I love this extension but I can't get the export to google drive all tabs to work. Does anyone know why? If this would work, I would rate 5 stars.

Tab import option not working... You can save it, but no use if you can use it later on

It's absolutely mental how hard it was to find something like this. Simple, easy, saves tabs, no bloat with useless features and confusing nonsense.

IT HAS NOT STARTED SUPPORTING TAB GROUPS IN GOOGLE CHROME. WHICH IS DISAPPOINTING. REST OF THE PART ARE GOOD.

When it's working on an ongoing basis it works well. However, if you have an export, and especially a large export, then you are going to be sorry as the import from the export it does won't import right. Even after hand editing the file to remove single quotes as reviews have mentioned it still just stops at importing only 10 groups out of the like 100+ groups I have. Really sucks to have found this out after wiping my machine and attempting to restore from backup. Looks like I'll be moving on from this app and trying something else.

we need to be able to export the bookmarks saved to a local file on the computer

Been using for a long time now, today just realized "once again" how beautiful and helpful this extension is! Just wanted to thank the developers for bringing this into existence!! Lovee it :-)

Not fully restoring! "error could not prepare statement (1 near "s": syntax error)" I'll probably make it work thanks to reviewer Charbel Harika but it shouldn't create this mess in the first place. Can't be too hard to fix, please make this a priority.

I liked it when it used to work. Now I setup my pages as I'd like to have them saved, and try to save and it saves a profile but its empty. I load previously saved tsd files, and it fails to load anything. So, it used to work great, but now there is a problem. Please respond if/when you see this.

i really like the app (and i still use it tody!) but there are 2 bugs to metion 1 I bypassed : when importing tabs part of the groups diden't load and chrome mentioned errors and I bypassed it by finding and erasing the characters that bothered that was " ' " and some diffrent " (i did it easly via editpad lite via search and replace) 2 is that it wont uplode to drive (not really importent) i'd be happy it'l be fixed but anyway its working for me so Thank You author

Works really well for me. I personally like the way it replaces all current tabs in the window, rather than just adding new ones. Good for switching contexts. The developer seems particularly switched onto how people use things. Clean interface - simple no nonsense. When they added a facebook like button, I was quickly able to disable in the settings.

My favourite extension ever. Very useful. But it could do better if it was possible to better organize it and search.

Can someone tell me where this extension saves its settings locally on a Windows machine. I'm trying to recover a bunch of tabs from a dead system.

Excellent, just what I needed to switch tabs between different projects. Request: Have an autosave current tabs in session option, so I dont have to click 5 times to switch. tabsaver -> sprocket -> save -> confirm save -> open other saved tabs As opposed to tabsaver (autosaved in current sesion) -> open other saved tabs

If you get "error could not prepare statement (1 near "s" : syntax error)" Edit the exported file and remove all brackets, hyphens and apostrophes from the titles using notepad and CTRL-H find and replace. Then try to re-import after refreshing the import page.

I like how you can create a tab group and modify an already created Tab group. I found there is a bug when trying to export tabs to Google Drive as it will continue to stall. I increase my rating if you can fix these issues.

So far, so good but for one thing. When I try to export tabs, it displays the message "SENDING TABS GROUPS DATA TO GOOGLE DRIVE" and gets stuck there...never saves the data. I am logged into google but it still won't save the tabs data.

does not re-open tabs in correct window

I just installed it and it solved exactly the problem I was trying to solve! Simple and straight to the point. I'm seriously considering a donation, after using it for a few days.

I am a mac user, but I often reach the ram limit of 8 gigs. Every time I do that, I was forced to close all the tabs and forget the track of my online research. Now with this tool, I can close tabs with ease knowing that I won't be letting them go.

This is a great tool. I can move groups of tabs between computers, and save related tabs so I don't need to keep them all open. My only complaint is that the delete group option does not seem to work. You can kill entries but not the group (my work around is to prefix an X, but that is going to be a long list after a while

Works fine, except for: - This nasty bug when there's a single quote in the title. In that case you'll then have to manually adjust the exports before you're able to re-import them. - Deleting tab groups doesn't work properly on chrome: the confirm dialog disappears as soon as you see it When looking at the activity regarding this plugin, it looks like this plugin is no longer maintained, and therefore these won't get fixed any time soon.

I liked the way this extension works. I used to use Tabbed Groups in Firefox until Mozilla broke with their upgrade to FF57. I couldn't find a suitable replacement in their store. So I looked in the Chrome store and found the Tab Saver extension and installed Chrome and Tab Saver. It only took about a half an hour to figure it out and so far works very well. I would ask for an upgrade though with the following: When opening a different group of tabs, do not have all the tabs load the data from the websites, just the one in foreground.

ISSUE: The current set of tabs are getting REPLACED by new set after clicking it in its popover. It's a BAD experience. We just need this extension ONLY to add saved list of tabs/pages! I want to have current all open tabs, and also add all of the saved ones. Rest all looks good!

Dear Sander please help the extension getting better. Where are the tabgroups stored so we may SAVE & BACK-UP then and EXPORT them? Please REPAIR your own EXPORT function to Cloud Drive - it only allows FIVE tabprofiles - I use 35! Thank you Baby Boomer [email protected]

I liked this extension until it became glitchy. At one point, I lost all of my saved tabs which was pretty upsetting. I still tried using it. Now it won't let me delete a group. I can delete everything from the group, but I cannot get a saved group to delete.

Unmaintained extension with bugs that need fixing. Could be good but is broken. Still sort of useful but if a chrome OSX bug could be fixed it would be 4 stars instead of 2.

Instl'd it. Saved my Tabs. Went to look at them and it wouldn't connect to GDrive.

I love it and use it all the time. The only issue I have is on my Mac laptop I can't delete any tab groups. The confirmation popup opens and closes so fast that I can't confirm the deletion. A fix for that would be great. I used to have this issue on my PC at home too, but if I was quick enough with the Enter key I could get it to work. No chance for doing that on the Mac.

Don't even try this garbage, it's dangerous! When I tried it and clicked on the group I previously saved, it messed up my tabs by placing them in random order without any warning. Use proper extensions like Bookmark All. The order bug must be related to the fact I've set Vivaldi to open tabs next to current, but the fact it replaces all tabs without any warning instead of expanding the tab group is unforgivable. Also, the group delete button doesn't work.

I can't access my old windows, i have installed windows on another system. May i know how do i move my old files over?

Good little extension, incredibly useful for saving pages you may want to return to just once (i.e. a newsletter or blog post) rather than filling up your bookmark toolbar and having to manage actively. Only gripe (and why this is 4 rather than 5 stars) is on my Macbook air running Chrome, I am unable to delete tab groups once saved. The "are you sure you want to delete" pop up opens very briefly and then automatically closes - meaning I am unable to delete tabs :( If this could be fixed, I'd be a very happy user.

Can only group tabs if you open new tabs in a new browser, otherwise ALL tabs are included in the new group. That means all groups are created identical. Plus endless waiting with auto-refresh/hangs of ALL tabs each time you switch groups. Worse than worthless.

Used fine on one machine for ages - moved machine and tried to transfer tabs - "error could not prepare statement (1 near "s" : syntax error) - only one of my groups can be re-imported. So beware, import / export is pretty buggy. (UPDATE : Comment below mentioned that single quote / apostrophes in the titles were breaking the import - after going through and removing ALL single quotes in fields, NOT just the ones in titles, 13 of 13 groups now import. So if you're stuck, give that a try... it got my groups back! good luck!"

This is the single most valuable extension has on my computer. A better filing system would be good.

Trying to migrate open tabs from one computer account to another. Exported as file, on new account after selecting the exported tabs and clicking IMPORT does nothing.

it is no longer supported and updated; the import functionality imports just the first 9 items!! there is np contact details of its developer!!

It has import/export bug. If you export a tab group with a single quotation character in one of its tab titles, it wont import whole tab group. Open Tabdata file with notepad and replace all single quotation characters with space, voila...

What the hell. I pressed on the App Icon. All my current tabs were saved in a new group. Then I deleted some tabs from that group. Then I chose the group and all the tabs that I excluded from the group were gone. Where did they go? I mean - I lose all the tabs that I do not include in a any group? And when I chose "tips" I got the text that app wants to: "View and manage Google Drive files and folders that you have opened or created with this app"...no one should have access to my google drive!

Does the job. very useful and simple easy-to-use app, I would suggest to SanderMander to add a sharing of saved tabs feature. Thanks for this excellent convenience.

It used to work fine, now when I want to delete or update a tabs group it shuts down the extension.

Excellent, exactly what I needed. Being able to save and restore entire groups of tabs is super handy!

Good ext, I like the ability to update group! Wanted features: 1) Reverse sorting 2) Automatic Backup 3) Touch friendly interface, now icons are too small 3a) Add and Save buttons should be already visible 4) Search saved tabs

I like this extension apart from one thing. New groups are saved at the end of the list- why? It would seem that the reverse would be more user friendly. Or how about giving the user choice? Other ways seem better too, it's hard to think of a less useful way other than a random order. Good ordering options would be newest save first, last opened set of tabs, alphabetical.....

great app! came back after a while and wasnt disappointed.

I like the extension, BUT I don't want it to close all the current open tabs when I ask it to open a collection of saved tabs. Have it open a new Chrome window instead of killing all my tabs for its benefit.

Good one. But it seems it doesn't support loading tabs very well. Yes it CAN save and load tabs in loading, but while those tabs would have no name in the group, you can not click and open them unless you open the whole group at once. Hope this be fix later. Besides, the option "don't close opened tabs after open saved group" should be set as default, people need this, but not everyone would visit setting page like me. Also, it would be better if there's a feature like "do not close plug-in lay (when open saved group or tab)" or "auto delete saved tab after opening it".

This used to work well, but now it wants access to my Google drive and a few other things that I would never give access to. So, bye. Update: Looks like this is the reason it wants Drive access: Ability to export all stored data to Google Drive and import it later in other PC. Still, I'm not giving it drive access. Developer, please remove this feature!

Really good extension till it requests new permissions. Uninstalled.

It works well but I hate when stuff increases it's permission requirements. Now it is requesting more (access to my online google accounts like drive, etc) and somehow it auto updated when it was working fine so either I accept the new permissions or I can't use it anymore. wtf, I would have just kept the previous version then. I'm searching for a replacement so I may keep my web access private. This was just supposed to do 1 simple job of saving active browsing tabs...

I face the same problem as Tim John. So I will remove the extension now and find another. I hope the developer would fix this bug, and I'd be happy to use it again.

Good.. I couldn't find my previous tab saver. so installed this and it's fine..

It can't save the scroll position, the content of form/text-box, etc. So it doesn't restore exactly as before. Not so different than "Bookmark all tabs..." menu that bundled with chrome.

I can deal with the awkward user interface, but the biggest problem is with opening a group of tabs. All your current tabs are closed one by one before the saved group is opened!

It is nice and promising though in the beginning it is a bit puzzling. The ability to group tabs by theme or subject is what I have been looking for as I usually have more than 20 tabs open (yes, men can be multitasking). There are at least two problems though. ONE being that when you delete a group it doesn't ask for confirmation. and TWO being that once you have spread to groups you have no way to move tabs to another group if you misclassified it. Oh yes number THREE being that once grouped if for some reason you want to go back to ALL of them then you are at a loss. Another big issue is that it does not autosave your tabs in a group, when you switch groups then your new tabs in that group disappear unless you manually save. It is nice but I am afraid that the lack of such basic functions overshadow what it was created for :( It needs some SERIOUS rethinking for usability. You can't remove tab groups, no button to update all, no way to manage groups, tabs are gone just like that. PLEASE redesign this so that it can be as great as it can be.

It does what it's supposed to do save tabs!!! Very useful if you need to restart your system, or close Chrome for whatever reason, and you have tabs open that you need to go back to.

This app does exactly what I was looking for it to do. If I could ask for one thing, it would be for the tab groups to open in a new window so that they still don't get lost, but so I still have that tabs that were already open and I don't have to open a new window myself before I open a tab group.

I LOVE' THIS ONE.

This is amazing! I was so sick of having a billion tabs open when doing research and having to switch between different tab sets. This makes my browser and my brain so much less cluttered!

This is exactly what I was looking for. I tried several other tab saver/manager extensions and they all had quirks that weren't acceptable. This little extension lets me save a group of tabs and then quickly re-open them at a later time. I can close my browser, re-open the browser, open and close other tabs, and then quickly get back to my saved group - either adding it to the currently open tabs, replacing the currently open tabs, or opening them in a new window - perfect! The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because when you right-click on a tab group to manage it I keep getting the "Inspect Element" context menu, making it hard to see the extension's buttons. I'd recommend either getting rid of the context menu, or have the buttons appear after hovering for a half second or so. But I can deal with that. I'm very happy! Thanks SanderMander! P.S. For anyone wondering about additional settings, check out the Hints page - right click on the icon and go to Options and then click the Hints tab.

I was looking for a Firefox Panorama replacement and this is probably the closest to meeting my needs so far. Now that I've had some time with it, the only option I would like is for it to retain pin'd tabs when changing groups.

Difficult to delete Tabs- tried to delete one group but app deleted everything!

Nice, but when i accidentally clicked a saved tab group while having my current tabs open (they were not saved to any group), it simply wiped them out and replaced with the group i clicked. Dammit ! I lost all my open tabs right away, without any asking, i hate it! Other than that, it can be a handy tool.

Works well, but when the tab has a single quote in the name, it can't save the tabs. N00b mistake, dude.

Pros: It was really good. Saves all tabs. Cons: Basically the same thing as Ctrl+Shift+D

Looks okay but can not edit the names of the groups. The text field can't get focus. The typed keys are intercepted by the browser. Not the plugin.

Pretty nice. It would be great to be able to send specific tabs to an existing or new group instead of having to save all and edit.

I like it, but I can't figure out how to contact the developer. I'm trying to Import four saved tab groups from one computer to another. I save the text shown, and import it, but only two tab groups are imported.

Better than session manager and session buddy, lets you add, remove and manage lists from the icon instead of having to open a whole new tab! Also lets you open individual tabs (websites) instead of just opening the whole list, like session buddy. Simple, clean, intuitive and functional. Except for opening up a list of tabs where you need to shift+click or ctrl+click. A double click function would be great. Thanks!

I would have preferred a way to decide which tabs of ones that are opened to be saved in the group. I see little difference with this app and a session manager.

Very good extension. I didn't find where I can report bug. So I report my bug here : When you want to import links, if the name of a tab contain a single quote ' that make the import to fail. I removed the ' and now the import works. Hope that could help you.

I needed something to reload my home pages since Chrome doesn't do this like Firefox, and this extension does just that. I like being able to delete a single tab in the group. As someone else pointed out, sorting would be a nice option (groups and tabs). I don't think it is as intuitive as it could be, though. For instance, while trying to find a delete function I just happened upon the context menu and figured out that I can delete. IMO - The context menu items should be to the right of the name instead.
