its very useful

The function for what it is, is obviously great. But there is another extension out there, Suberflix, which does the exact same thing as Substital but doesn't take away the user's ability to change the movie or show's resolution or watch speed. Suberflix has barely as many users as this app, and frankly deserve a lot lot more. Overall, what I will say is that while this extension is good, Suberflix and +Sub are better. Because, this application takes over the whole video screen, while the other 2 don't. My recommendation and request to Substital is to make it so your application does not take over the whole video screen, it just provides the subtitles and that is that.

Easy to use and detects videos on all types of sites.

Simple and easy to use. Literally go on any site with a video playing, press the extension, drop in your .srt file or zip and adjust timing/subtitle appearance. It's fantastic :)

So far, doing what's on the "TIN"....excelen sub on so many now USA made TV seriers that have so much spanish in it, nice to be able to undestand what is said....as they don't always have a sub.

Very useful but I wish it could add more than 1 language at the same time. It would be more helpful to learn languages

I used for adding Japanese subs for CrunchyRoll and it used to work but started ruining the playback of the video for the last few weeks. Tried asking support about it and they ignored my email. Can't speak on how it works for other websites.

I downloaded it for Airtel Xstream and it is not working with it. Netflix and Prime already have subtitles. Why would we need this extension for the websites that already has subtitles?

This is great. I gave it 4 star coz it doesn't support PIP mode.

It is great and works better than expected but it often keeps buffering and requires to refresh the page to fix it.

Very good but not perfect. The simple feature to be able to change the default font family is not possible, and for foreign languages, like Thai, the default font can make it less readable.

Really love this Extension. RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!

Only used it for 2 days with 3 movies, so far it's worked wonderfully! At first I just used it to apply a subtitle file that I download in advance, but then I was surprised to find that I can search for subtitles within the extension, how cool is that! Beside, if your subtitle doesn't match the time you can easily set it to go faster or slower, as not all subtitles are made equally.

Used couple times and would turn the video blank, never showed subtitles.

Works great! I love it! The only feature I would like to add is to be able to change the position of the sub.

It works as advertized. Would like to see more features like more colors of subtitles or different font outlines (the defaults are unreadable when a white background appears), because the only way to read them currently is to put a black box below them, if they could be customized better I'd give them 5 stars.

works great on "soap2day" could have a better search system. i.e remember previous searches, scraping possible searches from page and so on.

i cant adjust subtitle, button for editing dont open any popup for edit, but its ok bcs add subtitle but they are so fast and i cant slow it bcs button for edit dont work

The button at the bottom to change the subtitles, their font size and color, and sync doesn't work. The delay is fixed, but when you go into full screen mode, it still delays and gets worse as it goes on. It only doesn't delay when you're not in full screen mode. Please fix these issues asap.

I agree with most on all fronts. Absolutely the best, most unobtrusive and easy to use subtitle extension. However, delay is a huge issue and I agree with another reviewer... It only gets worse as it goes on. Completely ruins the magic of the film itself at this moment. Address this and I'd give it ten stars!

settings for delay at the bottom does not work. its new. i didnt have this problem before. pls fix this.

By far the best subtitling system out there. Not only can it detect videos, but you can even search for specific captions! I'm currently using it to watch Doctor Who and it's great! Thank you for making such a wonderful extention!

It'd be perfect if I could synchronize the subtitle more than just 3 seconds. some of the files I use start too early so its so annoying when I don't have the freedom to adjust it. the only reason im rating it low is because i need to draw the developers' attention. except for that its the best subtitle extension ever

great extension. I love this because it can add sub in the third part so i can choose sub easily.

Works very well for my purposes. There are a few annoying things tho, like if you accidentally press 'c', it will remove the subs and you have to refresh and set it up again. Also, I would really love if you could configure the transparency of the background for the subs (like in youtube). I have also had a couple issued with the UI party not responding to my mouse, like I haven't been able to move the slider (for timings), but have been able to type in a number...

I know there must be a reason you can't just click on the name of the movie under the extension button to select the subtitles or auto search when pressing the search icon, I just whish they would say why in the instructions.

Please add better synchronization; let us type any number of seconds rather than just having a slider form -3 to 3.

Slows down the video buffering. I would rather have an optimized video player than the one that waits to reach the limit to start loading again. Video works with no issues without this extension.

This subtitles seems very useful but whenever I put it on a video it doesnt work. Lets say the people in the movie is saying "I saw a banana with a hat" then the subtitles would say something they first say later on in the movie. Its super annoying and i dont know what to do. I tried downloading other subtitles but the only one that seems to work is this one.

Really easy way to integrate subtitles into streaming services! I love how you can search for subtitles once you activate the extension and select the video; usually you can find the proper one through the extension itself rather than having to go to a third party website and download the .srt file. Of course, you can do this too and upload your own subtitles to the platform, but you very rarely have to. No complaints other than that it sometimes struggles to find the right video player on non-commercial streaming services, and it sometimes bricks the video player completely on those websites too. But really, I'm getting all of this work for free, so I'm definitely not complaining at all. Would recommend!!

a verry good a extension

I was looking for an extension that did live translation to subtitles of video content. Ended up uninstalling since I don't need an extension that "only" reads existing subtitles, however from my limited use the extension seems well made. I would consider reinstalling if my needs change.

WARNING: piss poor extension... it replaces the current video adding subtitles (very good), but disables all video speed extensions (very bad). I've never seen another add-on that entirely breaks such massively widespread chrome extensions.
