Not working. Synonyms are not provided but instead, only provides an option to visit the "Urban Dictionary" site.

I just installed this so I haven't had too much experience but so far it is exactly what I was looking for to replace the synonym functionality of what was in Outlook that I can now use in native Gmail. It works like a charm so far and I so grateful!!! It was very easy to add the extension. Just remember to double left click to highlight the word, then right click to see synonyms. Quick and easy. THANK YOU!!!!!

I like the ability to check alternative meanings, which this provides. It is also a nice way to improve my vocabulary.

Irrelevant suggestion occurs. Useless tool.

The program simply stopped working after a couple of days. Now I have to find another program that is more reliable.

Word suggestions are pretty limited and the suggestions seem somewhat unintelligent. Replace "good" with great? Bully? Cracking? As long as we're going pure UK English why not include Brilliant?! Another annoyance is that anytime you choose to replace a word, the replacement adds an additional space beyond the highlighted word so you have to erase the added space every time to avoid a double space. Meh.

I'm a long-time regular devotee user of Thesaurus and I'd certainly give this extension 4 stars as it serves you its same product quality with same own data but more languages and step-further options would've been highly a better suitor than 2-in-1 merge extension with Urban Dictionary which should have its own as well with refined work toward its own services. Still a winning 3-Star though, but must push things further (like Google for Ex.) if wanting to reach highger

I was using a writing program that costed five dollars per month to provide a worse version of this free extension, so- thank you! It works fine in general Chrome and in Chrome apps.

I used it once and it worked great. Next time I tried to use it, it does not appear in the drop down menu of a right click. Yet when I go back into apps extensions it says it is installed and the icon is on my toolbar. Anyone else experience this and find a solution?

The plugin is confusing words, or doesn't have suggestions. When the plugin doesn't have synonym suggestions it suggests Urban Dictionary, which isn't a helpful writing tool.

i like it so far. i don't need to click out of the window i am working on. will update if i will remove app for some reason.

Wish that it worked in Google Docs, as that was my reason for installing. Please add that function and it would be a 5 star.

not even a thesaurus!! Just trying to promote somthing else like FBook or somthing

It's nice but it doesn't work on Google Docs, that is a major bummer.

Great extension, I found what i want.

Great App and very convenient! It shows the words on a pop-up window, without the need of open new tabs or pages!! :-)

I wish it was better because the functionality is exactly what I want. It doesn't work for all sites, for example, I just tried it out when writing an email, and when i tried using it on a words in a review for this extension, they gave the same results I got for the email even though they weren't the same words. I wish it had better synonyms, and not just "similar words" sometimes.

Installed this to assist quickly with the understanding of words, and to find an alternate word when required. At first i thought it was great, but then it becamse apparent that sometimes it seems to stop searching/stop working/work incorrectly. I tried 3 completely separate words a moment ago and all of them came back with the same suggestion. Unfortunately this now means i do not trust this app.

Enough to use

Works great on standard XML websites, but appears not to work in Google Doc's which is a shame.

Pretty cool, really helpful when writing responses in the discussion forums.

works out best if you working on a budget and there a of pages that you research or to study and you don't have enough data. i save all pages i want to study or read on my laptop and reopen them with google offline and still get access to the this app to give better understanding of words i might find new or confusing.. now that is cool.!!!!

Needs another source besides urban dictionary.

This is my most used extension.(besides ABP) If i had a way to use it for spanish language I would give it 5/5. (although it deserves it.) Is there anyway to add other languages to this extension that i'm not aware of?

Not very good recommendations. Wish it would use Thesaurus.com for information.

This would be SO USEFUL if it had a better database of synonyms/antonyms to draw from. I would love if it could couple with, say, Thesaurus.com, or even allow you to choose your sources like the LookupDefinitions Extension does, but with the user functionality that this has.

I write long guides and emails occasionally. This tool is very handy in making the message more understandable, intelligent and professional. Great little non-intrusive extension. Thank you.

not a good app

Doesn't work in Docs or Drive. Yawn!

It needs some more precise words, but is the only extension that works for this purpose in Chrome

The icon shown on my right click menu is "tutorial" can't access Thesaurus like it meant to

I don't understand the low ratings others listed! This extension does everything it claims it would do!!

Would have received 5 stars if it worked with Google Docs...main reason I wanted it. But tried with some other websites and worked great. Hope you update to include google docs soon!

Wanted a synonym for "indeed", it gave me "so". That's it? No "truly", "certainly", "of course", nothing?

This is a good, quick & easy extension. There will be times I'll need something more extensive but this is very handy

Misses a few things that a power user would want (customizable shortcuts and an easy way to discard the popups), but otherwise works very well and as advertised. Thanks for the effort!

There's nothing really special about this...

It does not work which is a real bummer because I do miss this feature from Word. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Still nothing shows when I right click.

It's more 4.5 than 5. It needs just a few more words. But it's amazing and helpful overall.

Handy right click dictionary. More usefull

First time I installed it, this extension showed the same synonyms for every word ! I re-installed it a second time on advice of Andrew Merezhoko's review here: "If it doesn't work at first, try again. It should start working. It didn't start working right away for me but then it did." And, sure enough, this time it worked ! The list is still truncated, and often dubious. But it's a good start in finding the right word. Precisely what I was looking for. Minimalist extension that allows you to highlight text to get a list of possible synonyms.

I like the right-click option. Seems to work like it should. Minus one star because there is no option to change the extended-search option from Urban-dictionary.

Does what the description says. If it doesn't work at first, try again. It should start working. It didn't start working right away for me but then it did. Might also have to refresh that pages in the beginning.

not sure why its rated only 3 stars, it works fine and without any problems. Extremely helpful for reading college level papers and such.

Works great! a little confusing with the antonyms thrown in there but altogether a great extension.

Does seem to work and certainly doesn't give the same synonyms for each word, so maybe that was just an old version.

Doesnt work

every single word, no matter if it was dog and then cat, gives the same list of synonyms and none of them are actually synonyms for the word you are searching, or even any word on the page.
