such a good virus cleaning program!!
was lagging on chrome to watch youtube it wasn't running well just after from 1 minute of downloading it video didnt stopped ,cnot even for a single second ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for me it deserves 10 stars
Whenever Chrome is updated the Auto-Play setting resets to OFF! So annoying to have to turn the setting back on!!!!
It does not stop videos on LinkedIn for some reason.
It does nothing apart from collecting and harvesting user data
with only few exception it pause all ads videos as soon as it load, I do not keep my laptop mute but also I do not like unwanted sound so it helps a lot.
I'm still using it, and it's working fine on most sites EXCEPT for Fox News! Their annoying videos on top of articles play every single time. Also, I don't like the notification that McAfee blocked a video from playing every time it does. Please get rid of that and I will change my rating.
A must for browsing the internet; it does exactly what it says: it stops videos from auto-playing and helps keep your internet browsing fast.
As of May 2022, this extension isn't working on Chrome or Edge. Videos are playing as normal. This is a shame up until recently it worked pretty well, sometimes only needed a refresh to prevent videos playing. Please fix it!
This thing keeps adding itself to my extension whenever added a new profile on Chrome for whatever reason
For some reason, it doesn't work on nationalgeographic.com. Everywhere else, but not there.
It just modifies your default search engine. When you are browsing the web an annoying bar appears below the adressbar and is gone in a few seconds. What is fricking annoying if you want to press an button on an website and the button shifts down.
tHIS APP PLACED AN AD FOR THEIR SOFTWARE ON MY SCREEN. THERE WAS NO X OR CLOSE BUTTON. USING TASK MANAGER TO KILL THIS APP CAUSED IT TO REBOOT THE SAME AD. THIS IS 100% UNDENIABLY ADWARE, WHICH IS IRONIC GIVEN IT'S MCAFEE. DELETE THIS FROM YOUR APP STORE, AND STOP SUPPORTING MCAFEE PRODUCTS. THAT'S THE ONLY THING T0 DO. ALTHOUGH I KNOW GOOGLE IS MORE GREEDY THAN SENSIBLE -_-
is this a virus?
Never stopped video from loading just pauses them, usually after the video has started a few seconds Now today websights are constantly switching it off so basically it has become worthless.
I like this extension as it prevents Auto play videos , especially Ads . You can always play video clicking on play button in video frame. This saves memory and processing and data transmission, Ultimately it fastens your browsing. Thanks McAfee!!
when in first started adding this extension i loved it! but then i played roblox and it kept saying an error when that never happens
this is great when I'm in online class I'm able to run everything faster
McAfee Web-Boost works in the background without a hitch. I like that it stops videos on web pages so I don't have to hunt down the page to turn them off. I also recommend McAfee Total Protection because of all you get in one package for multiple devices, it even has VPN along with Credit monitoring and all for a very reasonable price!
Every time the extension stops a video and you want to restart it, the audio start, but the video itself disappears. It's impossible to watch a news video with this.
It boosts my downloads by a ton!
Terrible. When I go in to my meetings, everything just says"paused by Mcafee Web boost"Do not get!!!
I like it! it stops videos even on CNET, lol. It only knows once the video starts, so you might hear a sound for a split second. it's simple app, there are no settings or whitelist options
Love it! Stops videos in their tracks!
Its an epic extension it barley does anything to your computer it only keeps you save :D
The apps helps to clear unwanted items and helps to make spaces for new storage and boots the computer speed.
i thinks is great
Its an awesome app. It blocks web videos from automatically playing and this has saved me loads of data.
Works great.
Ever since I downloaded this my web experience has been so much slower to load pages and it has messed with watching movies.
www.www THX MCAFEE
I think it's great!!!!!
Its great at pausing video but it puts this annoying "Paused by McAfee Web Boost" on / next to videos. Alot of times its covering other web controls that have nothing to do with the video. It would be nice to have the ability to turn that off.
It gets a 4 out of 5 because it constantly changes my search engine to Yahoo from Google no matter how many times I keep changing it back to Google by default. Dear McAfee, cut it out!! Either than that it is great.
ITS AMAZING I LOVE IT
It stops auto run videos just fine... But when I click on a video that is not running to PLAY IT, it should NOT STOP that video...!!
This thing is a buggy pop up ad generator for McAfee. It came pre-installed on my laptop and I haven't been able to get rid of it since. Literally a virus produced by dell. 0/5
For the most part it's awesome I just can't stand the banners. I Facebook post lots of videos and sometimes there will be 3 or 4 banners all saying the video was paused because of how Facebook is working. Other than this one flaw, it does as advertised and saves me from stopping video ads from playing on various sites.
it lets me watch videos much better!
Love this app it makes going to different sites easier
I think that McAfee is awesome.
It blocks annoying video ad on top of the Youtube for me,
need more these kind of extension...i watch alot of videos.
Really works just as advertised and delivers far more than promised. My only beef with this app is lack of a whitelist to let videos play on selected webpages.
It's aggressive in PAUSING any streaming video (like background videos on a page, or Google Hangouts) AFTER it starts to play - it doesn't prevent them from starting in the first place.
This extension is awesome!!! It works great in speeding up the browsing experience...especially in social media, news, and other video streaming sites in which videos and/or ads are set to automatically start play upon hovering. With ad vids in particular, the scripts would take a little longer to feed until those for the vids would fully load...which was frustrating at times. I use it on the chrome browser both at work and at home.
