My computer runs Ubuntu and the (Amharic language) input keyboard is useless. And this is the only way i could write in Amharic font. Thank you.

Sinhala handwriting is not usable. Sinhala handwriting feature on Android is quite good. I was expecting a similar UX here but was disappointed with Sinhala handwriting UX of this tool.

Sanskrit font working in google input tools only, but i copy that typed content and past in google form, but there the sanskrit font changed to english, why how to rectify this???????

Hi, it is not working on https://web.whatsapp.com/ on Chrome. When typing the words are formed but it does not come on edit bar of whatsapp. please check. Note: it used to work previously. It stopped from last 1-2 months. Not sure if whatsapp or you changed something. Earlier this extension was showing options for selection. Now its not showing that. Its not at usable now. English to hindi (phonetic) is displaying default conversions. No option for choosing the correct translation word from English to Hindi. Please correct it first.

not working for my new laptop with windows 11. Very odd and different characters are being typed in Marathi . Unistalled and reinstalled it but no luck

When this extension is enabled it makes causes issue with some websites which have typing functionality. The text doesn't appear in input box after typing. Sometimes backspace doesn't work. This is caused in leetcode.com, kayak.co.in and other online compilers.

For Cantonese version: In some instances like Facebook and now Whatsapp, I can't input Chinese characters without adding a number at the beginning of the sentence. V strange.

Does not work in facebook messenger typing vietnamese in its current iteration.

Its not working in facebook comments section, I tried with removing all other extensions and all other ways. no luck

I recently started a blog in Hindi language but I worried about how to type. After trying all the settings, I finally found Google Input Tools and I LOVED IT. It solved my one of the biggest problem. I hope with due time, it improves more, and sort out minor typing & translation glitches. Thank You.

latest version is broken for phonetic typing (arabic) in whatsapp web chat edit box workaround is to use any other edit box where it would work, e.g. emoji search, then copy paste in the chat edit box where you could hit send. iow, phonetic typing is intermittently broken

Using this for 'Hindi' and it works wonderfully! Very easy to switch any time and very accurate.

unable to write comments in bangla with on facebook comment section. I have reinstalled the browser almost six times, once with chrome and then with edge. still the problem persists, the comments can be entered in facebook comment section of a post

is it possible to add a swipe support for mice and or touch pads. it could also encrpyt by the swiping. each person swipes a little different.

Bengali is working perfectly on most pages, but ironically not for this review.

I am trying to use the assamese phonetics as it is available for the mobile version. but here it only provides the hand writting option. as it is already working on the mobile version kindly give it in the browser too...

Despite being a Google app why does this not sync language preferences between devices??? ???

not working as for my requierments . too bad results . I want to use a punjabi font in indic language but window 10 had already many fonts and I cant delete them for my need. these input tool not done a littal bit for me. I'm so disopointed for that and cant complete my project on time

I wanted to integrate maximum input tools for making my Gmail writing experience equivalent to outlook mail. Outlook mails are very handy tools in writing emails. It has different features equivalent to WORD page. But, Gmail does not have many fonts and features similar to outlook. Even, Google Docs have Calibri font but Gmail does not have that. Why do not you synchronize Google Docs features with Gmail. It will help in improved Gmail user experience.

Don't even have Maori in the language section anymore? All the videos on how to install it does and yet when I try do it now, it's not even an option! I need it as macrons are important for context!! Please sort it out Google honestly.

This extension is nice but it is not as good as android version. Please look into it. It would be better if the extension options page is more used friendly like listing different language inputs in specific language tab. THANK YOU FOR READING THIS FEEDBACK. I hope this will be better next time.

Previous Google Input Tools App was much better and could be used anywhere. It's not that easy to use it in Nepali language yet as extension.

It just doesn't work. Installed for Japanese, but nothing happens when I activate it... then wait, I can randomly type in katakana! And now it's gone again... Super inconsistent. The exact same things happens for the input where I draw the kanji/katakana. The writing pad only appeared maybe 1/3 of the time? Just seems broken. A real shame.

I actually love this app, but being by Google, you would think it would work seemlessly with their products, however when I turn on this extension, I can't type formulas properly in sheets until I remove the extension. This really sucks as I'm a French speaking accountant who needs to type accents and use google sheets :(

it is a very nice extension for google chrome to write in any script when teacher asks to write words in hindi during class in chat box of google meet . it has also helped me in online classes and in hindi tests on my computer . Thank you google for adding this extension in google extensions website .

The functionality was awesome. But it prevents chrome auto complete feature. Chrome is not giving sugggestions. I disabled all extenions and checked one by one and finally I found google input tools as the culprit behind it. Please fix it

in Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan) pinyin, i can just type ' shrf ' to give out ' shu ru fa ' but in Chinese (Hong Kong) jyutping ,i cant do this . it need to type the whole ' shu ru fa ' please add this funtion to Chinese (Hong Kong) jyutping .

Major problem with this is that it somehow doesn't work as intended on Facebook. The extension just keep messing itself up: sometimes I cannot type, sometimes it put the indicator to the beginning of a sentence without me clicking my left mouse button.

I would be typing on google slides and it would randomly stop working completely, and sometimes when I type words NOTHING would pop up. This app(if it worked correctly) would be great, but its clear that this is in its bata state.

Very useful to type in Indic languages in their native script, but would be nice if it possible to type Indic languages in Romanized script [like the IAST scheme], where diacritics are used, for example: ā, ṇ.

When using this tool on Google Docs, switching tabs (e.g., switch to Google Translate tab) and coming back often makes the input method stop working (i.e., typed letters are ignored) until I refresh the Google Docs tab. Very annoying.

It works very well for Marathi language. While adding the input tool after installation of the extension, don't add Marathi devnagri(Inscript). Add just Marathi, with this you can type in English and you will automatically get Marathi suggestions.

I use it to write documents and assignments in Mandarin for school. Works the majority of the time, but often times it glitches and prevents me from deleting text, adding punctuation, press enter for a new line, etc. It gets really annoying and I usually have to restart the whole page, not worth the time honestly.

Old input tool is good compare to new input tool .. old version is user friendly

The old versin was best for Nepali Language. Please revert old versin back. This new update is completley rubbish and it is removing all character and sentence when we press one time backspace key. So annoying.

Best Chrome extension for Typing because This Extension helps me to type in Hindi Language via using a English keyboard.

The thing I hate in Input tols for malayalam is whenever i press a number key, it shows the digits in local malayalam script, whit is not at all in use. That script is not at all used in kerala. So the developers please remove that malayalam digit script and provide the standard numerical 1234567890 script.. ൧,൨,൩,൪,൫,൬,൭,൮,൯ ഇതൊക്കെ പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകളായി മലയാളികൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കാത്ത സംഭവമാണ്..
