This is probably the easiest thing you can do to help fight censorship and uphold the right to privacy. Some regimes are more oppressive than others, but all will have their authoritarian moment, so we have to build resilient systems. This extension is a key component to that resilience. You can just install Snowflake and forget it. It was designed with no privacy tradeoffs, and I haven't noticed any effect on my internet speed or device performance.

Helps fight censorship and I barely notice that it is running. But it would be useful if it showed how much data it has used. Also if you don't want to use the extension you can just go to the embed on Tor's website. (snowflake.torproject.org/embed.html) Overall I give it 5 onions out of 21 ogres.

I like to think I'm helping stop internet censorship. And I may be, but I may also just be helping some kid bypass his school firewall. Either way, I support that cause.

Snowflake is one of the simplest ways to give users on censored networks access to the free internet. The browser extension creates an encrypted proxy, so none of their raw internet usage can be traced to you. It's an excellent way to make the Tor network more accessible, and I'd love to see an option like this for Android and iOS, aside from the Orbot app which can be a bit more difficult to configure, although more powerful.

We are living at the age of censorship, having an easy access to free internet is a privilege. Therefore, the least thing we can do for the suppressed people in China, Iran, etc... is to help them by becoming a part of their free internet .

Absolutely love this extension. It's a simple way to help those in countries with restricted/censored internet access the full/open internet. It takes a click and is much simpler than the rather technical setup required to run Tor nodes.

You should absolutely install and run this on a daily basis to help those less fortunate than you fight censorship.

This stopped working some time ago. I receive the error *Could not connect to the bridge* when clicking retry. So far my attempts at fixing this have failed.

You're essentially helping to circumvent censorship and spread freedom effortlessly whenever your browser is open and online simply by having Snowflake installed and activated. Please join the cause and encourage your friends and family to add it to their browsers as well. This add-on is recommended by PrivacyTools.io and they have many other great privacy suggestions as well. Check them out if you want to be safer online. :)

Would love to see more detailed stats, but I've only just installed Snowflake & it tells me I've already helped 1 user circumvent censorship (or buy weed - I don't mind...) & am instantly feeling that warm, smug own-fart-sniffing glow of unearned superiority. It'sa vary naice!

Incredibly easy to use, but if it provided statistics such as how many connections are being routed at a time and how much bandwidth is being used with configurable limits to the latter, then it would be perfect.

This is crucial to fight censorship and it's incredible how easy it has become to help others who are experiencing censorship with this small easy to use extension for Chrome or Firefox. I would wish I could see a total number of people that went through my proxy for reference.
