Absolute GODSENT extension. One room for improvement : While downloading images in a string of opened tabs, the ordering isn't always respected, breaks and end up requiring manual intervention. A humble request to solve this (if possible) and it becomes pretty much perfect. Thank you for the amazing work nonetheless!
thank you very much for amazing extension
Awesome! Ability to add a list of links is great!
I enter the file URLs, click download, and nothing happens.
Work lika a charm!
Nice and simple. Works way better than other extensions for mass downloading images
This app is thus far, with all unable pen on my part, a mystery! It seems to downloas a website you can turn back on in offline mode, and this, and again I get the sense of wheels within wheels here, but I am dashed if I can see both the wheels or the bally good this can do one. Once you click on any given dead link, it recharges itself hooking on to the mainline juice of the up-and-going browser. I am done with unfair treatment of other people, so no more leaving spiteful and hurting app reviews or even silently within myself then I drink a new brand of "brus", ("soda" you say there, and "squash" the English say down there). So yes, that ironic voice of yours just now: "Oh yea so this is what passes for a good review in Norway, yea right, and even if it wasn't not among the the top ten historic stinkers, that's because you moved in ahead of it and raked in both coconaut and cigar for being a stinker!" LESS ART MORE MATTER: How can I use this app to download links that's otherwise being kept at a distance while they dingle it under your nose, probably using mirrors somewhow. Please tell me how can I for instance download a wall of images from the movie Insomnia with Al Pacino, studio-stills so barred by copyright paranoia that the images is tied up in so much code that Hudini practically "had it made", (as you say, when he lay inside ten coffins at the bottom of a watertank insde a safe-deposit box to which the janitor's senile aunt forgot the key around McKinley's Second Term, "so it should be here somewhere, half a mo!!!! (shouting down-like into the watertank, from which merky depths one hears the reverbed voice of Houdinin brought up through the water: "You can forget about a Reference!"
Works great, pasted a long list of url links and it downloaded them fast!
I was faced with an extremely daunting task after external images caused my WooCommerce import to fail. Looked like I would need to manually download 1000+ images. Instead this downloaded them all with the expected file name in about a minute. Worked like an absolute charm!
This amazing extension helped me saving USD 300 development cost of a custom tool.
You've just saved me hours of my life. Thank you so much. I shall go to the ball instead of manually downloading images!
Needed to download 500+ images from a list. This extension worked perfectly. Took no time at all. But it was downloading .jpg files as .webp files. Gross! Adding ?99 to the end of the file fixed that and all the images downloaded as .jpg files as they should.
Wow, am in the process of moving a business gallery to a new site and needed to pull "Just" the images scattered all over the client's server. Was going to cry before finding this extension. I know you coded it because you had a need but, thank you soooooooooo much for sharing it with us. What I figured would take me a full week to chip away at was done in one sitting.
Exactly what I needed, been searching for something like this for about and hour and was just about to give up. Thank you very much!!!
This extension was great, but somehow it is not able to download pdf files anymore...
Simply put... doesn't work. I have a list of 300+ urls to PDFs. It either ignores the list completely or it downloads a weird word doc. Alas!
It's a great tool. Kudos to the developers. I was facing issue in downloading images that was uploaded in a third party server. There was no option to download it as bulk and this tool made things work.
It seems to be able to download tabs fine but doesnt do anything when I try to downlaod links
Impressive... I was trying to download 85 images which I had the link from an excel file, the extension donwloaded in like 5 seconds after copy paste of bulk list
This is my only review, and probably will be my only review. That's how much I love this extension
Amazing extension. Saved me hours of time. Thank you Developer
fulfilled my purpose but request the developer to add zip functionality for each batch download.
Just did the job well. Thank you!
Works like a charm. Does exactly what it promises!
simple and fast loved it. Thanks
Best batch links downloader
Very nice! However, you should note that there is 52 link maximum. If you paste more than that, it will not download the content of the urls. Can you increase that?
Software works great.
Awsome App! It pretty much saved me a day to download all the files one by one. Props
Very helpful, but I noticed a problem with files with same name but in different folder. Example: product_a/1.jpg and product_b/1.jpg . At the end it is very hard to select 1.jpg. It would be good to save additional info into file or give an option in list next to the downloadable URL, the name I want to give to downloaded file.
Saved me hours of work manually downloading files.
Time saving extension, Loved it <3
work well! awesome!
Extremely easy to use and works like a charm.!!! Highly Recommended to all users. Thank you.
Works great. Exactly what I needed. Thanks for sharing this.!
Works well!
Excellent extension. Light and effective. Just hope you'll implement the CLOSE TAB AFTER SAVING option. Would appreciate it very much :) Cheers
excelente aplicación funciona de lujo
Fed it with over 600 links, got only 159 files and no errors. Why didn't you complete such basic functionality?
I used your app to download 100 webpages that I want to extract some data from. You saved me some precious time.
I was about to drag and drop 242 images from unique URLs to a folder on my desktop. You literally saved me like 6 hours of my life. God bless you naivelocus.
Excellent Add-on!! made my work easy. I have been searching for this type of extension. Finally found this very useful.
useless - i dont wat a bunch of download links, I want a cetral link to reopen them all.
does not work! see more info at: https://github.com/lmmx/tabsave/issues/10
Doesn't appear to work at all now.
I love this app. It is much better than anything out there. Believe me, I've looked. I was even able to make it work on web pages that require a password/username.
Very cool extension. I needed to download a few hondred images from links that i had and it downloaded it almost instantly.
Was working perfectly fine, then just decided it didn't want to work anymore.
Very cool little app! Is there a way to slow down the url open rate, i'm downloading images from a server that only allows 25 downloads per second from a single ip address, and this beast opens like 2000 in a couple of seconds? Would be good to be able to define the speed.
Tab save help me a lot, thanks:>
I just used the paste links to download. Well done!
I had more than 500 photobucket links and didn't know how to download them all in one go, and this app did it for me!! Was SO happy and relieved to find it!
It doesn't work. It'll download tabs but not entered links.
It would be cool if it could save all tabs as (combined/split) PDF.
EXACTLY what I needed.. PERFECT. Thank you!!!
Great Extension! But I have a problem when download pdf file. I have list of PDF file, paste it then press download button but nothing happens. My links still work when I open one by one in a tab, it not download directly but open on Chrome tab. Can u help me download list of PDF file?
Helped me get tabs to a file format for export to PDF in under two minutes. Works for me.
Tried a dozen different download apps. They all died on my test file, but this little app got past the test file. Kudos! I'll try the big file now and see how it does. Best, Dan
No longer does well the simplest functionality i need from this extension. Simple want to be able to copy paste a list of currently open tabs, so i can save somewhere like a text file or evernote. It can make a list of all open urls, but you have to copy paste individually and cant select them all at once. If i wanted to copy paste them individually i would just do so directly from the tabs....
Would like to see a throttle option. Just need to add this: sleep(3050) to the tabDL() function. Also, downloads stop when clicking on the webpage on the same tab as the tab-save window. To continue using chrome, make sure to use another window.
It may have been helpful for bunch downloading, but it's really hard to use, options seem unresponsive - and it also lags chrome downloading system even if not actively used
Thank you for great extension! Easy to instal, easy to use. It did exactly what I was looking for. Needed badly for ex.ua big Ukrainian file sharing website where there is no "download all" option in the directories.
Chrome will immediately attempt to pop a Save As dialog for each file you try to download. In parallel. I just pasted a large list and it crashed Chrome. I assumed it would prompt for a folder to place the downloaded files, not prompt for each file. Shortsighted.
great app.. helps me a lot.. :) :) :)
Options doesn't work. Otherwise great tool!
Does exactly what it says, nothing more, nothing less. Sincere thanks to the developer, great work
To anyone leaving bad reviews as a form of feedback - I don't get notified of reviews here. There's a support link on the Details tab here if you want to suggest features. I could add further features and have an Options page (I've not written an Options page, which is why it "doesn't work")... Please register issues at: github.com/lmmx/tabsave/issues
Great extension, exactly what i needed.
Does exactly what it promises. Super-useful in saving time! Thank you for the build!
This was a huge help when it came to migrating data from a severely outdated website. I was able to pull most of the content using the Tab Save URL lists. This app saved me tons of time. Thanks!
Well written, does what it says. Just make sure that the server can take the concurrent downloads! Props to you!
HOLYSHIT it opened a dialog for EACH download browser crashed PC almost blows up
Did exactly what was advertised. Found on stackoverflow. Thanks Louis
Works well with a lot of URLs
Needed to copy a couple of thousand images from our datafeed site for resizing, added tabsave, dropped the links into the box in one go pressed the download arrow and off it went, all the images in the download folder in less than ten minutes. It certainly helped me complete the task in a very short time no fuss no bells and whistles, it does not claim to have any it just did the job and did it well! thank you for sharing your work
Tab Save does not throttle the downloads at all. Did a list of urls to download pdf files and it got our IP banned for attempting to download them all at once, thinking we were attacking their system. We are no longer able to access the materials from that site. Also, "Options" does not work.
@Mike McConnell must have forgotten to uncheck the 'Ask where to save each file before downloading' option in his Chrome settings. I was able to download all of the pictures I wanted in one click. The only feature I would request (and I'm not sure whether or not this is possible) is the ability to set a save path without having to go into my settings.
Laughably bad. The whole point of wanting to add a list of URLs to a downloader like this is I don't want to confirm 500 downloads individually. I want to paste in the URLs, set a save path and click go.
