It CAN download Live Streams, even if The Live Stream it self is still Buffering. However, I was not able to PAUSE nor STOP the Recording. Closing the small window deletes the downloaded information, Or I wait until IT DECIDES TO STOP BY IT SELF. This extension is better for Live Streams that you know would end. I tested it on a Traffic Camera ... which means as long as The Internet Connection is stable, it would probably try to download a file until your Hard Drive fills up.

Awesome, was the only app that actually recognized the video I wanted, out of the near dozen I tried.

Extremely useful extention. i just found out that if you can find the spot on the unsupported websites, where they hide the download urls. you can just copy paste all of the 25 lines of formated/half encrypted jibberish into the extention window and it will automatically extract/decode the download urls! For this website/projecty i will download the 720p .mkv video and the 360p .mp4 video. the .mkv got no sound but higher resolution. so i will take the sound from the 360p .mp4 video and merge it with the 720p .mkv with no audio. likely with the legendary opensource ffmpeg tool. (no audio files to download it seems) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- new trick i just discovered. on my target website i suddenly could not download any videos today. after a lot of trial and error i found the solution after giving up. i had to delete the cookies & log out from the website it seems. that means the website likely got a cookie that on purpose make downloads not downloading. even after restarting chrome, turning extention on/off, log-out and log-in of website etc. it was a cookie OR that fact that i had turned the extention permissions from "everywhere" to "only when you click the extention". most likely it was deleting the cookies that did the trick. sometimes if your downloads dont download (extention is also given 0 workers = 0 cpu cores to do the job) the fix seems to be restarting google chrome.

UPDATE (8/22/2022): Back to being broken completely. Only way I can select the file I want to download from the list is by hitting "Select All", because the check box and the download buttons by each item don't work. The "Download All" button works when everything is selected, but it won't let you actually download anything even though it makes you select a folder to download to. Original: 4 STARS After using this app for months, it stopped working for months. I found a replacement that was worse but did the job most of the time by essentially recording videos in the background as they play but it was a slow trash way of doing the job. I went to search for another replacement after the replacement didn't work on the video and I find out that this extension is working again. The user interface is clunky and buttons don't always work but the extension does what it's supposed to again finally.

Tried too many apps or chrome extensions to download HLS (HTTP Streaming videos). None of them worked except this. Using this extension was very easy. Other extensions were asking to upgrade to premium. This is a 100% free extension without any limitations w.r.t no. of files you can download back to back.

Yo I needed something to download stuff like voe or other stream-site videos and this actually worked perfectly. It (to be honest) looks like barebone trash but it does exactly what it does. You go to the site with the vid, you download it and thats it. I have only tested it with voe-videos so far but it did the job perfectly <3

However, in order for it to go the extra step from excellence to perfection, you need to make the UI, User Interface, more user-friendly and visually appealing. You can make it more user-friendly by having an option for us to choose the minimum file size we wish to be displayed for download. Many downloaders, including yours, make it too hard and unpleasant for the user by showing a lot of very small files on the display. We only need the file playing on screen in its highest or second highest resolution if the former is too high for our PC to handle such as 8K. Thank you very much

LOVED IT! This works really well! this is what i really need now. Thank you for give us this free addon. i loved this addon for what it is now. but it's good if you add more features and some polish on UI. but overall it's great and the main thing is I hope its remain free addon forever ;)

color me impressed, it didn't work immediately, but after some trial and error I managed to download the video I wanted: - went to video page, played, and pressed 'Copy' (pressing 'Download' wouldn't work) - pasted url in jDownloader and video was saved

This works perfectly! For videos that have no audio, it is because there is a separate video and audio stream. Just download both the video and audio streams then do `ffmpeg -i "video.mp4" -i "audio.mp4" -c copy "merged.mp4"` with ffmpeg to merge both the video and audio streams. You now have the video with audio!

Simply brilliant! Saves video in MKV but inside the container are AVC and AAC so no re-encoding is needed.

It works in downloading blob m3u8 videos. Only extra step is that I need to convert the video to mp4 using a 3rd party converter as this extension saves video in mkv format.

I Gave 4 Stars Because its a Great Extension which works great but I Found little problem that is when you download some small clips it downloads first like 10 to 20 of them before main video it download so what I suggest here is selectable size like 1MB to Above or ignore less than size option thats what it need Over all its a Great apps

Downloads the file but unable to save, getting a popup message to copy filename and save options but not able to save. Error window : failed to execute 'showsavefilepicker'

Really like it, is one of the only extensions that actually works for downloading videos. But, I have to ask: is there a time limit? I tried to download a 2h40min live and I couldn't, it was just stuck on 0%. Otherwhise, a really good working extension.

Woks for me! After collecting all streaming data the downloading of resulting file is super fast (due to local cache I guess). Great solution!
