I lost all my bookmarks due to a simple miss click no way to undo this at all no warning just all gone yes there is a way to back them up but you only see this if you explicitly go to the web page of the actual extension I just lost 3 years + of bookmarks thanks a lot

bro i right the right password and it's not correct i did it alot of times and i was ok forget it reset everything but i copy the backup so i can put it when i reset then i reset i put in my new password then i go to backup to import BUT OH NO U NEED THE OLD PASSWORD TO IMPORT 1/5 never gonna use it again

I forgot my password so i had to reset but while i was trying to remember all my bookmarked i finally remembered my password please at least try to add something to be able to get all your stuff back if you forget and reset but you remember your password later. PLEASE!!

I lost access to my bookmarks after the latest update. v.1.4.5

If I could recover my bookmarks after I forgot my password, it would be great. Other than that, I'm pretty okay with how this extension works.

The extension is great but I'd like the feature to open all of the bookmarks in a bookmark folder at once.

It works perfect on my work computer but when I logged in on my home computer the bookmark list was empty! I can't seem to get it to sync between work and home computer even though I am logged into Chrome with the same Google account. Disappointed it won't sync. I tried logging in/out and toggling sync settings on/off, nothing worked.

Thanks, I changed my windows and now I can't backup the bookmarks. "Password does not match data" my a**. I typed it 3 hours ago and now you tell me that it does not match?

Everything about this is perfect! Just what i needed. The only problem is that I can't READ MY BOOKMARKS because they are a very bright white colour. AND THERE'S NO WAY TO CHANGE THIS COLOUR EITHER. Very frustrating. Please fix this issue.

for anyone who forgot to backup your bookmark list, try export all your bookmarks in plain text and save all those links in a private document, this way you still have the links before you delete this extenstion. I desperately need a function to move my secure bookmarks back to regular bookmarks so that I can access them

I had concerns about password security, found this extension, downloaded, and installed. Had bookmarks moved Secure Bookmarks in a few minutes. I am using this on my Windows desktop and my Chromebook.

Just needs some sort of management like a sort function and it would be 5 stars.

The extension works really well. You can add folders, rename favorites and delete them easily. The fact that you have to login makes it really secure. The one thing I really really wish was in this extension is icons for sites. It may seem like a small detail that I am picking on, but icons are my way of navigating trough my favorites. Sometimes I feel like there is so much black and white and I really have to look for the names of my favorites. Anyways it may just be personal preference. If the extension had icons I would have given it 5 stars. And if somebody thinks adding it is not a good idea, it can always be a option for those who want to use icons. Anyway, everything else works wonders :)

Backup your bookmarks like it recommends. I trusted the program so I didn't and not even a few weeks later my adult bookmarks vanished just like that. What's the point of this or backing it up insecurely when I can just delete them before this program does.

When i tried removing it, i deleted all my bookmarks inside, once i tried recovering it, the password "did not match the data." It works though, just not well, sometimes it crashes, opens new tabs just to show it crashed, doesn't work, requires a password every time.

Now I no longer have bookmarks problem because all of my bookmarks are gone!!!!

Was nice while it worked, then one day the extension corrupted and my backup from less than a month ago is not working, so I've lost about a year worth of bookmarks. Awful.

Works for the most part, but there are a couple of concerns. For the creators, I would recommend a pop-up warning when deleting a folder/file because items could be deleted way too easily. Not to mention, information can easily be lost, especially since the extension could be effortlessly removed. For users, I would recommend that you keep less sensitive bookmarked items, just in case they may go missing one day.

DOES NOT CONFIRM WHEN YOU PRESS DELETE. Lost an entire folder because of this. No way to recover either. Clearly was not made for humans to use.

The extension crashed everytime I moved 1 bookmark/folder from my chrome to the secure folder. I ended up having to delete the extension because it was lagging my computer so much and kept on crashing. Ended up losing 80% of all my bookmarks (The ones I ported over) The worst experience i've ever had with an extension...

Have to drag and drop each individual bookmark from my regular bookmarks because folders don't work, there should be an option to just move all bookmarks to the secure bookmarks.

It was perfect for hiding my private bookmarks that i don't want others to see, like it to the core :) and for google, this feature should be added in general for chrome, this is a mess omnibox can't solve where all my private bookmark showing when typing in adress bar -_-

There is no option sync bookmark between multiple devices. In today's word this is much needed feature.

Any plans to moving to chrome.storage.sync instead of chrome.storage.local? Would love if this extension could sync secure bookmarks in all my chrome installations.

It forces you to use a long password. I just want to use it to keep my bookmarks private so they don't appear in the address bar. If the program didn't try to bully and force the user to use a long password then I could do that more easily. A program should not try to police a user and be so inflexible.

I really love this plug-in. There are a few things that I wish it did a little better but I'm hoping it will just get better with time. Thanks for building it.

Its very hard to move the bookmarks from the "Regular Bookmarks" to "Secure bookmarks" it takes too much time, i wish there is a faster way. 2nd thing the app crashes when big folder is moved from one side to the other. other than that it would be cool

It's a great extension... as long as you don't need to change a computer (or otherwise move/restore/share on several devices your bookmarks. If for any reason you have to reinstall the extension - ALL YOUR BOOKMARKS WILL BE LOST! Oh, and the backup file cannot be used as well... I lost all my bookmarks - won't be using this extension again!

I like the extension, it's easy to use. Would be five stars if I didn't have to keep clicking the extension to open the window fully. Found out if you try to drag the bottom bookmark, it will open up the entire window but it is frustrating that I have to do this in the first place.

CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH CRASH. I have to click the extension a few to dozens of times to get it the ajax to actually open. It is beyond frustrating. It has gone days without working and me not being able to access my links at all. --- Right idea. Horrible code.

I am a aspiring programmer and found a way to install your extension in opera xD. It works like charm. Thanks. You can maybe upload it to opera extension center too.

Good one but there should options like select all or import bookmarks from chrome or other web browsers.

The bookmarks seemed to make sense, but the folders feature does not seem to work. Can't drag any bookmarks into folders, tried a dozen different things - must be a bug? In general, it does what it says (excepting folders) but is a bit poorly designed, and maybe overly simplistic.

DO NOT USE!!!! There's a bug where if you backup your bookmarks, it will ask for a password to restore but not recognize your password no matter what.

Dropdown list disappears as soon as you click the extension icon. Click 4-5 times and the dropdown of sites finally appears. Buggy.

Great app, does the job fine. Could definitely use a "search" function to find the correct one of my 500 bookmarks.

It seems working so far. I don't understand any of the fancy thingies. But so far it's what I looked for. You add the folder/bookmarks you want to private, and then you allow in incognito (in extensions) Then, next time you open in incognito, click on the icon and type the password (you should have set it before)

it's okay for secure my bookmarks. But if you log in with another computer, BOOM! You will be asked for set up password again. And then? list bookmarks that have been secured from previous computer is not appear. This is just offline secure bookmark. I don't recomend it for you that use multiple device.

Clunky UI and the back-end keeps failing to the point where I takes four or five attempts to open the menu. At this point, if I could work out how to export all my "Secure" bookmarks and import them as normal ones again, I'd go back to not using it.

I used the extension for a while and it worked for the most part, very glitchy, very irritating at times, but it worked at least. After a while, transferring bookmarks between the Chrome bookmarks and the Secure Bookmarks folders would duplicate the bookmark folder and sometimes not fully transfer them so it would cut the contents of the folder between the two. After a bit of use, I had like 12 folders with bits and pieces of my 2 years worth of bookmarks, but I thought that it had only duplicated them, but instead hadn't fully copied all of them and when I deleted the duplicates, I discovered that I only had like 1/16 of my original bookmarks, and no way to recover them whatsoever. Thanks for that. Because the app glitched out and crashed on multiple occasions, I lost everything.

This extension is great, but please please give us a search function! It would be incredibly useful to be able to search through all your bookmarks. Similar to the plugin Neater Bookmarks.

IT is really a useful tool, only that I remember my password still my bookmarks are not on the list, I will have to spend a whole month again

I lost my secure bookmark icon. I went into tools, opened extensions & "enabled" secure bookmarks. The icon re-appeared on the toolbar, it accepted my password & all of my bookmarks were there.

Works great and is simple and easy to use! Was able to easily import select Chrome bookmarks and bookmark folders that I didn't want showing up in omnibox anymore. I back up the encrypted Secure Bookmarks file to GoogleDrive for archive and restoring to other computers. Love this extension!

Works great for a while. Then it looses all of your bookmarks and forgets your password. If you use this, make sure you export you bookmarks somewhere or you might end up loosing them.

exactly what I've been looking for it aces against every other bookmarks plug-in out there but still needs few improvements and an option make this extension only available in incognito is would be great addition :)

Would rate higher if it included Secure Bookmark search and ability to Save a page as a Secure Bookmark directly into a folder. (like Starring a page in regular Chrome Bookmarking)

For the purpose I was using this plug-in, I didn't need to export any bookmarks. I was just using this for bookmarks to use in incognito mode without anyone being able to stumble across my favorites or link names in the omnibox. This plugin is exactly what I was looking for and it is incredible! It was difficult trying to make my first bookmark go into a folder, but I got everything figured out. Thanks!

Admittedly, I just installed this extension, but so far it does exactly as it advertised. It's very simple to move my bookmarks around and access them when I need them. For those worried about losing their bookmarks, it takes about 2 seconds to back them up.

Brilliant extension. It's secure and doesn't stand out.
