to have a saved online backup. Just remember to back up your settings if you ever change them. CON- you lose all custom icons, which is why you should have a folder of them, so you can go back & place them where they were before. 4/5 stars. Devices: Sadly, it doesn't work on all mobile devices. I can only use it on my PC, so I feel alienated when using my phone or another tab. Pro for them, con for me. OVERALL: Until I find a new tab page, that blows this one out of the water, being able to have greater features AND ability to cross platforms & devices, I'll stick to this one.

I love the Awesome New Tab Page. I use it daily and would be lost without it. It gives the user a feeling of personal choice in a computer world of minimal choice. I The only draw back is today; all my icons/logos I attached to my tiles are gone, or should I say they are in a tiny area in the lower right. Is this this a glitch?

Every time there is a problem you have to rebuild it.

Have had to reset and redo too many times. Have finally moved on to something else. Love it when it works. But very tired of having to take the time to redo it.

Incredibly useful tool. Organize your life.

New search bar has ruined my experience with this extension and I've had to delete it because of that.

Once useful, ANTP is no longer worth the download. The RSS widget has been broken for a month, weather doesn't work and now there's nagware for some push content called "Sphere". STAY AWAY.

I would like to get rid of it.

I really like it, but when I run CCleaner it wipes all of my settings like the background and images I used which took a while to set up!
