Woah, dude! I feel like I'm a real coder, again, not just some lowly Google Apps dev who has no control over their IDE. And, omg, across-file search? I can die happy, now.
I really appreciate this app as a workaround to the missing global find and replace functionality of the new app editor. Having said that though, I was surprised and disappointed to see with the recently released update (v1.0.2) the theme template I use is no longer applied across all sections of the editor screen. When I toggle the theme, it is only applied to the section displaying the code and not the menu bar across the top nor the side panel on the left that lists the script files within a project. Instead those panels are always white text over a black background, and while I understand many prefer the dark theme, there are many like me who do not. Another complicating factor is I also use the High Contrast extension (increased contrast option) which renders the dark theme almost unreadable. Perhaps you could appease both groups by making it an option as to whether or not a theme is applied across all sections. One other minor quibble. The recent update also displays on the right a very compressed overview of all the lines of code in the opened script file. I'm not sure what the point of that overview is for as the scroll bar on the right does a fine job of letting me see at a glance where I am in the code. If you would, please make that an option as well as I find it takes up valuable screen real estate for no useful purpose.
Finally, the ability to search all project files. How: Do the usual Ctrl-F, then expand the search box down to show the "Replace" line. Use the Left & Right arrows on the right to search other files - the hover text says "Previous File" and "Next File". Also really nice themes with dark mode. And the abillity to collapse the files panel on the left. Thank you Andrey Belov for saving our collective insanities. But what's up with the high IQers at Google for missing search-all-files functionality? Anyway...
This extension allows you to use dark-mode in the script editor, which makes things easier on your eyes along with relevant highlighting which makes it much easier to quick scan blocks of code.
Great workaround script for a showstopper bug in the new Google Apps Script editor. I have no idea how Google forgot to include global search when they ditched the old, functional editor. This script makes the new editor useful. My only beef is that it's unintuitive to access the global search. At minimum, it would be nice if the developer gave written instructions outside of the screenshots.
Brilliant! Lots of colour combinations, but the interface options especially are a game-changer for me. Would prefer to have lists of options rather than having to cycle through, but it still simple enough to work out.
My colleague Andrey Belov made this amazing extension. He'd like to share with those who are missing some of VS code appearance and functionality. Make the background black to keep your eyes safer, remove extra interface to save space on your laptop. And search through all the files within your project! We're using it for couple months and now time to share with the Apps Script community. Thanks, Andrey!
