pretty good, some features break sometimes, but it mostly works well also maybe i'd add 1 more star if it brought back the old youtube studio?

The extension doesn't have the sort by oldest feature and you can't access any youtube looks past 2017 youtube.

Please allow custom num per row on channel page also. 3 per row is too low

This extension is my favorite but there are issues. First if you save a video into a playlist when you open a new video in the same tab not by middle clicking it will say the video is saved in the playlist but it isn't, fix for this issue is to refresh the tab. Second sometimes if you don't refresh the tab the page will start lagging, just refresh the tab to speed everything up again. Third if you make your chrome window smaller sometimes some of the video player's buttons will disappear, If you make the chrome window big again the buttons come back but this issue doesn't happen always. To make this feel like old YouTube you also should use Return YouTube Dislike, this extension has compatibility for it.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the "blue bar" error thats there instead of the upload icon. its driving my OCD insane. as soon as i see it fixed, i promise ill change this to the 5 stars it deserves.

Hello, I recently installed this extension in Opera GX and while using it, the upload icon is just blue and it does not show any videos on the home screen, does anyone know how to fix this?

Please add an option to sort by oldest to newest on youtube channels.

The Extension helps with sorting out videos. I suggest adding search filters in the video list in the user's channel video list that got replaced, as well as the old listing for each topic videos including the watch it again list. There's cases that old is better than new.

I like this extension, but whenever I go to play a video in full screen there is a scrolling bar on the right side of the screen. I've reverted all my settings and it persists.

Hello devs (or pr guy lmao) of youtube redux, This is overall a great extension but there's just one thing that I think is missing, and that's the ability to restore the yellow subscribe button from 2008. My setup (and the setup of lots of other people's) just feels incomplete without it. I sincerely hope you will consider this request. But other than that this is the best extension I've ever used

This was recommended to add back the Sort By Oldest feature that YT stupidly removed, but this doesn't fix the issue sadly. Extension seems decent otherwise, but I personally don't need any of the features. Will keep for now in the hopes the dev adds the sorting feature back in. Cheers!

A Great extention for a website that is becoming more ugly each month Hovever there is still a lot to be added bu this is much better than nothing.

A must have extension... 2022 youtube user interface is very unpleasant. This extension allows you to bring back youtube's UI from every year all the way back to 2005... I highly recommend this chrome extension...

The best YouTube restyle extension. I made mines look like 2016, without filters and features I don't use.

BEST EXTENSIONS I'VE EVER USED So many options, high quality, amazing in every way. I donated $2 because i'd feel guilty using this without paying for it's quality.

note: that this happend JUST NOW, so don't blame them for being inactive. Just now as in (at the time I'm writing this) around 4 minutes ago YouTube made a new change to the subscribe button, that instead of clicking to sub and clicking again to unsub, when you click again, for some reason it shows some sort of context menu, in result, making the subscribe button thicker, even with the extension enabled. I know it's been like 4 minutes or so, but just a notice so that the devs fix it! :) Everything else works almost perfectly!

Thank you so much for this wonderful extension. I couldn't live without it, I was struggling to get used to all the visual changes that YouTube forces on the user. Any incompatibility is usually fixed in a few days or less. You are the only thing that's protecting me from the ugly new UI, and I'm super thankful for that. So many customization options too, I can finally go back to 2011-2013 YouTube. You're empowering people like me against Google's forced policies, allowing us to take back what was taken from us. Can't thank you enough.

please don't ever disappear

this is a great extension! however, there is a couple on issues, the 4 major issues I have is, 1, the sidebar is closed unless you click the button to open it, yet in older versions of YouTube the sidebar is always open. the second issue is YouTube has always had rounded corners but in the recent update rounded them much more, yet the "fix" for the new update was to strait up remove rounded corners and make everything strait edges, this becomes very clear when you look at the subscribe button next to the subscribers button, the next issue I have is the settings page, that is not themed at all, I don't have that much of a problem with it because I only go onto the settings page like once a year, the final issue that I have is the icons, most of them are spot on, yet all of the explore icons are wrong, and the like, dislike and verified icons are very blurry. but other than that, this is a great extension.

Very good extension. Does Everything Well and Takes me back to 2016 when everything was relatively normal. Also please add sort by oldest. Thank you.

upload button is missing

The extensions is great. There is a bug with the dislike button showing a scroll bar when you hover over it, though. Also some settings don't have explanations and it cannot remove the weird gradient background added to YT. Also my profile pic is square which doesn't change even after tweaking settings.

It works pretty well, but the only issue is the lack of the old Sort button that allows the options Sort By Oldest, Sort By Newest, and Most Popular.

One of my biggest uses on youtube was the ability to watch videos from original upload date. So I would watch them from oldest to newest. The new version does not have that and it takes hours sometimes to watch videos the way I wanted to. Huge headache. Sometimes I hate when they make upgrades. They make issues worse and and more difficult. Leave things alone. Or add them features along with the new versions as well.

I am really happy this has been updated to help fix YouTube's messy new layout and restore basic functionality. This is fantastic for video pages. but I wish there was more customization for channel pages, as well as synergy with the Return YouTube Dislike extension. Update: Seems like it works with Return YouTube Dislike. Upped it to 5 stars.

I love it, but please update it again, On my desktop, I can't see the youtube video name and the channel that uploaded it.

The Extension used to work great but lately its been really buggy. Icons are still square but likes are still black and white and formatted like in the middle of the title

Much better than the new UI "redesign", however I'd like it if there was a version of this with a more modern layout, but without the sh*tty changes the new redesign has. If there is one, please let me know ?

The extension somehow does recreate the classic layout. It reverts the title typeface back to Roboto Regular. It highlights video titles on the homepage and search page in blue. It reverts the avatars back to squares. It removes the redundant comment box below the description. It allows you to choose customise the logo on the top left corner. I know the ‘apply to updated layout’ is an experimental feature because of the UI update: video thumbnails and buttons are rounded; alternate video layout is broken; like/dislike icons are stuck with the Polymer style (not the oversimplified version though); like/dislike button and share button are below the avatar; user/channel video page displays FOUR videos per row. But, the dislike button looks like I had clicked on it even though I did not do so (it looks the same in Incognito; for some reason the Firefox plugin displays BOTH buttons as ‘clicked’). Overall, I like this extension. Apart from out of place rounded buttons and thumbnails, the layout overall looks just like the classic style. Because of the UI update, right now if I want to see the like/dislike ratio, my only hope is the like/dislike bar. I am looking forward to the next update, hopefully seeing that like/dislike display bug be fixed and the buttons and thumbnails be changed back to rectangles. Edit on 5 Nov: After the 3 Nov update for the extension, the rounded rectangles are gone just like what I expected, and the like/dislike icons are back to the right places with the right style.

It's a good extension and works well, has a lot of customization... it just was not what I was looking for. I liked the layout of Youtube prior to a lot of the changes they started making around late 2021, and was hoping I could bring it back to that. I'm not a fan of the way everything is formatted here, I want to go back to that nice sleek look Youtube had before they made everything B U B B L E S. If the retro layout isn't an issue for you though definitely get this extension.

It worked great before, but recently the i couldn't see the views of the related vides, and then the new youtube update broke it. Hopefully they update and fix it soon.

Almost perfect extension, for those who wants a old youtube look. Message to developer: could you make option for video views bellow video thumbnail on the right panel (recommended video panel)? And option for use circular avatar in comments and video channels. That is crucial thing that is missing. Thanks

Great and necessary extension but needs some fixes. When a video is in default (small) view on the homepage, the video player tools in the bottom right all get pushed over too far. Perhaps it thinks it's still in theater mode? Otherwise actually getting a reasonable number of videos on the homepage makes it all worth it to use.

Great extension! But the alignment of the video player on video page changes after transitioning from full-screen mode to default mode (more space on the right of the player). Can you fix this? Edit: Hopefully, the extension will get updated soon. (new ui sucks)

This extension did indeed do what it promoted and said what it will do. But sadly, the new UI and interface YouTube just added in the new update completely broke the extension and now it's just a complete jumbled mess lol. I'll bump this review back up to 5 stars once the Dev updates this extension and gets' it working again.

Currently makes the videos on the main page invisible, does not add back other features like dislikes, and extra channel sorting functions. At least the layout sort of works, but the buttons are out of place. also it tends to make performance on the site lag inconsistently the past few days.

still better than everything now its too corporate old school is more innocent :)

it's decent, and looking forward to it updating the new UI. but it needs to stop overriding the dislike extension.

My one critique (actually multiple but this is more important) is that it overrides the "Return YouTube Dislike" extension.

It's a pretty good extension, although now thanks to the new update, it's a bit of a mess, since the new Youtube's menu is now conflicting with the extension's one in whatever is shown on the site, so it needs some updates.

It glitched tf out again now I have to suffer looking at yt's poor excuse for "better layouts"

An extension sent from heaven. I wish I could make some fonts bolder and brighter on dark mode, like the view and sub count but it is still amazing! I haven't been forced to the new UI so my Redux is still working. I'm willing to bet this will be updated so that it can work on both versions, just gotta be patient :)

Broke with the new ui change, and it doesn't seem to work with the Return youtube dislikes extension. Lacks quite a lot customizing options that should be standard for something like this.

Great extension, but i'm having a bit of a problem, the YouTube Return Dislike extension isn't working with this extension for some reason. I have the compatibility setting turned on but sometimes it'll just say "Dislike" and sometimes it'll show the placeholder number "53". Any help?

Amazing extension, what I enjoy the most about it is ability to disable "Mix". Can you add option to keep round avatars for video page and comments? With that it would be 5/5.

this a great extension, a suggestion i have is that in the settings, you choose what youtube UI style you want from 2005-2017 as i really want that classic 2005/2006 youtube feel

This is a big improvement imo. The modern layout makes no sense. There are still tweaks you could make though. Also, could you perhaps remove the haze that appears at the top and bottom of a video when the play menu is brought into focus? It's another aspect of the modern design that I really don't care for.

I like it! But maybe add the old copyright strike screen on videos and loading screen. Also add the old Easter Eggs if you can.

Great extension, but there's a problem when I turn theater mode on. After turning off theater mode, some of the buttons on the video player are missed (full-screen button, captions, settings button) Other from that this extension is really good.

It's really cool, but one thing, can please you put the yt profile pic at the top left corner of the channel banner, because that's how it was back from 2013-2017

this theme is really great! i love using it but i've been starting to have a problem where none of the add to, clip, download or share buttons show up on the videos page unless i open it in a new tab, which is a huge problem for me since i constantly add videos to playlists.

REALLY AMAZING! My only complaints is that when you use a playlist, its forever in dark theme X_x Also that there isnt a feature to return back to when you used to be able to make your youtube background anything! (I know thats probably hard to code in, but its the main aspect of old youtube I miss TERRIBLY!!! D:) Otherwise ITS REALLY GOOD! I havent had any buggy issues, and ive been using it for months ^_^

i absolutely love this extension. i can finally experience mid 2017 youtube again. and now for some reason google dont like this and they keep breaking the extension. now the comments wont show now lol

tried it out. seemed ok then i noticed bugs popping up (mostly visual bugs) tried to remove from chrome but the settings it applied persisted, and now my youtube is broken this app sucks just for that. (the visual bugs change the size of my icons constantly, i always have to refresh the main page after leaving it then coming back since it make icons really s****y looking)

there should be an option to customize the icons so we can restore certain layouts, i want to restore the 2010-2011 layout with the old like buttons and other people want to restore the 2013 layout

Absolutely enjoying this extension! If there's one thing I could ask for, it'd be adjustable padding on profile pictures (and potentially YouTube videos). I prefer the square shape over the circle, but I feel like a padding of 5px looks pretty nice; keeps the square shape, but makes it not as weirdly sharp. Otherwise, great!

YouTube just released a horrible update, once again, they need to update the extension, hopefully they will. Edit: Youtube just fully screwed over YouTube redux, they badly need to update this!

YouTube made a terrible UI change, and this is really helpful!

Great way to bring back the look and feel of the old YouTube from 2015-2017, but just recently, YouTube changed the desktop layout on the video player to look more like that on mobile devices. You might wanna look into that and update this extension.
